From Science to Philosophy

[00:00:00]When we started philosophy at Catholic University of America, you and I were both coming from a science background.

[00:00:08]Yes. You had studied science at Notre Dame. Uh-huh.

[00:00:11]>> I had uh received a pharmacy degree prior to entrance. Mhm. So, we had a lot of science training. Mhm.

[00:00:19]But, here we were asked to study philosophy, and this was using perhaps a a part of our brain that we hadn't really tapped into >> [laughter] >> ever. And yes, but the thing that really just put me in awe was how quickly you were able to learn the language and be able to converse, and I thought you have such a gift for that. I I I thought it was very inspiring at the time, and to be able to see you continue to grow and learn in your ability to discuss philosophical things and to teach >> Yeah. philosophy. Yes. Thank you so much. I appreciate that. It's amazing.
