[00:02:39]Ah, now this is very interesting. So what these look like are a complete whole refit back in 2002.

[00:02:52]So this one shows 56. So I assume that's 5.6 mil, 4.6, 3.8, 51. So, this is obviously the thicknesses of an area below the water line, which isn't quite up to standard. So, they're patching it all up.

[00:03:13]I assume a steel hole on a boat like this would probably have to be about 6 mil, something like that.

[00:03:22]So, you can see they've removed a lot of the fairing, scraped it all back.

[00:03:30]There's a patch So, it's had quite a substantial amount of work done to the hole all the way back then. This is incredible.

[00:04:05]Now that looks like a copper oxide paint.

[00:04:18]So all of that work was done 24 years ago and now the boat's 70 years old. It needs a lot more welding done to the hole. So, I've had a marine welder come and have a look at the boat, and he's going to start all the welding a little bit later on in the year, which means at the moment, we're focusing on the roof, stop all the water ingress, the freshwater ingress, ruining these beautiful original 1956 interiors.

[00:04:43]So, I'm waiting for a tool to arrive so we can take all of that top coat down to the original fiberglass and then have it reglassed, top coated, and it will stop all the water ingress wrecking these interiors.

[00:04:55]But after looking in the cupboards, I think there's going to be some more gems hiding on this old boat because I've barely looked in any of the cupboards.

[00:05:05]And it'd be interesting to see what else we can find hidden on this boat. So, what we'll do is we're going to have a look and see if we can find any other history or important documentation or treasures on this boat.

[00:07:03]Oh, this looks like loads of old original fittings. So, you've got all chrome pieces from the boat. All right, let's check this.

[00:10:44]Right. So, I found all of this in one of the cupboards. So, what I think it is is every single piece of documentation for the boat. So, let's start. Air conditioning, water pumps, store under galley sink. So that must be like merators or things.

[00:15:20]Someone has gone to the effort of keeping them over the years, putting them in a box and looking after them.

[00:15:26]But this is very important. And all of these documents means that in the future as we go through the systems and try and repair things or replace things, it's good to know that we've got the original manuals and we can use this for sort of like part referencing and things like that so we can get things working. Um, if not, we'll replace them. Um, so that's really important. I'm glad we found this cuz it sort of is a great reference to the history of the boat as well. What was on here at one point and what isn't here now. Um, and that BGE is very interesting at the front of the boat. They've used it for storage. It must have been completely full of water at some point. And I'm wondering how the water got in. It might be fresh water just dripping in over the years or um it came in with quite a lot of water in it already. Hard to say really. Um, so in the meantime, while we're waiting for this important tool that I've ordered to sort the roof out, um, I'm going to start refinishing a lot of the teak on the front of the boat and around the boat because this boat's going to be sat here for a few years now and all that exposure to rain and sun is going to degrade it. So, we'll start sanding it all off and we'll start using a really, really high quality yacht varnish and we'll get it all refinished and looking really nice and it will just protect it from all that exposure and keep it in good condition.
