[00:00:00]Hello YouTube. In today's video, we are going to be getting into another very heavy short film. I don't even have to say anything. Just read the thumbnail.

[00:00:12]Read the title. We are going to be getting into the subject of Self-Exit aka Super Hopefully YouTube doesn't like censor this too much. Yeah, I mean, as you guys know, we don't only do true crime here. I love doing short films with you guys, especially when they touch on super heavy subjects like this.

[00:00:30]Anything having to do with mental health, I think having these discussions is extremely important. Uh especially among the youth because I think I think subjects like this are overly stigmatized and that's what makes it more dangerous. Oddly enough, people sometimes think like, oh, like if you if you put this into the brain of a of a young person, they're more likely to do it. No. The more you expose people to this, the more you have productive conversations about things like this, especially through art, aka movies or paintings or whatever, it brings awareness. It makes people feel seen. It makes people feel less alone, and it helps people understand themselves better. So, uh, it actually decreases the chance of people doing something like this. I'm not going to say the word. So, yeah. Anyway, that's all for the intro. The title of today's short film is called Land. It is a brand new short film. It only came out 12 days ago and it's already at 1.1 million views.

[00:01:20]Before we watch the video, let's read the description. It says, "15-year-old Amriita finds herself in a very atypical afterlife, trying to come to terms with the cause behind her own death." Okay.

[00:01:32]Okay. So, that's some really valuable context from reading the description.

[00:01:35]So, we're already dead. This is a 15-year-old, by the way. So, that's already really sad. You guys ready? Here we go. Hold my hand. I'm right here. Let me read the warning here. [00:02:21]Straight off the bat, I want to say that I really like the art style. I I like this color palette. It's like it's weird. It's colorful, but at the same time, it's very pale and stuff. And then, as you can see here, we see a rope. We see a rope. We see a noose here. So, yeah. Oh, is this a blade? Oh god. All right, let's let's continue.

Like, wow, how could you do this to me? Embarrassing me, embarrassing the family. Like, dude, yeah, that's terrible. But it's sad. It's true. Like, that that happens.

[00:12:46]It's like that split second of regret like their life starts flashing before their eyes, you know, they start thinking about their mom, their friends and stuff and it's like, "Yeah, dude.

[00:12:54]Wow." So that's like super realistic.

[00:12:56]But then also the big thing in this image, the mom's eye, it's swollen. She has a black eye from the dad. He's both verbally and physically abusive to the mom. that, Dad.

For something to push you to think that death is somehow better than being alive, that is some kind of murder. That thought of self-exit that wasn't there just naturally in you. That didn't just come out of nowhere. Somebody or something put that in you. So even if you take your own life, even if you selfexit, in a way, you can still call that murder if you want to get like super deep about it because like somebody or something did that to you.

[00:15:57]Yeah, that makes sense because that's what this uh description described. It's It's her coming to terms with her death.

[00:16:03]She regretted it initially. Dude, wait.

[00:16:05]I'm reading chat right now. Somebody says she was never in a coma. Her mom was praying for her to be forgiven, not her safe return. She regretted leaving her mom alone to survive that asshat of a father. But in the end, she realized that she can't go back and came to term with it. That's really good. So, she regretted dying. She mostly just didn't want to leave her mom alone with that piece of father. But as you guys remember in that scene with like the mom praying, let me see. Yeah. See, like look, this is the dad shaming the mom for praying for her daughter.

[00:16:38]Oh, wait. Yeah. Look, >> look. She was shown this. Okay. So, by her accepting death, she kind of honored her mom's wish. Instead of coming back to continue suffering with the mom and with the dad, the mom was probably even happy. As sad as the mom was, she was not praying for her to come back. She was praying simply to be forgiven. to be forgiven by whoever, by God or something. So, it's like the mom was fully accepting that she was gone. She didn't want her to come back to that nightmare of a household that they were living in. And that's what Amriita, that's what she needed to come to term with, come to terms with. So, she had to jump off this cliff in order to like go back to reality. The mom wanted Amita to to be happy and safe. So, she prayed for her to be safe. Yep. The mom prayed for her to be safe and she was safer in the afterlife. So, like, do you think that's just that's it? You think that's a good summary of what happened? Oh, wait.

[00:17:39]That's a good Wait, wait, wait. I'm glad somebody pointed this out, Shushi. I think that scene where it showed a cut that looked like a private part, like a girl's private part, was a metaphor for rebirth. Maybe because she hatched slash tore out from the cut. See, when I saw that cut that looked like a private part, I thought maybe we were going to get into some essay. But that would make a lot of sense. Like to show a girl private part and then you obviously obviously like what does a girl private part do? It gives birth. Oh, she did come out of it, right? Wait, she did come out of the private part, right? Let me see. I think she came out of it.

[00:18:13]That's her. That's her hand. And the fact that it looks like a girl private part. Yeah. Yeah. It's like rebirth.

[00:18:17]It's her coming out into the uh into the afterlife. Like I'm I'm really not trying to sound like suck it up, you know? Like you're going through some hard right now. Whatever. Like no no no. Trust me. I understand you. I understand that things are hard for a lot of people around the world.
