Men who defend the patriarchy typically exhibit three psychological responses to criticism: defensive men take criticism personally and distance themselves from other men to protect their identity; avoidant men shut down conversations and project men's issues onto women to evade addressing the problem; and shame-based men feel uncomfortable when hearing about men's negative actions because it reflects on their own behavior or relationships with men they know.

Men Who Defend The Patriarchy追加:
Defensive men, they take criticism about men very personally. So, they're going to defend it because they take it personal. They don't want to actually deal with whatever the issue is. So, they try to distance themselves from the other guys. Like, I'm not like other men. They don't even care what's true.
They only care about protecting their identity. That's it. That's the kind of the psychology behind the defensive men.
So, then you got the men who try to avoid the issues. And they will do this.
If you're if you're ever having a conversation with them, the first thing they're going to do is try to shut down the conversation. These are the main men who try to project men's issues onto women. So, they will be like, "Well, women do it, too." But women are just as bad. These are the men who are just trying to avoid the issue. So, then number three, you have the men who feel uncomfortable mostly because of shame.
It hits close to home whenever they hear women talking about some some that men did or said or whatever. And it hit close to it hits close to home because they themselves have either done the same thing or something similar and or they know men who have personally done it. So that's why they will they feel uncomfortable.
