Walking with Jesus is a daily spiritual journey that involves maintaining a close relationship with God through prayer, Bible reading, and following His guidance, similar to how a child holds their father's hand during a storm to feel safe and guided; this relationship requires time, trust, and consistent practice, as exemplified by Moses who learned to walk with God through 40 years of communion while tending sheep, and Jesus promises to be our light and guide wherever we go.

And I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation and kindred and tongue and people saying with a loud voice, "Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of the judgment is come, and worship him that made heaven and earth and the seas and all And there followed another angel saying, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
And the third angel followed them saying with a loud voice, "If any man worship the beast and his image and receive his mark in his forehead or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture in the cup of his indignation, and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up forever and ever, and they have no rest day or night who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
Here is the patience of the saints.
Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus." Please be seated.

And happy weather adventurer day.
Thanks to my dear friend Haley for your kind words of introduction.
Today is a very special day because adventurers all around the world, boys and girls just like us, and even adults are learning about one important thing.
Walking with Jesus.
Let us pray. Dear Jesus, thank you for gathering us here today. Quiet our hearts and open our ears to listen to your words that we may be changed by your truth. Amen.
Let me ask you a question.
Have you ever gone for a walk with someone that you love? Maybe your mom, dad, grandparents, or friend?
When you walk with someone, you stay close.
You listen to them and go where they go.
Amen, church?
Walking with Jesus is like When you walk with someone, you stay close. You listen to them and go where they go.
Walking with Jesus is like that, but even better. Amen, church?
Jesus says in the Bible that he is light of the world. Turn your Bibles with me to John 8 verse 12. When you have found it, say amen.
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world.
Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Light helps us see. Light helps us feel safe. Light shows us where to go.
When we walk with Jesus every day, he helps us know what is right, what is kind, and what is loving.
That close daily friendship with Jesus is called the communion.
Today, we are going to learn about walking with Jesus by learning about someone in the Bible who walked very closely with God.
That person is Moses.
Moses did not always know God well.
When Moses was a baby, he was saved from danger.
He grew up in a big palace with fancy clothes and important people, but even though he had many things, he did not know him God's plan for his life.
One day, Moses was far away taking care of sheep.
It was quiet. It was ordinary, and then something amazing happened. Moses saw a bush on fire, but the bush did not burn up.
God spoke to Moses from the bush.
God was inviting Moses to walk with him.
Moses was afraid, but he listened.
The Bible teaches us that Moses did not learn to walk with God in one day. He learned by spending time with God every day.
Ellen G. White tells us Moses was fitted for his work by the 40 years of communion and with God while tending the flocks of Jethro. This can be found in Patriarchs and Prophets, page 247.
That means Moses talked with God, listened to God, and trusted God day after day.
You see, church, walking with Jesus takes time, and that's okay.
Later, God asked Moses to lead his people out of Egypt. This was not easy.
The people had to walk through the desert. The sun was hot. The nights were dark. Sometimes the people felt scared.
But God did not leave them alone. In Exodus 13:21, it tells us, "By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud and by night in a pillar of fire." Isn't God a good God, church?
Oh, yes, he is.
Imagine, during the day God gave them a cloud to shield them from the burning sun and at night God gave them fire to light their pathway so they could see.
God was showing them, "I am with you.
I will guide you. You are not walking alone." Amen, church?
Ellen G. White explains that the Lord knew the dangers that surrounded his people and he would not leave them walk to walk alone. Patriarchs and Prophets, page 282.
I am sure you will agree with me that sometimes we also feel like we are walking through a desert. It may be a new school or a hard day.
Feeling lonely or even feeling scared, but Jesus promises to be our light just like he was for Moses and the Israelites.
One of the most beautiful things about Moses is how close he was to God. The Bible says, "The Lord would speak to Moses face to face as one speaks to a friend." This is found in Exodus 33:11.
That does not mean Moses saw God's face.
It means they talked often. They trusted each other.
Church, today God wants to be your friend, too.
Ellen G. White says, "Prayer is the opening of the heart to God as to a friend." Steps to Christ, page 93.
When you pray, Jesus listens.
Jesus cares.
Jesus stays close.
When you read the Bible or listen to Bible stories, Jesus speaks to your heart. That is a communion.
That is walking with Jesus.
You do not have to be grown up to walk with Jesus. You do not have to know everything. You just have to choose to walk with him every day.
You may ask, "Just how can I do that?"
It is pretty simple, friends.
Pray every morning and night. Read or listen to a Bible story. Be kind even when it's hard. Obey your parents and leaders. Help others and share love.
Ellen G. White gives us this wise advice, "Consecrate yourself to God in the morning. Make this your very first work." Steps to Christ, page 70.
That means starting each day by saying, "Jesus, walk with me today."
Moses walked with God, and God used him to bless the world.
When you walk with Jesus, he will use you, too, to bring kindness, to bring courage, and to bring light.
As we go about from day to day, let us remember Jesus' promise, "Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."
Adventurers, Jesus is inviting you today to walk with him, to trust to him, and to stay close to him.
Our closing hymn is hymn 590.
When we walk with the Lord, please stand.
>> When we walk with the Lord in the light of His word, what a glory He sheds >> [music and singing] >> on our way. While we do His good will, He abides >> [singing] >> with us still, and with all who will trust and obey.
Trust and obey.
For there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Not a shadow can >> [singing] >> rise, not a >> [music] >> cloud in the skies, but His smile quickly drives >> [singing and music] >> it away.
Not a doubt nor a fear, >> [music] >> not a sigh nor a tear, can abide while we trust and obey.
>> [singing] [music] >> Trust and obey.
For there's no other way to be [singing and music] happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
Not a burden we bear, not [music] a sorrow we share, but His >> [music] >> own He will >> [singing] >> repair. Not a grief nor a >> [music] >> trial, not a frown nor a cross, but His presence drives >> [music] >> it away.

>> [music and singing] [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [music and singing] [music] [music and singing] [music] [singing] [music] [singing] [music] [music] [singing] [music] >> Amen.
Let us pray. Dear Jesus, thank you for being our light.
Thank you for walking with us every day.
Help us to pray more, listen, and follow you at home, at school, and wherever we go.
Let us always remember to choose to walk with you. Amen.
Dismiss [singing and music] us, Lord, with blessings, we pray.
As from [singing] thy worship we go >> [singing] >> our way.
Guide us in our conflicts all through the day.
Safe in thy kingdom, thine be the praise.
>> [music] >> Amen.
