Uh now allegedly if you uh flash your high beams uh which yes it is flashing uh they move away. We can stay in our lane. So we're going to we're going to test this out here. We're flashing but they don't move always. I guess it's not like this guy wants to camp over the left and straight jacking me.

So it's harder to like it's going to be harder to drive just like in real life. The the gaps are not as predictable anymore.

We are in Shutou. We're testing the new traffic 2.0. This is heavy traffic. And I think it's kind of very it's too heavy for uh for us to be able to cut, but we can still try.

[00:04:15]Like before you would touch cars and they wouldn't do much. Uh thank you said poor I fixed that. Look at the mileage.

[00:04:56]Have you tried the traffic 2.0? Isac fly. I have a question. How much did this whole setup cost agent? Uh so the car part, which is the main part of my simulator, what makes it special, was about $700.

[00:05:10]I spent about $300 in car parts. Another $400 in wood, metal, and carpet. Uh, thank you. He's turn using his turn signal.

[00:05:19]Uh, so $700 will get you the rig itself, the part that makes my simulator special with all the Arduinos and stuff to make it work. Now, obviously that does not include the PC, the TV, uh, even the wheelbase because those things can be customized to your liking and your budget.

[00:05:42]Uh, is it a Volvo V7 you built the sim from? Yeah. V70 or S70 Zen. It's the same interior. Both V7R and S60R have the exact same interior. The only thing here right now that we're not using uh from the original car is the uh wheel uh the steering wheel, which I do have the steering wheel right here. This is the Volvo S60R steering wheel. Uh it has a quick release just like all my other steering wheels and it's a very easy swap uh in and out.

[00:06:14]Uh speed limit in Shutoco is 50 m kilm/h to 80 km/h. Oh, nice. I did not know that. Thank you. So it makes sense that they're driving so slow cuz we are like right now we're doing what 50 45 miles an hour. We're keeping up with the traffic. So, if it's 50 m an hour here, we're we're keeping up with the traffic.

[00:06:36]And this is new traffic 2.0. You see, we don't have a gap anymore.

[00:06:41]But allegedly, if I just use my high beams here and flash it a few times.

[00:07:16]Well, it's trying to speed up. Kind of like in real life. Sometimes people just give way, sometimes people won't. And it took a little bit longer, but he break checked me and got out of the way.

[00:07:47]How many miles have you done playing all the games that you play, Jason? Uh Boswell, I've done about 60 70,000 miles by now. You see, the car mileage was at 98,000 miles. So, if you just do a simple calculation, I did about 40,000 miles. But before I got the mileage to work, I I was driving a lot. So, I did about 30,000 mi. I'm, you know, trying to guess before I actually uh went up uh and started moving with the odometer.

[00:08:23]So yeah, we got new traffic here. In theory, uh it should be more optimized.

[00:08:40]So I am usually running about 120 frames per second. And you can see right now we're doing 80 9 8 75 uh miles frames per second. This is the frames.

[00:09:03]Uh in terms of like the traffic, but it's also more realistic. It feels that you're driving on a real road.

Like before you would crash into a car here in Noazi and they would just like bump, you know, just go out of your way. Oh, this guy used the left turn signal and went to the right in true BMW fashion. Doesn't know how to work it.

[00:10:41]Now they get out of the way when you flash your high beams. It take a moment but it will eventually get out of the way. Let's see. Like yeah turn signal on. Getting out. So it's the new traffic 2.0. There's no more like predictable gaps. You see the cars the way they're moving is more realistic. So if you want to cut traffic, you're going to have to be more careful with this traffic 2.0.

[00:11:04]It's still in beta, but you know, and cars move out, you know, move, they change lanes, which is something that did not happen before. So, it's a lot of fun. I think it's more realistic. If somebody wants to drive in a more realistic environment, it's way better.

This is something that happens in real life and you're stuck behind cars and they move out of the way but they take some time.

I got the, you know, came with the Super Cruise lights, which are shift lights now. And I'm making a tutorial.

It just feels totally different if I had my Volvo steering wheel here or a a GT steering wheel for that matter. If I'm driving like in a GT or F1 car, if I put this steering wheel, it just drives different.

They will tailgate other people. So, they'll do other things.

Um I can use my my wipers if it starts raining. Now, the traffic's more realistic. You can see that cars change lanes. They don't have like always the same gap around them. It's it's different.

So J-Tech, I have a mossa and the mosa system. It's just as simple as just the quick release. So all I have here on this real steering wheel is a quick release and a an ESP32. So I have the buttons working. I can change the Apple CarPlay screen right there. I can do I can change the song. If I put it louder and you're going to hear it's just changed to a new song here. I can show you the song that's playing right now. That's the song. If I change it again, it's going to go to another song. Now it's Parrots Paradigm and uh obviously they take a while to start to just jump in and so on and so forth. So the steering wheel is fully functional. Uh every single button here is fully functional. Even the power seat is is functional.

[00:26:55]Is it expensive to build a similar? No, it's not. Uh if you go to my channel, you'll find a tutorial. It's about $700 to build a similar setup uh using car parts from a junkyard and then building in your house using wood, metal, and carpet. What car am I driving? OPR, we're driving the Cadillac CT5D.

[00:30:14]Map Matt is called uh SRP or Shutoco Revival Project. It's a replica of the C1 loop in Japan, also known as Shuto Expressway in Japan. And we're driving in a server called No Hesi. It's now in beta test for this new traffic pattern which is more realistic. Cars are changing lanes. The gaps are not so predictable anymore. You can use your high beams to get them move to move out of the way. There's a lot of stuff that is new to this server. Maybe they could add police here in the future. I don't know. That'd be fun. I'd love to have like uh AI police. Not just like people, but also AI.

So, we have the clutch right down here. So, if I want to go high uh up here gear, I'll press the clutch and just shift gears just like in a real car. And this trim here is from a Volvo S60R, the space ball. That's the the shifter that I have here. It's the exactly the same as my real car, the C6 mod. Oh, it's because of the engine uh AF cuz the uh Cadillac uh CT5V Blackwing engine is very similar to the Corvette.

The 68° Fahrenheit right here. That's my CPU temperature in Celsius. And there is a reason why it shows Fahrenheit and not Celsius because uh the gauge cluster was programmed by Volvo to never display temperatures above 70°. Go figure. Uh, I think we would not survive a temperature of 70° C. So therefore, it's just, you know, I I need to change to Fahrenheit, otherwise it wouldn't show me anything above 70°, which is normal for a car uh for a game.

Uh because if I'm driving a truck with 3,000 RPMs, uh it's, you know, the if I have the numbers correct, it's going to go here from 600 to 3,000. Now, where do I shift? Where is the red line of that sad truck? I don't know. So that's why I tell the game to send 6800, which is my red line there, uh, whenever I hit the red line in the truck or in an F1 car or whatever I'm driving. So if I'm driving a car with 20,000 RPMs, like the old era of F1, I don't have 20,000 here. I have 8,000. So the eight becomes 20. Zero continues to be zero. And the red line is the red line. It's a lot easier, a lot better. And the red line therefore is always calibrated.

It's a E92 manual transmission M3.

Second, I'm using a PP filter uh by Maven Graphics here in my simulator. this uh gives you know this look and feel which has been calibrated by me to look a little darker. So in real life it's darker for you guys it looks good. That's because well with a triple TV you know emitting light. You would imagine that the rest is going to be dark cuz you know it's trying to compensate for this huge amount of light coming in. So I have to tone down. I lower the brightness of my TVs and then I lower the brightness in the game as well so it doesn't just, you know, blind the camera. Elias, do I remember you? I'm sorry, man. I don't think I do, man. My nozzie doesn't work.

[01:27:18]And right now I am using uh the temperature up here on this side. This temperature there is the CPU temperature right here. So it's running 68° uh Fahrenheit. You can actually see here if I change the camera, this is my Apple CarPlay with the temperatures. You see the CPU on the top left as 69° C. The reason why um it's it's Fahrenheit here and not Celsius is because the gauge cluster is programmed. Um, dude, you need to move up shift otherwise the the traffic's going to keep holding me here.

Uh it is possible but you will have to you know jump a few hoops because fan attack is uh annoying and they are protective and they do not let you play if they don't recognize you're using a fan attack steering wheel. So you will need either a emulator or you need to sacrifice a steering wheel so Fanitech thinks that you're using a fan attack steering wheel even though you're using whatever. And then as for the wheel itself, yes, any steering wheel is possible. You can get any steering wheel from any car to work here as long as you just work on it and get the the quick release, get the buttons to work with an ESP32. That's doable with any steering wheel. It doesn't matter what brand, what, you know, whatever. Uh you can just click the buttons and get them working.
