This video presents Jesus' teaching on authentic righteousness versus religious hypocrisy, emphasizing that true spiritual practice should be done in secret rather than for public recognition. The content covers Matthew 6-7 and 23, where Jesus instructs believers to give, pray, and fast privately without seeking human approval, warns against judging others while ignoring one's own faults, and criticizes religious leaders who perform good deeds for show while neglecting justice, mercy, and faithfulness. The core message is that genuine faith requires humility, self-reflection, and prioritizing God's kingdom over external validation.

Dismantle Hypocrisy | Bible Reading
Added:[music] >> Matthew chapter 6.
Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them.
If you do, you will have no reward from your Father [music] in heaven.
So, when you give to the needy, do not announce it with [music] trumpets as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets to be honored by others.
Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know [music] what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, >> [music] >> for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others.
Truly, I tell you, [music] they have received their reward in full.
But when you pray, go into [music] your room, close the door, and pray to your Father, [music] who is unseen.
Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
And when you pray, [music] do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think [music] they will be heard because of their many words.
Do not be like them, for your Father knows [music] what you need before you ask him.
This, then, is how you should pray.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed [music] be your name.
Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, [music] as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
>> [music] >> For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly [music] father will also forgive you.
But if you do not forgive others their sins, your father will not forgive your sins.
When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do.
For they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting.
Truly, I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to others that you're fasting, but only to your father, who is unseen.
And your father, who [music] sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
Do not store up for yourselves [music] treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.
[music] But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths [music] and vermin do not destroy, where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there your [music] heart will be also.
The eye is the lamp of the body.
If your eyes are [music] healthy, your whole body will be full of light.
But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness.
If then >> [music] >> the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness?
No one can serve two masters. [music] Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted [music] to the one and despise the other.
You cannot serve both God and money.
Therefore, I tell you, "Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear.
Is not life [music] more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air.
They do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?
Can anyone of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
And why do you worry [music] about clothes?
See how the flowers of the field grow.
They do not labor or spin, yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
And if that is how God clothes the grass [music] of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, you little faith?
So, do not worry [music] saying, "What shall we eat or what shall we drink or what shall we wear?"
For the pagans [music] run after all these things, and your heavenly father knows that you need them.
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, [music] and all these things will be given to you as well.
Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.
Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Matthew chapter 7.
Do not judge, or you too will be judged.
For in the same way as you judge others, you will be judged. And with the measure you [music] use, it will be measured to you.
Why do you look at the speck of sawdust [music] in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye.
How can you say to [music] your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?
You hypocrite. First, take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye.
Matthew chapter 23. [music] Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his [music] disciples, "The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat.
So, you must be careful to do everything they tell [music] you, but do not do what they do.
For they do not practice what they preach. They tie [music] up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
Everything they do is done for people to see.
They make their [music] phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long. Oh, they love the place of honor at banquets [music] and the most important seats in the synagogue. They love to be greeted with respect [music] in the marketplaces and to be called rabbi by others.
But you are not to be called rabbi.
For you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call [music] anyone on earth father, for you have one father, and he is in heaven.
>> [clears throat] >> Nor are you to be called instructors, [music] for you have one instructor, the Messiah.
The greatest among you will be your servant.
For those who exalt [music] themselves will be humbled, and those who humble [music] themselves will be exalted.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, [music] you hypocrites.
You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people's faces.
You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites.
You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have [music] succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
Woe to you, blind guides.
You say, "If anyone swears [music] by the temple, it means nothing."
But anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath. No, you blind fools.
>> [music] >> Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?
You also say, "If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing." [music] But anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.
No, you blind men.
Which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?
Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it.
And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells [music] in it.
And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits [music] on it.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and [music] Pharisees, you hypocrites.
You give a tenth of your spices, mint, dill, and cumin.
But you have neglected the more important matters of the law, justice, mercy, and faithfulness.
You should have practiced the latter without neglecting the former.
>> [music] >> You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you [music] hypocrites!
You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.
Blind Pharisee!
First clean the inside [music] of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You are like whitewashed tombs, [music] which look beautiful on the outside, but on the inside are full of the bones of the [music] dead and everything unclean.
In the same way, on the outside you appear to be people as righteous, but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!
You build tombs [music] for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous, and you say, "If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the [music] blood of the prophets."
So, you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants [music] of those who murdered the prophets.
Go ahead then, and complete what your ancestors started. [music] You snakes!
You brood of vipers!
How will you escape being condemned to hell?
Therefore, I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers.
Some of them you will kill and crucify.
Others you will flog in your synagogues [music] and pursue from town to town.
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth from the blood [music] of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah the son of Berechiah, whom you murdered between the temple and [music] the altar.
Truly, I tell you, all this will come upon this generation.
Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who killed the prophets and stoned those sent to you.
How often I have longed to gather your [music] children together as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.
Look, your house is left to you desolate.
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, "Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
