Houston County election update from the Board of Elections

[00:00:00]I am out here at the Houston County Board of Elections where votes have been coming in all night from the 17 different precincts across the county.

[00:00:10]These are all for the races that have been going on across the state, but what I've specifically been covering is the local races. That's going to be FLOSS, the floating local option sales tax, which if voted into effect would take the sales tax from 7% to 8% in Houston County, as well as the Houston County Board of Education races. That's District 2, District 4, and at-large District 6. Now, I'm going to take you inside and kind of show you where those votes have been coming in. Here we go.

[00:00:39]So, we come in this door. The election officials have been posting the precinct totals here, and then when a summary report comes out, that's this. It comes in this packet that has all of the races that have been on the ballot since early voting started. And right now, there are 12 out of 17 precincts reporting.
