The video correctly identifies that modern franchises often trade narrative soul for hollow spectacle, leaving audiences with nothing but fleeting thrills. It serves as a sharp reminder that without deep lore and genuine stakes, storytelling loses its power to become a lasting cultural myth.

Dude, if Empire is kind of like being real about this movie and that it's really kind of like A NOTHING BURGER, ODDLY, IT FEELS LIKE THE LEAST CONSEQUENTIAL Mandalorian chapter yet.
With previous episodes from the TV incarnation or even segments of the much maligned Book of Boba Fett having more impact on the narrative. It's thinner than skimmed blue milk. Dude, if Empire is kind of like being real about this movie and that it's really kind of like a nothing burger. And they do like real exclusive tidbits, drops, interviews with Empire for the sequel trilogy, for all of the Star Wars stuff. Like they are, you know, they're working with the mouse. If they're giving this kind of a very candid and very real review, Oh, not good.
Besides this ass part, whoever wrote this crap, while studiously avoiding getting bogged down in complex lore or anything too deep. Like that is a ridiculous line. And like everyone loves lore. And you don't have to be bogged down with it at all. Lore just means character development. It means depth. It means story. It means the people who will understand all of this are going to be dying to see this film.
And they're going to be dragging all their friends who don't know anything about this into that world. And you're going to embellish it and explain it and expand it further and and take us to a different place, to a galaxy far, far away. You make something surface level, you're going to get surface level people. They're going to be like, "Yeah, that was cute." But uh and go about their day. It's not going to resonate in their hearts. It's not going to stay with them forever. Like what the first six films did. Heck, the first three films, four, five, and six. Timeless.
Absolutely timeless. I will tell you what this film will do, though. I think kids up to the age of probably 14, 13 are going to absolutely love it. Because there's nothing to really think about.
It's like a Saturday morning cartoon episode, right? Just a little bit longer. Adventure, fun. It's Star Wars on the big screen. No doubt the music is going to be amazing. No doubt Skywalker Sound is going to absolutely kill it with their freaking SFX and crunchy beautiful audio. But beyond that, what are the stakes? Why are we all here? Why are we spending two hours to watch this?
Is am I going to leave the theater with something? Am I going to leave with more potential theories? Am looking forward to something? Are these characters really amazing? Or is it just kind of like a what we've seen time and time again? Baby Yoda's cute. Baby Yoda could have used more powers here. Why didn't he do that? Why didn't he do this? Din gets stuck in a pickle. Stakes get high.
He's fine. Baby Yoda gets him out of it or he gets out of it at the last second.
That's it. Movie ends and it's cute, heartfelt. Simply because Baby Yoda's cute. I mean, season 2 had tons of lore and there were tons of little Easter eggs that didn't even no regular surface level fan that just came into Star Wars would even have noticed that Jaster Mereel was on Boba's wrist shooting out as a hologram. That you would have to translate, too. Like
