This New Mall Simulator Has Real Potential.... | Mall Together

[00:00:00]Welcome to a new game on the channel for Maul Together. This demo just came out and this is going to be a mall tycoon type simulator game. These guys have made quite a few games in the past you probably have played, but primarily it's going to be a game where you're managing a mall. Very similar to what we had with Mall Simulator. So, I'm pretty excited for this because I've been wanting to play a new game like this for quite a while. And from what I've seen, it looks very promising. So, first thing we need to do is name our mall, which I've of course got the perfect mall name right away. Boom. There it is. Not Mall of America. That is all good with me. If we come up with a better name for the actual game when it releases, we will.

[00:00:33]So, first thing we need to do is open a store. So, we're going to come over here to this one and open this one. So, we can order a tobacco shop, cosmetic store, supermarket, or bakery. Let's do a tobacco shop. Why not try something a little bit different? So, can we name the tobacco shop? All right, perfect.

[00:00:50]Not marboral. We're doing it. Okay, so we need to buy a cash register. So, we need to go to the tablet. We got to go to store. We got to buy equipment. We got to buy this. I like this little thing. It's pretty nice. Uh, so cash register. Where did that show up? Okay, so cash register is right here. Let's get this on out. Uh, I kind of want to put the cash register. See? Rotate. So we got to rotate it like this. Put the cash register.

[00:03:17]There we go. What up? Can we like customize the store and stuff because it's a little little bleak in here. So, this game is multiplayer apparently as well. So, very similar to some other games out there that are of this genre.

[00:03:28]So, it could be a lot of fun with friends and whatnot. And I may consider if I can find people to play with to do that because it' be kind of fun to have a multiplayer game to play on the channel as opposed to just all single.

[00:03:37]But personally, I'm excited to freaking outfit this mall. It's going to be very interesting. You know how I love these types of management type simulator games. Yeah, it's just been a while since we've had like a really good mall simulator type game come up in a while.

[00:03:47]I mean, like, you know, we had the original mall simulator, which was pretty cool, but then like that kind of fell off and the developer stopped supporting it. So, having a new one out that's going to be um like this is pretty interesting. We're going to take a look around the mall in just a minute just to kind of see what's going on because I'm curious to see what we have to uh look forward to. So, we can hire a cashier right away. Okay, that's great.

[00:04:07]Sensitivity is wild. I turn the sensitivity as low as I freaking can and is still freaking intense. All right, so we got to hire somebody. So, let's go to workers hire. So, buy a drink vending machine. First off, I want to take a look around. So, we got a post office.

All right, so let's go ahead and buy a vending machine because that's what it wants us to do next. Let's exit out of here. Go to machines, buy ourselves a vending machine, and then we're going to Where do we So, we got this. Okay, so we need to go place this. Where we going to put this? Uh, can we just Is this where the vending machines can go? Like in here? It's actually a pretty good idea.

[00:05:08]So, if we put the vending machines in here, we can restock them pretty easily because it seems like the area where you restock the vending machines. So, we're going to put that there. So, we need some stock.

Like I mentioned, we just got the demo, so I imagine they're going to be gathering all the feedback from everybody and whatnot. Um, which I will try to give as much feedback as I can in this video because I don't know.

[00:09:32]Obviously, there's really not that much we can do in the demo and whatnot. Okay, so we got this set up. Let's get our prices set up for each of these items.

Probably jump in the gun a little bit here. We're going to follow the tutorial in just a minute because I don't want to get too far ahead. So, there are expansions as well to each of the stores and the warehouses. So, that is cool. So, they can expand. I don't know really. I guess maybe in these directions and whatnot.

[00:10:07]So, the stores can expand, which is cool. We can also design the stores. So, that's great. There's a generic price tag menu so you can kind of see what's going on for recommended retail. You can see inventory. Um, and then there's obviously the contracts and whatnot. I imagine maybe we can I'm not sure how far we can go with this, but we can level up quite a bit. All right, so restrooms. So, they want us to buy some TP and some other stuff. So, restroom stuff's over here apparently. So, we need to maintain our restrooms, which is not too bad. So, we can go ahead and come in here.

[00:10:42]Okay, so we can stock the toilets up like that. Okay, so I think we should just go ahead and fill all this up.

[00:10:49]Going to buy So one case per on that and then basically one case per stall, one case. Okay, so we're going to buy.

[00:10:59]So having the bathrooms well stocked increases our XP. So that's good to know. So we got two different restrooms to sort here, the women's and men. So we're going to knock that out real quick. All right. So, all the bathrooms are officially full with toilet paper and soap. So, let's go over here. And now we need to end the day.

[00:11:18]So, we ended up making no money, but we got some levels. Nice. So, next day, let's see. So, we need to also check our vending machines cuz those are going to be low. So, we have some It pretty much is letting us do the sandbox now. We don't even need to worry about keeping up with stuff. So, we did sell some sodas. Let's fill this back up real quick.

[00:11:38]Can these move? No. It'd be nice to be able to move the trash cans or have some closer to some things if you want or be able to adjust them. That's all good.

[00:11:45]So, that's all full there. So, let's see here. So, let's go to our stores real quick. So, we can hire restockers for both of our stores now. So, we're going to do that. Um, can we only open two stores? That's the question.

So, my question is, so let me let me see real quick. So, if I were to buy more product for the outside here, right? So, let's just see if as he's working it, if he brings it inside for us. So, we're going to leave that outside and kind of go from there. So, now let's go over to the other side, which is our tobacco shop. We're going to sign another contract for the other cigarettes. We're going to get two of each of those. We're going to get some more of those.

[00:15:24]Uh, we can. And so we can hire workers that requires level five, but we can hire workers for the vending machines as well. There are massage chairs. There's a electrical unicycle we can use to get around the mall. There's also training for workers. That's cool. Um, we have the bank. We can take loans. We got decorations. We got music players and whatnot. There's a wallpaper for your for your tablet. I love that. That's so cool. We're going to do the old guard.

Is there anything else I can unlock for the vending machine? So far, not. Wonder if the max level is 27 in this or what? I'm very curious. There's also storage racks for the for the vending machine. So, we're going to get that over here. And we're going to put that. We obviously will not put the leave the vending machines here here when we actually play the game, but I mean for now, I'm just going to leave it right here just because makes the most sense. Can we put stuff on the very top? That's the question. We cannot. So, it's only four tiers of product. All right. So, he will stock up. So, if there's stuff if there's stuff remaining outside, they kind of have a weird thing where they will prioritize outside first. And if it's not empty, they or they don't have a spot back here to work, they will um just drop it on the floor. So, that's kind of annoying, but I mean, at the same time, it's not a big deal. So, when you get shipments and whatnot, it's not like you can just drop these off unless you have the adequate space, which is going to require some pretty precise ordering. Um maybe that's something they can work out to where that way they prioritize the racks first and then what they do is start bringing stuff in if need be. So maybe you can do the order for the store. They bring it in, fill the spots and then then whatever's left will stay outside the store like this and then they just prioritize working this and when that's done they can drag from there here if that makes sense.

[00:18:03]Because right now what they're doing is grabbing out there or just grabbing whatever the closest box is or something. I don't know. I mean, it's kind of confusing, but um they're just dropping boxes here on the floor, which is kind of annoying. Okay, so we do have stalker options here for when they actually pick up boxes and work them.

[00:18:18]So, they can put them in the tag spot that you have already made, which is nice. Or they can actually just make a new spot if need be. I do love how all the boxes are different colors for the different departments and stuff like that. I think that's a really nice nice detail. uh makes it much easier for organization because I know that as we get more stores into the freaking game is going to be very confusing having all these stores everywhere with the same color boxes. So, that's nice to know. Um let's go ahead and order some more vending product just to get that in here. Do we have a new license? So, we're not in level four yet. We're about to be. And then let's get How do I get the vending market?

Doesn't seem like employees are too expensive, which is nice because I know some of these games could be quite expensive to get employees. Um, so I'm glad to see that there is not too much of a hefty burden of getting him in because running this many stores is definitely quite burdensome. I think I'm going to make another spot for everything here just to make it easier for our our boy.

[00:20:07]She So, she goes from one store to another, which is nice. So, that means that like, okay, they'll buy some stuff at one store, then go to another store.

[00:20:14]Very similar to a mall. I was kind of hoping it would work that way and they're not coming here for one specific store. So, it's kind of kind of nice for people to be wandering around. My question is, how many people can be in the store in the mall at once? Like, is it going to be a large amount of people or is it going to be like a slow trickle? I'll be very, very curious when the game actually comes out. Is there So, we can't install another department, right? Um, that I'm aware of. Or another store.

[00:20:36]That would be really cool if we could.

[00:20:38]Um, or do we need to be a specific level to install another store? That's a question that I have. So, how did the restroom look? Let's go see how the restroom actually got uh used over here. here. And if we need to actually put anything new in here.

[00:20:52]So, it doesn't seem like anybody used the restroom or they did. Yeah, they did. They used the restroom. So, yeah, they do take one toilet paper thing for each time they use the restroom. All right. So, we're going to go and go to the next day. So, we ended up making no money again, but we got some good XP, but we were expanding quite a bit yesterday. So, all right. Let's go and do another day or so here. I want to I want to get to level five and get the restocker employee because I want to see what that's all about. I think we're pretty much well stocked for the most part. Maybe get some blue donuts, I guess. Is there like a That'd be cool if there was like a scan gun for us to be able to use, but I guess um you know, we have a tablet here for each store, so we can see the inventory level. So, if we go here to the inventory page, so we can see add to cart because we're out of blue donuts. We got low stock on the pretzel buns. We also got low stock on the purple doughut.

[00:21:41]So, let's go ahead and get all those guys in and the worker will go work them. And then tobacco store. Let's see what we're low on here. here. So, inventory. So, we got pretty good stock on inventory for the tobacco store. So, we're going to go ahead and leave that one alone. We do have an inventory page as well for the vending machine. So, we can come here in stock and yeah, so I want to get this vending machine employee hired. I want to see how he works and we'll go from there. Online order. Let's go see what's going on.

Um, it would give us something to do, which would be cool. Um, so I'm not against us having to do it because once we get es especially if we can outfit employees for these stores early like this, it would be nice to um have something to do, but um also it'd be nice to have the option if I wanted to to hire somebody for it as well. So we out of cookies. So let's check our inventory tab here. Let's go to inventory for the bakery. So we are out of all these things. Let's get three of each just because we seem to be selling a lot.

[00:23:37]And then let's check our tobacco store as well for inventory. So inventory is looking good for the tobacco store. So I'm not worried about that one. I'm really digging this. I can't wait to work with the big box stores here.

[00:23:47]That's going to be very, very interesting to be able to get those big box stores set up. Um, you know, because those are definitely going to be a lot of extra labor. So I'm wondering what the staff is going to look like for that and all the various things like that.

[00:24:00]There's a lot of things to explore in this game, which is going to be quite quite cool. All right, so we made it to the end of the day. We got a few customers kind of hanging around here.

[00:24:06]We're going to let them finish up what they don't want. It's very unusual how like all the staff kind of looks the same. Hopefully when the game comes out, they give the staff some variety cuz it's kind of odd having all like, you know, the same type of staff for everything because I'd like to see some variety there. That'd be nice. It'd be cool if we could hire our own staff, meaning having options and whatnot. It seems like they're kind of pretty set right now, which is fine. Not not going to have a problem with that. That's kind of how it is. But it'd be nice to like have like some options in terms of, you know, being able to pick people with different stats and stuff. But it seems like we can level them up and everything, which is quite good. Um, so I'm looking forward to seeing what the details of that is going to be whenever we get to it because being able to level staff is something that I'm a very very big fan of in these types of games and whatnot. Not really big fan of this display. I like these circular displays actually quite a bit better. This one is just freaking huge. I wonder like we get some of the larger items that look better here. And this is pretty interesting. Um, be curious to see what the other equipment items going to be for the various stores and whatnot. U, but yeah, there's a lot of stores, man.

[00:25:01]We got toy store, we got bookstore, flores, game store. There's going to be a lot of stores we can add in here.

[00:25:07]Household appliances. They're going to have big and tech store. Very, very cool. Okay, so we can actually look around at some of this other stuff. So, let's go ahead and get a vending machine employee in here. We got him in here.

[00:25:17]So, what does he look like and do? Same employee, of course. And he's over here stocking the hell out of those vending machines. That's very good. That's actually much better. And do we have any other contracts with the vending machine? I don't think so. Nothing yet.

[00:25:28]But now, since we got the employee, we can go ahead and buy another vending machine, which we're going to put over here at the front of the store like this.

[00:25:42]Vending machines cannot go outside. They must stay in the mall. Okay, that's good to know. So, can we move vending machines with product? That's the That's the key thing cuz I want to load this up over here and then move it to somewhere else in the mall. Okay, so we can so we can move all the vending stuff with the product, which is fantastic. Love that little detail. So, we're going to put that one there. And then we're also going to go ahead and get this vending machine out of here and move it somewhere else because that's one thing.

[00:26:06]It would be nice if, you know, the the restockers could have carts to be able to stock this stuff because again, I can imagine if I set these all over the place that the guy is going to have a hard time getting to them, which is what I want to look at to see how well he can keep up with stock on the vending machines. So, we're going to let him get sorted out. We're going to throw our empty boxes away here. Okay, so he does not restock it unless it's in this zone.

[00:26:30]Very interesting. So, basically, vending machines have to live in here in order for him to restock it. Um, otherwise he won't restock it because this vending machine up here is clearly out of product.

[00:26:45]We need to move this over anyway because it's blocking the open sign. Um, let's open the mall and see if that has any impact on it. No, it does not. So, we basically have to have unless we want to restock it ourselves. The vending machines need to live in here because let's put this in here and see if he works it just to finalize this test.

[00:28:40]We're going to put one right here. We need some more stuff in the bakery shop anyway. So, we need to get this bread, right? Yeah. So, this is just regular bread. Okay. We're going to do bread on two racks because why not? Um All right.

[00:28:58]So, we need to actually fulfill that order. Still, I've not done that. So, let's get this astray 13. That's an odd number. I kind of I kind of wish it was either cases or multiple cases of each.

[00:29:08]That would be nice. But, I mean, I understand like, you know, people may want a certain amount, but it just seems a bit annoying for that reason. Um, so, okay. Is this guy still glitched out on this vending machine?

[00:29:17]It seems like nobody's really buying this vending machine. M doing so. No, some people are buying it and I don't know if he's talking or not. Anyway, we're just going to leave that one alone for now. So, he will wander over here.

[00:29:26]So, yeah, that is kind of annoying. He's very hopefully like we can increase them to be able to carry more products cuz right now him having to wander all over the mall to do vending machines is not very efficient. All right, man. I'm honestly there's not really too much more to do. I just wanted to take a look at this game. So, so far I'm liking it.

[00:29:42]There's a few little things that I would like to see changed personally and I'll kind of go over that uh here at the end of the video just to be, you know, more specific again like I mentioned. So, it seems like there's some sort of glitch when you bring in multiple vending machines, unless this guy's finally filled this. So, yeah, he doesn't seem to play well with multiple vending machines. Um, hopefully when they do implement the full game, there will be some ways to get these restockers, especially the vending machine restockers, to be able to get to things with more product because it's so annoying if he's carrying one box at a time all the way across the mall. if we place vending machines like at the top floor or whatever, if he's carrying one box at a time, even if we have like 30 people running vending machines, it's going to be annoying. So, hopefully they come up with a or have a solution for that in when the full game comes out.

[00:30:26]Um, outside of that, I really don't have too many too many more complaints. I mean, just, you know, I'll be curious to see when things are actually rolling and what the game is fully like. It seems like we have a lot of things we can do.

[00:30:36]Um, and I'm very very curious to see what the other stores are going to be.
