ASMR | Playing With and Picking Through Your Hair & ScalpAdded:
It's got so long.
I'm jealous.
So, what did you want me to do? Just play with it or you had some concerns.
Maybe a tiny bit of dandruff.
Nothing too crazy. Has it been bothering you?
just aesthetically bit itchy.
Well, you did just buy a new shampoo, right?
Maybe it just needs some time to adjust.
Or maybe that one just doesn't really work for your skin.
I mean, yeah, it's in beautiful condition considering you dye it.
Oh, yeah. You've always been someone that looks after the hair.
Well, I can try and get some of it removed, but I don't want to go too crazy with it.
And I don't really mind what I do, just as long as I'm rooting around in there.
Nothing feels better than someone playing with your hair.
Yeah, it's a bit naughty.
Just brush it first.
Start at the bottom.
I brought with me today a pure bristle brush.
Yeah. So, I think I'll use that at the end. It just makes your hair like super shiny and healthy.
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what they used to use like years ago cuz I think what it does is transfers the natural oil, the natural oil in your scalp down the hair to the ends.
So they didn't have to wash their hair as often as we do.
I know. I don't know why we don't use those still today. They're like quite expensive. I think obviously modern hair brushes are just to detangle.
Your hair is so smooth and soft.
It's so easy to brush.
It's so thick.
No, I'm so bad. I don't even brush my hair every day. I've always been like that. But I'm quite lucky. My hair doesn't tangle that easily.
I tend to just brush it in the shower with a wide tooth comb and then I just leave it I've always been quite lazy when it comes to my own hair.
Like anytime I've had a particular style cut in, it has to be low maintenance. Otherwise, it just won't do it.
I wish I could be someone that like blow dried their hair. I don't even know how to do that. You give yourself a blowout.
It looks so good.
Okay.
It's not red.
You've been scratching.
Can't really tell.
I'm just getting some of the flakes out.
Yeah, this always makes your hair naughty again after I finished.
Yeah, I've noticed that, you know, kind of down the parting the most.
I think it's because that's where the sun hits this skin.
It's like, have you ever had sunburn on your scalp before?
That's weird.
It's good for itching. Anyway, Look at these flakes.
Are you falling asleep?
I don't mind.
Oh god, don't head. Even the talk of it makes my head itchy. So, let's not talk about that.
It's been so naughty now.
Just try something.
This is what they do when you're at the hairdressers when they wash your hair.
And I always feel like it gets rid of any dry skin.
Plus, it feels nice.
Yeah, I had a scalp massage like a couple of weeks ago.
I was getting like ASMR tingles in real life. It was so good.
Yeah, your hair's going to look crazy after this.
I know. I've always I have always thought maybe I should train to be a misuse, but I wonder if they get like finger cramp because every time I've given anyone a massage, I'm like, "Oh, my fingers are cramping."
You must have strong muscular fingers.
Don't worry, I'll brush it again.
Sorry, am I catching her?
Okay.
I know we love getting our hair brushed as an adult, but why was it never relaxing when we were kids? It was always like a dreaded time.
I think our moms were just impatient, over stimulated.
I have to do this in sections.
I made a red mess.
Not hurting you, am I?
Good.
I can't wait for my hair to be as long as yours.
Okay.
Isn't it such a lovely color?
No, it definitely suits you.
I wouldn't change it.
I know. And you just do it yourself, right? You don't even go to a salon.
I would, but I'm kind of like I'm trying not to tie my hair.
I spent like my late teens and my early 20ies dying my hair constantly to the point that it all started falling out.
So now I think it deserves a bit of a break.
Yeah, I think I bleached it for the first time when I was like 15 or 16.
And then I add every color under the sun. I've added pink.
I've added blue. I've added green.
I've added red, orange, black, brown, different shades of brown, platinum blonde, dish water blonde. That's such a weird name for a shade of blonde. It sounds kind of derogatory, but it's a lovely color.
I know. I was always jealous of people that had naturally blonde hair, but I think I'm like on a self-love journey with my hair now of like trying to just be happy with my natural color.
Yeah, I had an argument with my little brother recently about that. He was like, "No one who's an adult has naturally blonde hair." I was like, "What are you talking about?"
Yes, they do. He was like, "Not platinum blonde."
That's just not true. There's plenty of people who have that naturally.
You just don't see it a lot, I suppose.
Not in England anyway.
Yeah, it's not really on your scalp anymore. It's just in the actual hair strands.
Yeah, not bad.
Hold on. Just having a look at the back.
That's okay.
Yeah. Have you tried anti-dandruff shampoo?
I always feel like it's a scam. I don't know why.
I'm just always quite suspicious of hair products.
How How long does your hair take to dry?
Like Yeah, if you just let it air dry.
I bet there's so much of it.
No, because I find it relaxing as well.
Yeah. When my hair was as long as yours, my mom used to like doing kind of fun, intricate styles like princess braids and things like that. Again, like I said, I was I was too lazy to do it myself.
Um, no. I don't think you do have any split ends.
I do. I need to trim. I'm just reluctant to because I'm trying to grow it out.
But they say that if you do trim it regularly, then it grows quicker. But I don't know how true that is.
I don't have a air bubble.
But you've got like long layers, don't you?
Which give it a nice shape.
Just a bit that I missed.
Okay, so this should make your hair feel really silky and soft.
Yeah. So, this is what you probably heard. And they would have to brush their hair 100 times, like 100 strokes.
I'm not counting today, but Yeah. Transfers all the oils cuz everyone has oils in their scalp.
Even if you've just washed it down the I can already see that It's getting nice and shiny.
Yeah. Not shiny in a greasy way. Just like a healthy glow.
Is it relaxing?
Good.
Yeah. I mean, I don't think that the bristles penetrate your hair to a point that it would detangle it necessarily. I don't know.
Like, it feels like it's just touching the top layer, but I don't think it is.
Yeah, I don't have anything to tie it up with.
To be honest, I don't think you should tie it up anyway because it looks so lovely.
Like it all almost makes it look like you just straightened your hair.
Gorgeous.
Okay, I think we're done.
Yeah, if you feel it, it feels so silky.
I'm not sure. I'll have to ask my dad.
He bought it for me years ago, but I only just recently found it again.
Okay.
