How would Reform UK Wales fund tax cuts?

We're We're talking about 10 10% of the civil service of the central Welsh government would be cut over time, and we would also have a pay freeze. So, that's the civil service. That's the jobs.

So, we think there's room there for some pay restraint, and that's quite right. At the end of the day, we want to channel that money into nurses and our NHS. And there's also subs expensive subsidies that we're paying for as well. So, so there's plenty of money. We're talking about 1.5% of the overall budget. It is very achievable. And we We've stated very clearly, and I have throughout these debates, where we would make those savings. But look, we want to put money back into people's pockets. They've been clobbered as well through council tax increases. In Wales, quite regularly, councils increase council tax by 6, 7, 8, 9% every single year. And we want to stop that as well. So, we want to put money back in people's pockets so they can deal with the cost of living crisis that has been caused by the Conservatives and Labour.

This is not doable. This is fantasy politics. We We don't think those are fantasy. Let Anthony continue. [laughter] Why is it fantasy politics? I mean, It's all waste, isn't it? So, is this undetermined waste? We're going to pay for everything What that waste is?

[00:01:38]Can I tell you what UNISON the union said about Dan Thomas's time running a Tory council in London? The record shows ideology sold as practicality. Savings promised and not delivered. Democratic scrutiny curtailed. Workers left That That's an example of me as I'm the only leader on this panel who has cut tax, protected frontline services. When I was a council leader, I I kept all libraries open. We refurbished leisure centers, and we delivered excellent services. And resident satisfaction went up. None of your councils have done that in Wales, actually. [laughter] The voters obviously didn't agree with you. You lost one of the safest Tory councils. That was because of party gate, actually. Get your facts right.
