Colorado Buffaloes players must separate themselves during summer workouts through position-specific excellence: quarterbacks need to master the playbook, build chemistry with receivers, and diagnose pressure pre-snap; wide receivers must master route trees, create separation, and study opponent tendencies; running backs must protect the quarterback, pass lock, and demonstrate versatility; tight ends need to block with leverage and be reliable targets; offensive linemen must protect the quarterback and communicate effectively. Coach Prime emphasizes that players must earn trust through detail, effort, competitive toughness, and consistency, with the transfer portal adding competition that forces everyone to work harder.

Colorado Football: The Player’s Blueprint to Starting this Fall | Summer Workouts BeginAdded:
Again, uh, Coach Prime is looking for guys who are looking to separate themselves heading into fall camp, right? So, if you're still here for this, so again, inside this, you're going to find the quarterback, wide receiver, tight end, O line separation standards. You got to separate yourself in fall camp. The defensive line, linebacker, safeties, corners, the nickel, uh, your onfield habits, your film study, your weight room work, and extra conditioning. Uh, this is exactly what you're looking for.
Where am I start? Oh, my bad. I'm g start. Let's start with the quarterback.
All right. So, again, right now, all right, so this is not last. Last week, I talked about rotations, right? Tonight, I want to talk about how quarterbacks are going to separate themselves in fall camp. Last week is more from a coaching perspective. Today, it's with the player. How do I separate myself? All right, I understand. Coach Prime already came out with no nonsense, bro. He He He's naming who he likes as corn. He's just like, "Hey, the cream is gonna rise to the top. The cream of the crop is going to rise to the top. It ain't no holding hands. It ain't no kicking cans.
I need guys that are going to come out and separate themselves. Coach Prime is looking for separators, bro. So, core comments. So, master the playbook and own every install. If you're a quarterback, right? You got to build chemistry with the wide receivers and tight ends. It's imperative that you have chemistry. Who's working outside of practice? Who's gathering the wide receivers together or the tight ends?
Who's throwing with them? It should be Julian Lewis, Isaac Wilson. They should be getting these guys outside of practice. We meeting up. Then we going over to Julian Lewis's house. We watching film on the weekends. Then we studying and I'm, hey, where do you like this ball? How do you like a slant? You like it low? You like it high? How you like your 50-50 ball? Back shoulder, you want me over the top? Front shoulder, you want it? You know what I'm saying?
Like, you got to learn. You got to get to know each other. Especially when you go so heavy in the portal, it's imperative, especially when you lean on the transfer portal, that these guys get to know each other's tendency. You got to refine your footwork, timing, and ball placement. If you're a quarterback and you're going to separate yourself, you got to diagnose pressure and coverage pre- snap. Again, Brennan Marian does a lot pre- snap in this go-go offense. Has a triple option, West Coast uh offense, the air raid. It has it it's it has so much details. It's a lot. Over 300 plays in this playbook, bro. Pre- snap is a lot RPO action. A lot of stuff is pre- snap. So, a lot of these things are looking and there's going to be a lot of pressure on this room and and and and rightfully so because Brennan Marion comes from a coaching tree of great coach quarterback coaches. He understands what a good competition does and he understands what pressure how if you can survive pressure in practice, I know when the stands is filled, when the lights come on, you'll be able to survive pressure as well. So, lead the huddle and communicate with confidence, right? So, what's going to elevate a quarterback and separate them from the players perspective in camp? On the field, you got to win every rep with timing and decisiveness, right? The play needs to be a positive play. It needs to be a completion. It needs to be a chain mover. If not, it needs to be thrown out of bounds. No interceptions. Protect the football and finish every series, right?
Mental prep, bro. You got to be mentally prepared. Like, you got to be in your playbook. You got to be studying.
Football has to be first. So, these are for guys. And listen, if you're watching this live and you're a college football player, you're a quarterback, you got to be in that playbook, bro. You got to be studying. You feel me? Like, you got to be tapped in, locked in. They paid you this type of money. They expect the type of preparedness that we paid you.
Everybody's getting a piece of that chicken nowadays. So, it's time for y'all to produce, right? Uh, study front, study coverages, and blitz looks.
You got to understand the fronts. You got to understand what coverage you're seeing pre- snap and what they can roll to. It's like Pton Manning. It's like it's like all those cerebral guys. I don't want to put it like that, but you know, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, they identify who's the mic linebacker pre- snap. They know who's the mic. You know what I'm saying? You and your center got to your center got to be pointed. That's the mic. The That's the mic. Watch. And then they go back to the hood like, "Bro, he had us red before the snap even happened." You feel me? You got to be cerebral like that even at the college level. And blitz looks ask questions and learn the system fast, right? Uh especially with a new offense like the go offense. You got to learn this in leadership. Set the tone in meetings and in workouts. Again, Isaac Wilson, I ain't going to hold you. Set the tone.
Really a rah rah guy. You know what I'm saying? And sometimes guy teams, so when you seen early in the welloff media clips, reach the people, pregame network clips, you seen the team responding to the raw guy because you need that.
Sometimes you need that. You need a guy who's going to be vocal. You know what I'm saying? Who's going to stand out there and uh and talk? Let me jump in the chat real quick. Brees, bro, what's up with it? Todd Richardson, how you doing? Yeah, we cooking. Say no, Bre.
Yeah, look at the flick of that wrist, bro. We always cooking in here, brother.
For sure. Let's get that 65 receiver from Texas now. Come on. We need him on everything, right? Everybody training, so you need something that's going to keep you over the top outside of the program to be elite. Yeah, Coach Prime is looking for that Travis Hunter, bro.
He's had he's had the elite elite, so it's going to be hard to impress him.
I'm just keeping it all the way real.
when you got a Trav when you have a Trav and and and in all I don't want to say it's I don't want to say it's not fair for other recruits under the coach prime regime but when you have a Travis Hunter and you seen how he studied you seen it was fishing football playbook he lived eat and breathe football so you know when you get a guy to a number two pick and you got a Heisman winner the standard is the standard and it's not going lower so I think that's a good thing for these decrees because you understand bro don't get it twisted don't just look at this last season and think, bro, we breed Heisman trophy winners over here. We breed number two picks over here and though and and Travis Hunter kind of set the standard as a college football player. It's football and that's it. Everything else is univilized. All right. So, earn trust with poise in command. Command the offense and earn the role. You got to separate daily. Right? I'm going to stay on the offense and then I'll go to the defense. Right? So, let's go to the wide receiver room. Right? So, so separation, you got to separate that ride receiver, right? You know what I'm saying? So, the core, you got to master the route tree and release package, bro. You got to master that route tree and your release package. You got to catch everything. Especially in traffic, bro.
There's going to at a power four level, there's going to be contested catches.
You got to make the catch in traffic, bro. That's what coach Jason Phillips is looking for. That's what uh coach Brandon Marian as a former wide receiver is looking for. That's what coach Prime is looking for. Trav head top. Omaran Miller head top. Leonte always open.
We've put guys in the league. Xavier Weaver. We understand what an NFL caliber wide receiver looks like. Some would say, Some would say Colorado was a wide receiver university, especially with that run we had in 2024. Will Shepard league. Leonte league. Jimmy Horn Jr. league. Travis Hunter league.
Omar Miller after this season league.
I'm just saying we done put guys in a leaf. So this room has a very very very high standard to uphold. Understand guys done came through here and put belt but I love what we've done in the portal and and the guys returning. Right. If you're in here if you can hit the thumbs up please if you want to subscribe to the channel. It's your first time. As you can see I'll do live reactions. I'll talk about commitments. I like to be uh well balanced but I also like to talk football and I like to help the players.
I know a lot of our players, if you watch the channel and you're heading into camp, hopefully this can help separate you and earn that starting role because I understand it's not just it's it's going to be a very minute percentage of what makes a starter and a backup and a rotational guy. So hopefully you're doing everything on and off the field to get that, right? So hopefully this helps the players today.
I've been talking about the coaches, what they're looking for, but now I'm gonna try to give some game to the players, right? So you got to study leverage and adjust versus man and zone, right? You got to understand where your leverage is are supposed to be where you're supposed to where that quarterback where Brennan Marin expects you to be on your break in man or where he expects you to break it off in zone.
You feel me? These are little things that'll make somebody take that clipboard off, throw it on the ground, all that. Uh you got to block with urgency and physical intent. Again, salute to Hakee Williams before he went down. You seen him and Kareem Thomas getting the fight. Why? Because that was a backside play. The play wasn't even going there and Williams was blocking like the play was coming his way. That's somebody who wants to get on the field.
That's somebody who understands what the offensive coordinator is looking for, what's needed in this offense. So, those are the little things that'll get you on the field. You might not look at it and at fall camp, they ain't going to tell you no more neither. They expect you to know this. This ain't no more holding hand and kicking cans. You feel me? You got to go out there and do your job.
Bring energy and compete every rep. So, what's going to elevate you as a wide receiver on the field? You got to win off the line and create real separation, bro. You should be so open. You feel me?
It should it should be you got to create separation and and you got to take on those number ones as soon as DeAndre Moore Jr. get back. I want to see him lining up with Boo Carter Press straight up. That's what Coach Prime want to see.
That's what everybody want to see, bro.
We want to see as soon as DeAndre Moore Jr. get out that boot. We want to see him line up with Bu Carter first rep.
Huh.
You heard Coach Prime come out and say, "Hey, this might be my best press." Come here. Line it up. I want to show you.
I'm really like that. And that's and we teammates, but I still got to put the belt on you right now, bro. I got to give you that leather belt one time for the one time because I know if I can beat you, then there's not many other corners who's going to be able to hold me. You feel me? So compete. Uh finish catches and turn routine plays into explosive plays, right? You want to take a five yard gain for 80 yard touchdown. Explosiveness.
Put that foot in the dirt, Cam Perry, and get up out of there. Get further.
You know what I'm saying? We want guys who can take a five yard hitch, five yard slant and take it for 80. Off the fields, you got to study corners, bro.
You got to study coverage tendencies.
And you got to cover, you got to study spacing. You got to be in the film. You got to know your opponent like the back of your hand. When is he like to break?
When is he like to turn his hips? When is he like the bell? Uh how often does he get be deep? Where where is his weaknesses at? You got to study. You got to build conditioning and stay explosive late in drives, especially with this offense and the tempo that we want to run. You got to be in shape. And especially in Boulder in that altitude, we want to create that fifth quarter. We want to create timber. We want to we want to be we want to have them on their heels and we roll that package that 4344 speed package in. And you already know what time it is. Uh what earns trust, right? You got to have detail, effort, and competitive toughness, bro. You got to be you got to have dependability and third on third down in big moments. You got to come to that huddle. You got to look at Ju Guu. You got to let him know, bro, you know what time it is, bro. You better not go anywhere else. This me.
It's my time. And you got to get up like Leonte. Unbuckle your helmet and let them know. Throw the first down up and let them know I'm here. It ain't It ain't no secret. We here today. So, the goal, you got to separate, secure it, and finish the play, right? Let's go to the running backs now because I want to keep it on the running. Yeah, let's keep it on the running backs real quick. All right. Appreciate everybody tapping in.
If you can hit the thumbs up, as you can see, I put together these media kits for you guys. When I come on live, I hopefully you leave here and you learn something. You feel me? I like to do the reactions and I'll do the news, but I feel like there's a lot of channels out there that get the recruiting news and they got all that down. When you come to my channel, I want to talk football. I really want to help the players. I want to help get if you don't really understand football and what college coaches are looking at. If you have a nephew, a son, a brother, whoever, I want you to understand what they're dealing with heading into fall camp. And especially in this era for Colorado, in this season, year four. Oh, bro.
Everything is turned up, bro. And Bucky already came out on Duke the Scoop channel talked about like Coach Prime is approaching this season with a nononsense. Like even in the media, he ain't saving nobody. He ain't here to shield. Your play is going to do the shielding for you. You feel me? So, if you can tap in, hit the thumbs up.
Really would appreciate that.
Let me see who is the wish player we we pick up still available in the portal that would fit the go- go. That's a good that that there's a lot of Jo guys out there, bro, that's still looking for a home for sure. vibes. There's a there's some Jo guys out there that can get further. I know some guys out here, San Francisco City College, Laney. Uh there's a couple guys out here, you know, there's there's still there's some guys out here on the West Coast that can get busy. You know, El Camino College down there in Los Angeles, uh Compton College. There's some guys out here that's still looking for Oh, let's go.
For sure. Willie G, what's the word, fam? Oh, yeah. Appreciate everybody being here. For sure. If you can hit the thumbs up. Also, if you could take some time to just go back and just hype some of my videos, just hit the hype button.
That'll really help us get more people in here. All right, so I'm going to keep it moving. I got a lot to talk about tonight. So, running back. All right, so protect the quarterback and pass protection. That's that that's going to be key. If you want to separate yourself when you're a running back, bro, be able to stay on the field three downs. Be able to pass lock. Don't be a liability and pass protection. That's the easy way to find yourself. You know, it might be a rotation, but they might need somebody who can pass protect. Carry the football with elite ball security. Don't turn that thing over. Don't give on extra possessions. Finish every run through contact. No one person should take you down at running back. That's always been the talk, right? You should be able to finish through contact. Catch the ball naturally out of the backfield.
Christian McAffrey. Versatile running backs. You know, guys who can you can line them up at wide out and they get just as busy. So, be versatile. Be able to run every route on the route you run back. A will route, a stick route, a option route. You know what I'm saying?
A bubble screen, catch the ball on the screen. Those are the type of things that'll allow you to separate in fall camp, bro. Because now you're going to see guys who've been training. They went home, they trained, they're getting there somewhere. They're now it's time.
They want to separate. And that's what coach Prime is looking for. Guys, your position coach is looking for guys who are going to separate themselves. You guys are still brothers. You're still teams, but I need you to separate and be like, "Nah, even your teammates gonna be like, "Nah, he him. I ain't even going to hold you. Let me stop capping. He him, bro." You feel me? Uh, compete on special teams in and every drill. You know, special teams is an easy way for you to earn grace and get yourself on the field. Sign up for the special teams, bro. They let you know that lets your position coaches know he's a team first guy rather than somebody who just if I don't start, bro, I ain't even f to play. I ain't even f to do all that, bro. Like, I'm cool. Don't be that guy.
Don't be that guy, bro. So, if you're watching this, bro, don't get in the doghouse with your coaches because sign up for special teams, bro. Show them that I'll come lay the belt on somebody on kick return, pump return, gun. I ain't tripping. You feel me? But it shows like you're a team for a guy. So, what elevates a running back and celebrates them on uh separates them on the field? Excuse me. Hit the hole fast and finish forward. Fall forward. Extra yardage. That yak, you feel me? Y. Make the defenders miss and create explosive plays. You're going to get an opportunity. What Brennan Marion said, he's going to give you an opportunity.
When you get that opportunity, run with it, bro. And don't look back, bro. Run like mama and them is behind you. Run like auntie them behind you. Run like cousin in behind you. Like run like the ice cream truck. Like or run like he behind you. He trying to tell you to tear it off. Lay it down. Get up out of there. You feel me? Like get further.
You know what I'm saying? Like hit the hole. Uh off the field. You got to study blitz rules and route details. You got to understand they can be able to switch you out in the playbook. The more you're in the playbook, the more you'll separate yourself. All right. Attack recovery, conditioning, and extra work.
Use your time wisely. Use weekends to recover. Use weekends to study. I understand this is a college football experience, but create a good balance, bro. Create a work college and uh football balance. Don't just get to Boulder and see it snowing and it's glowing and want to be with all the bunnies, you feel me? Like get in the playbook, recover on the weekends.
There's time place for all that. You know, fall camp is not the place to be catt. You got to be locked in. Uh what earns trust? Consistency and ball security, right? Don't turn the ball over. Toughness and dependability. Can they depend on you? Protect, produce, and finish. earn with trust, you feel me? So, what's up with it, bro? What's up with it, L? What's good, Brody? What's the word? What's the word? For sure.
Appreciate you tapping in. Happy Memorial Day, bro. For sure. All right.
Now, we getting too far. Oh, so again, this is so so we understand, right? And again, because I get people that I I understand there's some people that like there's some viewers who don't understand what a college football wide receiver room looks like. Bro, look at these names that was in the same room for Alabama, right? Let's go look at Alabama's 2017 room. So, you understand what I'm saying here, bro? Like, listen, I don't be on here trying to just say stuff. I've been in wide receiver rooms.
I understand, bro. I was, bro. I'm trying to tell you, bro. like that you you get in rooms and you think you like that until you in the room with somebody who's really like that. Like in college football they are always looking for talent bro you I'm have a relationship with you but you got to understand when you come in bro there's other guys that are just as good or better than you. So you gota say look at look at 20 look at Alabama's room bro Calvin really Jerry Judy Henry Rugs III Devonte Smith bro all heading in the fall camp all right I ain't gonna lie to you bro I'm going keep it real like bro like there's competition what up brother what's what's the word fam what's good the you're gonna compete bro like listen Calvin really gave the room a proven star in production. Jerry Judy, Henry Rugs, and Devonte Smith brought elite young talent. These are all NFL guys that were on the same room. So again, when you see guys, when you be like, why is he why they already got me? Why are they still recruiting this guy? Why is he coming in the portal? Why is he coming? Because we're going to need everybody and everybody's going to get an opportunity to shine. And every you get I think John Mitchy III came out. So there was Robert Foster, Cam Sims, Derek Keefe, every rep required consistency because the room was loaded. It wasn't just we're not this ain't like again like I like I like I like I say, bro, if you play college football and I understand, oh, I'm your returner. Why did you just get this guy who plays my position? Why are you bringing this guy with a higher rate than me? Because we got to compete. If you like that, then it's going to show. You shouldn't worry about who's there because there's going to be rooms like this now and and in the NFL. So competition prepared multiple future NFL playmakers. So look it, bro.
Look at Alabama's room in 2017. Calvin really set the standard for production.
The room had legitimate topend talent.
Jerry Judy, Henry Rugs, uh Devonte Smith elevated the ceiling. So the younger guys, don't get discouraged, bro. You going to get your chance. All these guys ended up in the league. So if you're a wide receiver, you are in Colorado, you watching right now, if you're in college, just because your room is loaded with talent doesn't mean you can't. They're gonna find you, bro. It don't matter if they be like, "Damn, bro. I got five people ahead of me. If you like that, you just another one on the list. It's dep is going to be like that everywhere. Um the young talent, push the veterans every day. Hey, push them dudes. If you a sophomore, if you a junior, if you a freshman, push them.
They don't care. Don't care about their star ratings. Don't care about their portal rating. Show them you like that, too. They're going to respect that more.
Don't just hand over nothing, bro.
Competition depth made every rep meaningful. NFL level talent forced daily urgency. That's what Britain Marian understands. That's what Coach Prime understands. That's what Jason Phillips understands. That's what these That's what Coach Matthysse understands.
Hey, when you get to the NFL, it don't get easier. Everybody running a 4-3.
Everybody running a 44. Everybody jump a 40inch vertical. Everybody was that dude.
Okay? Everybody. So, you're going to have to separate. And they're preparing you for what it's going to be like in NFL. So, you got to get there and you got to understand why are they bringing this guy in here? like because they're trying to prepare you. If you say you if you say you want to play in the NFL, it don't get no easier. What you think?
What you think it just gets easier when you get to the NFL? No, they're going to be just as good or better you there. So, depth creates pressure. Pressure creates growth. You feel me? You got to grow.
This ain't high school no more. Now, let's look at the LSU room. All right.
Justin Jefferson brought that proven production and reliability. Jamar Chase emerged as a dominant explosive playmaker. Their room was stacked. You had Terrence Marshall Jr. He added size, red zone ability, and vertical stress.
That depth gave LSU multiple answers every matchup. Again, Brennan Mary and Coach Prime, they sat down. Jason Phillips, what they say? They address speed. We got to get faster in the portal, right? They got more explosive.
Joseph Williams, uh, Quinton Gibson, Caleb Matthysse, Cornell Farrakhan, Hakee Williams, Tagert, all these guys like, bro, y'all just brought in all THESE GUYS. WHAT ABOUT US? You're going to compete. We brought in these guys to show you number one, don't get comfortable. Number two, th this is only gonna help you grow. You're going to see guys and be like, I gotta work extra hard. I gotta get that extra rep in the weight room. I got to stay in my playbook a little harder. I got to stay afterwards to get more rep. Don't get comfortable. That's what this that's what the portal tells you. That's what the coaches are telling you. And this is what it's going to be like at the next level. Competition helped build one of the most dangerous pass games in college football. So, let's take a look at that room, right? 2019 LSU. What does it look like? It looks like Colorado's wide receiver room, right? I'm just saying there's a lot of names, a lot of guys with production, a lot of guys you'd be like, damn, there can only be 11 on the field at a time. It's like that all across college football star. Jefferson and Chase became elite feature threats.
Marshall completed a loaded trio. Then you have the younger guys that are coming up in that room as well. The room could win short, intermediate, and vertical. Know your role. You might be my short to intermediate guy. You mean you might be my short yardage, quick hitch, quick mesh, quick quick slant, quick. And then I need my intermediate guys, my guys who can run my digs, who can run my deep outs, my comebacks. Then I need my verticals, my yak guys, my over 20 yards per catch, my guys who get busy. And you better you better roll to safety. You feel me? All right. So you you got to understand each one of you guys are going to have a role in this offense. Just when your opportunity when your name is called, take advantage of the opportunity. Uh defenses were stressed on every snap and especially they be like bro you giving away too much like stop saying too much bro this offense is on Madden bro like what you see me talking about bro you can get that on Madden you can go look at the go offense on Madden bro it's been out for years you feel me it's just either you can stop it or you can't uh let's jump in the chat real quick for sure bro for sure for sure Jerry Judy is a Oh out of Cleveland. Damn.
Cleveland.
Cleveland. They got Jerry Judy up out of there. It was Hey, it was only a matter of time. He's out of there. Uh, I think CU can get the number one linebacker.
Hope so. Me, too, bro. Yeah, because a lot of our linebackers are seniors this season. Uh, Lafa, Lafoul, the water boy, Gideon ESPN, Bobby Boucher, Tyler Martinez.
Uh then you got Gage Goldberg. Bolina is up there. You got Rodney Coloulton, you got Carson Crawford. So yeah. Nah, we can add some linebackers for show. Uh Brody knows next four star coming to see you. Class of 27. What up big fax you?
Say no more. Let's get it. Number one linebacker coming to see you for show.
Two top 10 D lineman in the nation has visits with Colorado next month. Come on home. We need him. We Hey, Coach Prime is like, I'mma I'mma give this to y'all and I'm out. Like, I'mma set y'all up and I'm out. Like, I'm setting y'all up.
Y'all gonna be good. I don't want to hear nothing. I put y'all in good hands.
Hey, I'm telling you, it's all, you know, we gonna be left in some good hands, bro. When he decides to step away and go do his dance, uh Q Gibson, Andy Frell gonna lead them youngsters next year. No, for sure. And and that's again that you could just look at these, bro.
Henry Rugs, Jerry Judy, Calvin Reley, John Mitchie III, Devonte Smith. Again, sometimes football gets emotional with like not understanding number one, this is a business. Number two, the more talent you have, it prepares you for injuries because wide receiver is a physical sport. Guys are going to go down and you need to be able to stay that it's it's going to happen, bro.
Injuries are a part of the game. You dig what I'm saying? I hope they can at least get one of them big. For sure. For sure. Absolutely. All right. Bet, bet. But yeah, appreciate you guys tapping in and keeping the chat lit, too. For sure. I want to bring back the callins for show. Let me know if y'all want to do the callins and stuff and we can we can keep it lit. All right. So, where is that? Was that the running back room? All right, cool. So, let's get to We can do the tight ends real quick. All right, we're gonna be real quick here. I ain't gonna disrespect the tight ends, though. So, if you want to separate yourself as a tight end, right, you got to block with leverage and physical intent, right? You got to be able to block those defensive ends. You can't be having Toby and Nine, Lamont, Lester, uh you can't be having uh Ezo, uh Ti putting belt on. You got to be able to hold your block and fall camp. Be a reliable target in traffic and on third down, right? Uh attack sees and understand route adjustments. Know the offense and every assignment detail. Can they line you out at wide receiver? Can they line you in the slot? Can you you understand the playbook? Create value in every phase of the game, right? Be of value and asset at tight end. We got a lot of 68, 69, Corbin Leisure, uh, Atkins, Duza, uh, Clemens.
Uh, yeah, bro, we pretty stacked at linebacker on the field. You got to win as a linebacker to separate and fall, right? And as a pass catcher, be dependable in the red zone and on critical downs, bro. Like a big body tight end is kryptonites, especially to linebackers who struggle in pass coverage. You can eat, bro. We don't We're going to see a tight end go for a 100 this year. What? Mark my words, bro.
You're going to see a tight end go for a 100 this season for sure. You're going to see a tight end eat in this offense.
We're gonna We're gonna attack that mismatch. You got to study fronts, run fits, and route spacing, right? Train to handle contact and volume. You got to be able to chip. Chip that defensive end and get back on. Then focus on is it zone, is it man? You got to be able to chip. Then identify is it zone or man and win your space. A lot goes into playing tight end is one of the more intricate positions because now you see they they're leaning towards a more hybrid pass catching tight end, but it it calls for you to be physical and in the trenches to train to handle contact and volume. Uh what earns your coach's trust, right? You got to have reliability, toughness, and versatility, right? Consistency in assignments and finish the goal. Do it all, earn snaps, become indispensable. Let's stay with the offensive line. Right. Again, Gunner White, they're putting together, if you went back and looked at my last live stream, I talked about uh Gunnar White and them are putting together the best five on the field, not just the best five that work together, not just the best five offensive linemen. They're putting together the best five that work together. And again, you don't really want to be rotating your offensive line contrary to belief. You want to get a five that you trust. They eat together.
They do everything together and they protect that quarterback. You better not touch their quarterback. You better not lay a finger on that quarterback or they you feel me? You going they gonna have to pick you up off the ground. And that's what coach Brenon Marion is looking for. And that's what Gunner White's looking for. That's what Coach Prime is looking for. Protect that quarterback. You seen Phil Load hard. We used to say my quarterback's getting hit way too much. They take it personal, especially when you get to like the NFL level. Do not touch the quarterback. And that's what we're looking for. Nasty on the long line. All right. So, commuting.
So, how do you separate yourself as a player? What you got to be able to do?
Communicate fronts, calls, and protections, right? Master your stance, your footwork, your hands, and your leverage. You got to finish blocks with strain and physicality. You got to move as one unit. You feel me? And protect the ball. Know your assignment. It needs to look like uh it needs to look like the uh the choir when he's waving a little thing. That's how your offensive line needs to be. When you see them pulling, when you see inside zone, when you see duo, when you see them trapping, when you see them getting to the next level, when you see counters, you need to see them being able, it needs to look, it needs to look good. Uh move uh build strength, conditioning, and consistency. We understand, especially in this go-go offense, can you can you handle the tempo in this fifth quarter?
Don't be huffing and puffing. That's the defensive line needs to be helping the puppet. We need to be We just getting started, BABY. YOU IN FOR A LONG ONE TONIGHT. YOU NEED TO BE TALKING CRAZY to them like, "Oh, you better catch this rodeo. Pause." Whatever they be saying on the offensive line. You need to be the one inside the defensive line head because we're just running this tempo and we're running. We're coming again.
Pause. That was crazy. My bad, y'all.
That was wicked. But again, we're just we're just consistently we're just we're the play we're trying to create a fifth quarter, right? What's going to elevate you at O line? On the field, win the first step and control your man, bro. It should be like you playing station. Protect the quarterback and create movement. Off the field, you got to study your protections, bro.
Study stunts. Understand run fits.
Attack the weight room and the recovery process, right? Get with a dietitian. If you need to lose some weight, lose some weight. If you try to put on a few, put on a few. You feel me? Uh, what earns trust? Toughness, communication, and consistency. You got to be tough. You got to communicate. They're looking for the best. They're looking for the top five communicators, the guys who are consistent with each other and the toughest group. Because when it starts raining, when it starts snowing, when we ain't when we ain't throwing it 50, 60 yards down the field, when we handing it off, dive, when we handing it off, power, when we handing it off, Lee, we need y'all to move the P. Y'all going to be y'all going to be our win or loss in 2026. whether when we get to them when we get to them snow windy months whether we can move the front that's going to be the difference makers. Appreciate everybody tapping in if you can hit the thumbs up for sure. If you haven't subscribed subscribe as you can see we do live reactions uh like when reach the people and well off come back we definitely going to be doing those. But I like to talk football, bro. And I like to help players too, especially if they're competing right now, understand what goes into fall camp and how you can separate yourself because they like the way Coach Priv is approaching this season is just like, "Bro, we've paid you. I put my eyes on you in the portal.
Now I gave you the opportunity. Now I'm looking for the dogs. I'm looking for I'm looking for the guys who's going to do it again." Right? So what what's going to separate you? You got to have toughness, communication, and consistency. technique that holds
