This video demonstrates how to detect AI-generated music by analyzing waveforms and pitch shifts, revealing that Masoma Daniels was miming along to AI-generated blues music that she had pitch-shifted up three semitones and played through a speaker to make it sound more natural, despite having genuine guitar skills as shown in her hour-long unedited video.

This viral guitarist is about to get exposedAdded:
Yep. It's one of those crazy crazy videos that you're going to be very glad you clicked on. Make sure you watch right to the very end of this one cuz there's some weird twists and turns here. So, this is Masoma Daniels. Sorry about the pronunciation. Who goes by a few names across social media and she has been taking the world of music by storm with her videos appealing to millions of people all over the planet.
And in the last couple of months, she has really taken off, earning her the esteemed nickname BB Queen. But reaction has been very mixed with some people being very suspicious of her content.
Some think she's miming. Some think the music is fake. And some think she doesn't exist at all and is in fact AI.
Which reminds me, this is your last chance to get a free bollocks to AI music badge with any order at dannysapco.com.
Just in case you weren't sure where I stand on the matter. But for as many negative comments as she's got, just as many people have rushed to her defense, saying it's real, they've seen her play, and some saying the accusations are rooted in racism. But the truth isn't as simple as any one of those things. And there's only one dashingly handsome man that can get to the bottom of this one.
This sounds like a job for Dipstick Man.
And don't forget his trusty sidekick, Stick Tickler.
Oh de, he's always cramping me style.
So, first let's listen to a few examples of her most popular clips.
Now, I will be the first to admit that I was confused by the comments of people saying she wasn't real. and I almost convinced myself that maybe AI video had got so good that I couldn't tell it apart anymore. Nowadays, it is depressingly easy for artificial intelligence to mimic other people's videos. But especially with guitarists, it's usually easy to spot if you look closely. And in this case, people were looking at her rather strange guitar, the white spot on the body, and the Martin logo when Martin of course don't make electric guitars. But no, that's just her guitar. It might be a bit odd, but it is real. It must just be a logo that's been stuck onto the headstock.
And in fact, there's no AI video in any of her clips, and she's definitely a real person. But this is what a lot of people have picked up on. Almost anyone should be able to tell that she's not really playing.
Not only is she miming, she's really badly miming She currently has one song on Spotify and has performed it in various videos, but she's always playing it in different places.
Now, everyone has different opinions on mimming. I personally think it's okay to pre-record things and mime along in certain situations. My recent song about Fender being [ __ ] was pre-recorded and then videoed simply because it looks better than me standing there with headphones on reading lyrics off me phone. But there's something more than simply bad miming in Misoma's case. The reason millions of people are so attracted by her videos is that they almost sound too good to be true. And that's because they are. Guitarist Luca Pisanu proved that even with a heavy chain of effects, he couldn't quite get the insane level of sustain. Guys, I am [ __ ] baffled. The other day I saw this video.
So, when I tried to play it, I encountered some difficulties because obviously, you know, it sounds like there's a very long sustain on the VA.
And I tried. I'm like, hold on a [ __ ] second. Like, this is not possible.
So, could it be AI music? Weirdly, looking on her Spotify, her song has been associated with a load of other AI artists. There must be some connection there. And so, I listen to some AI Blues guitar, and you can tell it's just like her videos.
But how on earth could I prove it? Look how much of this crap there is. Being able to find the exact clip she used would be like finding a needle in a hay stack. There'd be more chance of finding a Davy504 video without a stupid bloody advert in it. Real basist all cornetto.
Just one cornetto.
Give it to David Deal.

Deepstick. Well, I have spent hours and hours the last couple of days going through tons of AI blues music to try to find an exact phrase to prove that Misoma has been lying. And my god, if slow blues isn't excruciating enough, imagine hours and hours of artificial slow blues when you're the fire inside my veins.
But as impossible as my task may have seemed, sometimes I believe I have a shining light beaming down upon me.
There must be a force out there that wants me to continue taking down these bastards and be a pillar of truth and justice in our music community. Maybe God himself is a northern [ __ ] frustrated guitarist with a body like a dropped lasagna.
Anyway, I [ __ ] found one.
This is Masoma.
And this is an AI blues compilation.
Not entirely the same, I hear you say, but she's being very clever. Not only has she played the music back through a speaker to make it seem more natural, she's also pitch shifted it up three semmit tones. Bastard. Now have a listen after I've also pitch shifted it.
And just look at the waveforms next to each other.
So, there is conclusive proof. She's been getting rich and famous mimming along to AI music. Now, here's where it gets interesting. Wait till you see the list of people that she's fooled. And please don't think I'm shaming them because I was one of them as well. These are real likes, comments, and follows from Dovidas, Gorilla's basis, Sher Danish Pete from Anderton's Guitar Pro, Tay Grace, Rob Chapman, and would you believe it, Adam Neely, one of the finest musical minds in the world and an ally in the fight against AI music.
Unbelievable.
And it just goes to show you that anyone can be fooled by this stuff, man.
But get ready for the weirdest part of all if you go on to her YouTube channel where there's even more clips of her badly mimming.
There's also an hour-ong video where she's not miming and she's actually playing guitar and talking to the camera.
So, she can actually play and she sounds bloody great. So, I'd like to encourage you to do exactly what I'm going to do.
But remember, please don't be threatening or offensive. Go and encourage Misoma to stop doing all this AI miming crap and just play her instrument. And Masoma, if you are watching this, please at this moment in time, take the chance to change your ways. Cuz at this point, you're firmly in the plunker zone.
If anyone can translate plunker to Nigerian Yoruba for me, that'd be appreciated. But in the meantime, it's another famous victory for Dipstick Man and Stick Tickler.
