HiRam vs Single Plane

[00:00:00]Hey guys, Richard Holdener here. Let's take a look at a comparison between two intake manifolds. In this case, we have a Holley Hi-Ram and we're comparing it to a Holley single plane. Two very common, two very popular intake manifolds. I did a big shootout on intake manifolds. In this case, cathedral port. Now, I've also had a video up on rec port stuff. But on the cathedral port side, I built a 6-liter, healthy 6-liter, good airflow research heads. It had flat top pistons, forged internals, a big comp camshaft in it.

[00:00:28]And then we compared all of the intake manifolds that I could get my hands on and compare them directly to the factory LS1 intake manifold. Now, one thing I couldn't do in the video is I couldn't compare a bunch of the different manifolds to each other. So, go take a look at that video. Let me know if there are intake manifolds you want to see compared to another manifold in the video.

[00:00:50]And in this video, you can see the Holley Hi-Ram much more powerful than the single plane intake. And this is pretty typical, at least on the cathedral port stuff. It'd be interesting for me to do a comparison also with these same two manifolds on the rec port applications.
