And as I was saying earlier on, and if you're looking for weather, I promise we'll get to the tropics and we'll you know what? Let's look at radar real quick and then I will get get back into my storytelling. But you all know I love my stories. Not like my grandma used to say who loves her stories which were General Hospital. So that's what she caught him. Dennis, don't you mess up my stories. every woman out there or every man I suppose there are both men and women who watch their stories uh soap operas every single person who is watching their soap opera or as my grandma used to call them their stories whenever there's a tornado warning on and I would cut into their said stories and preempt them with because because you know the only reason that I cut into programming during a tornado warning is because I want to hear myself talk. That's the only reason because that's what and and the complaints are not on the internet.

[00:09:18]Well, uh, ma'am or sir, we do have a tornado on the ground and, um, Dennis is just trying to explain. No, he's not. He just wants to hear himself talk.

[00:09:33]So, that's normally how the way it goes.

[00:09:38]All right. So, um, so anyway, I digress. Jason Adams was filling in for me yesterday, um, because I was at my son. I don't know how I got on that tangent, but it's so fun to go on those tangents where I'm not looking at the clock sometimes. Anyway, um, someone wants to ask a weather question.

[00:10:01]Peter wants to know, is it going to rain all day Saturday? No, Peter. No. Okay, first of all, Peter, tell me where it is you're asking about, and I will be happy to elaborate, but no, it will not rain on that. Matter of fact, there's not going to be a ton of rain. Not going to be a ton of rain. All right. So, exactly, Michael. That was my point.

[00:10:32]Could I talk to that weatherman on TV right now? Well, actually, ma'am, he's on TV right now, so we can't talk. Well, will you tell him to get off the TV and talking about the tornado? I can read it on the bottom of my screen. I don't need him telling me there's a tornado. Well, ma'am, we're we're trying to keep people safe because there's a tornado. No, he just wants to hear himself talk and interrupt my story. So, I want to see my story. So, can you connect me to him so I can tell him that he I don't want him on TV anymore. Um, sorry, ma'am. He's on TV right now, but I will relay the message. Okay. Thank you.

[00:11:15]So, so that is how the phone calls work when um when we have a tornado warning and it happened three or four days ago. Now, that led to a conversation as well and this is a conversation that I had with my boss and it's it's a really I think it's a personally I'm biased but I think it's an interesting conversation. I think I talked about this earlier in the week. So, we had a tornado warning, right? And it was issued at 5:37.

[00:11:53]And the minute that tornado warning was issued, that tornado is gone. You could see it on radar. Gone. All right. So, what does the weather person do when the tornado warning is gone?

[00:12:12]Do I continue to talk about said tornado warning that the tornado does not exist, but the warning does? And here's the dilemma, and I agree with my boss on this. And you you guys know me, as does my boss know me. If I don't agree with what she had to say, I would say something about it. But I I do agree with her about this. And this is and here's my point. So I talked about this said tornado that did not exist. It was gone for about 9 or 10 minutes. The warning was issued at 5:37 or 5:38. It lasted until six o'clock. So it was 22 minutes, right? So during those 22 minutes, after about eight of eight minutes of saying, "Well, guys, here's a look at uh the tornado warning, but there's really no tornado there." After me saying that for eight minutes, I'm like, "You know what? I've had enough.

[00:13:07]There's no tornado warning there. Let's go back to the news because there's no tornado. But there was still a warning.

[00:13:16]Now, I would argue, and I'm not going to call out the weather service because you've heard me say this a million and one times. I personally believe the National Weather Service and Ruskin are the best Mets I've ever worked with. Uh, and I've been doing this a long time and I think they're exceptional. You could argue that they may have cancelled that warning earlier, maybe a quarter of six, being like, "All right, there ain't no tornado out there anymore. Let's go and cancel the warning." They chose not to.

[00:13:43]That's their call. That's their call.

[00:13:45]They can do what they want to. And but they didn't. All right. So, for those 22 minutes, that tornado warning existed without a tornado. So, at the end of the day, this was what my boss was telling me, and I I agree with her. That whole time you guys are getting notifications on your phone, they're showing up. Beep beep beep, tornado warning. And then you'll get another one, beep beep beep, tornado warning. And then you see on the bottom of your TV screen, tornado warning showing up in your Facebook feed, tornado warning. Showing up in your Instagram feed, tornado warning. on your Tik Tok. And we are on Tik Tok right now, by the way. We're are back on Tik Tok. So if it's on Tik Tok, beep beep beep. It's the end of the world because that's the way Tik Tok rolls.

[00:14:41]That is what happens. And y'all y'all know I'm I'm I'm speaking the truth here. Anyway, point is all these notifications are everywhere. Tornado warning. tornado warning and I'm no longer on now. I'm no longer on because there's no tornado.

[00:15:03]But here's my question to you guys. And actually, no, Cindy, I did not have any caffeine today. I'm just enjoying the fact that I don't have to look at the commercial breaks right this second and I'm able to just banter because truth be told before I love broadcast. Love it.

[00:15:25]But prior to that, man, I could just sit up here, put my socks up, and just talk and talk and talk, right? And we would have these conversations, but it's a little trickier when you have all these commercial breaks, which I'm not complaining about. Anyway, point is, all these people are hearing all these tornado warnings and I'm not on TV. So, one of two things will probably come to your mind. One, Dennis is not on because there's no threat. And I would hope that would be what you would think.

[00:16:05]But the reality of it is people might also think, yeah, Dennis dropped the ball. He doesn't know that there's a tornado warning on. Everybody else is on talking about it. Of course, I would argue, what are they talking about? It's not there. it doesn't exist, but they're still there talking about it.

[00:16:23]And it's that it's tough because I know news directors out there and stations out there that they're going to go on regardless even if it doesn't exist because they want to make a presence.

[00:16:37]And I I don't say that I disagree with that. So anyway, the end of the the point of the story is if there's a tornado warning, even if there is no tornado on out there, I will still be on talking about it. Or I will be talking about the fact that you're getting notifications, your phone's blowing up, you're seeing this everywhere, Tik Tok says it's the end of the world, and I will be there saying, "Nope, you know what? I know you're hearing all this, but you're good." And I I agree with that philosophy because it's just like hurricane season when everybody's saying it's the end of the world and the Weather Channel and all these national sources are saying if you live in Florida, you better run. And then the local Mets and the local weather service and whatnot, we're giving you more realistic representations of what's happening. So, it's kind of the same mindset. It's my job to get you through a difficult situation. Even if the tornado does not Kelly, how you doing? No, I do love Tam International Airport. I CJ Phoebe Phoebe aka CJ so funny. But anyway, so all right. No, no idea how we got on that tangent, but I felt compelled. Do you guys know that my bank account got hacked this week?

[00:18:10]I'm not going to get into it because we got to talk about weather, but holy cow.

[00:18:16]Let's just say I had x number of dollars in my bank account on Monday night and on Tuesday my bank account had 24 cents in it.

[00:18:33]Let me tell you, we have a broad range of viewers out there. People watch us all over the state. People watch us all and this happened in South Florida. This happened in Miami. All right. So, all of these said purchases on my card were at Apple stores and a Walgreens.

[00:18:57]Lot of Apple stores for thousands and thousands of dollars.

[00:19:04]It's true story. And I just want y'all to know. So if those hackers are out there and they might very well, you know what, it's certainly possible because we have a broad range, especially on Facebook, you know, 1.4 million people.

[00:19:21]It might get back to the hackers. You know that, hey, guess who we ended up hacking? Well, just I want you to know that I have a special set of skills. I'm just gonna leave it at that.

[00:19:36]So anyway, um All right. So, oh, and this ain't over. This ain't over. And, and by the way, my bank backed me up and it's all good now and everything's okay.

[00:19:46]But this ain't over. Just remember that.

[00:19:52]Just remember that when the Apple store has surveillance videos and everything else because I'm telling you, whatever law enforcement needs from me, I'm there. We got a special set of skills. All right.

[00:20:07]Okay. Anyway, um but yeah, it all worked out because my bank did was amazing. I learned a lot about, you know, about how hacking works and whatnot. And um like sometimes the banks will take up to 90 days to to um make a decision on a dispute if you were, you know, if you report it that it was hacked or whatnot.

[00:20:28]Literally in 12 hours, mine was solved.

[00:20:30]And it was a lot. It was a chunk of change. and they put the money back in. They gave me a new checking and savings account number, new debit card number.

[00:20:41]Everything's new, right? And uh so anyway, crazy crazy. 24 cents.

[00:20:50]I got to give props, I guess, that they were able to get that close to how much it would be for Actually, no, that's not true because then they tried to make a transaction at a Target for like 700 and something odd dollars and that got denied. I did. That was the first notification that I got from the bank that oh uh there was an attempt to there was an attempt at for Target for $757 and it was denied. Nothing about the $10,000 purchases at the Apple stores in Miami or anything else. Holy cow. I digress. All right, there you go. So, that's lots of lots and lots of stuff happened in my week, including my son's uh IB speech yesterday, which I shared on socialists, which I was super super proud of. I mean, I knew he's always been smarter than me, but I really thought I had him in public speaking.

[00:21:40]I'm not so sure anymore. Man, he nailed that. All right, let's go back finally after my hacking and my tornado warnings and everything else that we've had. Let's do a little bit of talking here. Oh yes, I do have a special set of skills, April. Oh yes, I do. All right, so there's a look at radar and we are in that pattern that we have spoke of that onshore flow.

[00:22:09]Onshore flow.

[00:22:12]So when we get an onshore flow, it does a number of things. One, let's start counting them. One, increases due points. So, humidities are higher. Sure you noticed it today. Due points were higher. Two, afternoon highs are not quite as high as they are when it's dry out because when the due points are low, the air can get hotter. The drier the air, the hotter the air. All right? So, when the due points climb, the afternoon lows act actually the morning lows rise and the afternoon highs fall. We get hotter. When it's drier, we get a little less hot. when it's more humid, but the feels like temperatures are much higher because you've got all that stinking humidity out there. So, the feels like temperatures are higher and you start to see morning rain. And we've had it the last couple of nights, overnight and early morning rains. All right. So, what are we looking out there right now?

[00:23:14]Okay. Um, yeah, I've had so many alerts. I have no idea how it happened. I still don't.

[00:23:25]But thank you, Laura. Yeah, his speech really was I was so proud. I was so proud of him. I you know, I never thought I'm I'm going to be honest. I never looked at my son Jake. He's a little shy at times, super smart, great guy, but I never thought he would be as dynamic of a speaker as he is and as he was yesterday. I was I was blown away.

[00:23:49]absolutely blown away. All right, so here's a live look at radar and we definitely still have some pretty feisty storms going on right now across Highlands, eastern Dotto County right there. Quite a bit of lightning with that as well. How many lightning strikes, you ask? 278.

[00:24:08]So there they are. All right. And we've still got some in Pulk County, which by the way, I will be in Lakeland tomorrow.

[00:24:15]I'm not sure where I'm going to be. I forget. somewhere in Lakeland tomorrow for the hurricane expo. I got to find where I'm supposed to be before tomorrow, but I'll be there tomorrow morning between 11 and 12. So anyway, there's a look at the rain over the last three hours.

[00:24:34]Westerly flow, southwesterly flow means all of the rain moves inland in the afternoon and evening. Then you look out in the Gulf and you're like, well, what about that, Dennis?

[00:24:46]that should die out, but with a west wind occasionally you see some of these even hang together. Now, the models are not showing that they will, but that is something that we'll have to watch for the morning, even though I do think we're seeing some slightly drier air coming in tomorrow. So, I'm watching this, but the models are not impressed at all with this area of rain. Westerly wind historically means you can take a line and draw it about right here and that's where the bulk of the rain east of that line will be with a west to east flow. All right, that's how we're looking at. All right, temperatures right now mid to upper 80s.

[00:25:29]Highs today not as high, not as many middle 90s because the due points are higher.

[00:25:36]Remember, the lower the due point, the higher the temperatures can climb. The higher the due point, the morning lows are warmer, but the afternoon highs aren't quite as warm outside right now.

[00:25:48]Nice shot there. That's that's Florida for you. Left side of the screen, blue sky. Right side of the se screen, some cirrus clouds. Some stratus out there in the distance.

[00:25:59]and 86° with the due point in the low70s. Was in the mid70s here. Feels like it. 92. Looking out from the feeding Tampa Bay cam, the high today was one degree below average. But look at that morning low. The morning low dropped down to 78.

[00:26:16]So we're going to be around 80 degrees as your morning low tomorrow. That is that onshore flow when that water temperature goes into the middle 80s.

[00:26:25]So there's a look at the satellite.

[00:26:26]Everything moving inland. Futurecast dry. See, look at overnight. Maybe maybe a quick shower rolling in from that gunk that I showed you out there in the Gulf, but the overall majority of the rain tomorrow will again be afternoon. There might be a few morning showers along the coast. I I mean I think there will be a couple, but the bulk of the heavier rain will be inland and east. It's that same westerly flow. But on Sunday, we get a slug of moisture coming in.

[00:27:07]It's still west to east flow. So, whatever is on the beach will be in the morning. Whatever is along the coast will be in the morning.

[00:27:17]And then the models are a little more bullish than I am on the coverage of the rain Sunday morning. I do think there will be a broken line of some storms, but I don't think it's going to be a solid line like that. Looks like a squall line. Check out Jason tomorrow.

[00:27:33]But that is a look at what the models are showing. And I'll show you the euro in a minute. Temperatures upper 80s to around 90. Onshore flow, higher humidity, no mid 90s.

[00:27:50]Sunday, the models are definitely looking at some better coverage of the rain as that moisture pushes through.

[00:27:56]Monday and Tuesday, a little drier. And then Wednesday and Thursday, another slug of moisture, but that west toe easterly flow continues. Now, let me say something about that, and that is somewhat of a concern to me.

[00:28:11]All right.

[00:28:13]When we get an onshore flow or a wet Denise, there actually might be some Saharan dust coming in early next week. I'll show you that coming up in a second, too. But when we get this onshore flow, it means the heavier rains will be east of I75.

[00:28:33]So, we don't want this because the inland area is going to get rain either way. But if we get a west wind, you just do not see as much rain along the coast. So unfortunately, we're kind of locked into this pattern for the time being. And when we see it, it means more clouds at the beach, as you see right here. Less sunny skies at the beach. And if there is rain, it's usually earlier in the day. And then the clouds kind of linger. For the Boers tomorrow, west winds, water temperature climbing now to 84 degrees. But those westerly winds are bad for rain along the coast.

[00:29:13]Okay, there's a 7-day.

[00:29:17]So, tomorrow through the next seven days, westerly flow morning co. If you get rain along the beach, it'll be before noon.

[00:29:27]Everything pushes inland later on in the day. All right. Monday, Ally will will be in for me because I am throwing out the first pitch at the Rays game and my daughter Ryan is singing the national anthem at the Rays game. Taking on the Tigers game time 6:40 I believe she sings the national anthem at 6:26.

[00:29:52]So, and I look there's like $11 seats in some areas. I mean, they're kind of way out in the outfield, but whatever.

[00:31:23]Maybe a little low pressure developing east of us as says the GFS. Then it turns into a little cut off low out there off the Mid-Atlantic and eventually lifts off to the north.

[00:31:34]But not a lot, not a lot of rain because as I've been saying, that rain that we had last week was not rainy season rain.

[00:31:42]Anna Maria and anyone else who wanted to argue with me, rainy season rain happens when you have already enough heat and energy that you don't need anything else for it to create it. The last couple of weeks we've had a lot of moisture coming in from the east and the south and that was the fuel. Once we hit mid June the fuel is the warm water which we are almost there. Quickly if you look at the euro the euro is showing more of the same thing.

[00:32:10]West to east flow heaviest rain on the east coast. There's your coverage on Sunday night. Pretty solid but nothing along the coast. All right, streamers, that is all. [00:34:41]And then more rain for us. Just scattered stuff. So, let's call up the euro and look at it from the national map and see what it looks like.

[00:34:52]See how it looks different? It's lots of squiggly lines. Right. So, look.

[00:35:02]All right. So, look at the area of rain coming in from the southwest.

[00:35:14]You might you might have a weak little low trying to develop if the euro is right. It's certainly not organized.

[00:35:21]It's not like the GFS has been saying it, but it is a little something.

[00:35:26]And then we just look at Holy cow. So here's something interesting. So look at that low off the Mid-Atlantic swinging a front through. See that?

[00:35:35]So, you got the low off the Mid-Atlantic, off the North Carolina, and as it develops, it develops a front along it, and it swings that front all the way through.

[00:35:48]And, you know, that's two weeks down, so whatever. It's not it's not going to happen. But, it is kind of interesting.

But hopefully you all will be there as well because I know you all love Ally because Alli's awesome. And she will be here Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. I'll be back on Thursday and then I don't think I have any time off until like 4th of July. Um but the college stuff, you know, the college stuff, it's it takes up a lot of time.
