[00:00:22]Let me start by commending the visionary leadership of China for its steadfast commitment to strengthening multilateralism and revitalizing international cooperation at a moment of profound global uncertainty.

[00:00:40]We are living in a time when the international community is confronted with multiple and interconnected crisis, protected conflicts, widening inequalities, rising debt stress and distress, climate emergencies, disruptions to global supply chains, food and energy insecurity, and the governance challenges posed by emerging technologies and testing the resilience of the multilateral system.

[00:01:14]Excellencies, at the same time, faith in collective action is eroding with unilateralism and the selective application of international law undermining global stability.

[00:01:29]In this uncertain environment, the world urgently needs renewed solidarity and a more effective system of global governance anchored in the purposes and the principles of the United Nations Charter.

[00:01:46]For Pakistan, multilateralism is not an abstract aspiration, but a principled commitment rooted in cooperation and collective responsibility.

[00:01:59]The founding father of Pakistan Qaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah declared that Pakistan will never be found lacking in upholding the principles of the United Nations Charter. Today the commitment remains unwavering.
