Stress fractures are small cracks in bones that develop from repetitive stress, commonly affecting runners who overtrain. Warning signs include persistent pain during weight-bearing activities like walking or standing. Recovery typically takes 4-6 weeks and requires rest, avoiding impact activities, and potentially wearing a protective boot. Prevention involves proper training, strength training, and maintaining correct running form to avoid excessive stress on bones.

glowing up & getting hotter (current obsessions)Added:
We're here to influence you guys. Things that have been changing our life recently.
>> Guess where I have to go after this. Oh my god. Loadbearing problem. I could say it. Whatever.
>> No, I'm psychotic.
>> I literally thought you were going to say something else. I might have overdone it. Being in my ludal phase.
It's cheaper to get it in the meal deal.
You know, the good old fashioned way.
Hey guys, what's up? Welcome back to Gals on the Go podcast. It's Brooke >> and Danielle. Happy Wednesday.
>> Happy Wednesday. Hump day.
>> That just felt natural today.
>> It just sometimes it rolls off the tongue and sometimes we're silly.
>> Very much so. Giving hump day energy. Um just in the sense that like it's gloomy outside. Like I feel a little off. Do you feel a little off?
>> I feel a little off.
>> You do?
>> I do. I woke up this morning. I felt bad. I went to a workout class with my friend and she was like trying to chat and I just I had nothing to give.
>> Yeah. And some days are those days, you know.
>> Yeah. You know, and they're like, "How are you?" I was just like, "I'm tired."
>> Yeah. Nothing left, nothing to give.
Like a few minor inconveniences and you're just like, "Yeah, it's that vibe today."
>> It Yeah. It's just that vibe like I'm upset that I'm wearing a jacket in the month of May. You know what I mean? Like it's just Yeah. Just like a few things like But first world problems, you know?
>> No, it's it's really nice. Like obviously not to be dark, but since I've been going through so much, I'm like I'm actually happy that today's problem is the weather for me. You know what I It's that it's just like a pe like otherwise >> otherwise good status quo.
>> I know. I would imagine that like >> you appreciate just like normaly now.
>> I really do like I really didn't want to get out of bed this morning. I was like but I'm so happy that that's my problem today.
>> Yeah.
>> You know really like >> Oh, that's so true.
>> Mindset shift.
>> Wow. So >> well I have to tell you something. I want to change this. Um >> guess where I have to go after this.
>> Oh my god. I have no idea. Can you give me a hint or is it I'll never guess it.
I don't think you're really gonna guess it.
>> What?
>> To get an X-ray of my foot?
>> Because I might have overdone it at the marathon.
>> No, I know. I know. I might have a stress fracture in my foot from the marathon. Yeah. So, people warned me of this. I That was my the big thing in my DMs when I was like, you know, the training at the end has been lackluster. I did get a bunch of people, be careful, stress fractures. And you know me, I'm like, "Of course, I'm going to be completely fine." And I finished the race. I felt so good.
>> Yesterday I started noticing uh loadbearing problems like when I would just stand I was standing up or like I was about luckily I didn't run on it. I was about to.
>> You were going to go for a run yesterday >> on the treadmill. I was like I can like probably go for like a jog on the treadmill like I'm ready again.
>> Wow. I'd give myself a week. I'd be like sorry tapped out for a week after. I I just had a day like yesterday I had like an open day so I was like okay this is my you know I was trying to fit it in when when I could.
>> Um >> and I just have noticed it's been getting worse and worse and like I've self diagnosed myself at this point but um I'm going to go and get imaging and see if it's true. I'm hoping that it's just the the muscle problem like but not my right foot >> and it are you like limping?
>> Um it hurts like yeah like walking on it hurts like Yeah, I know. And Ben was like, "You might have to wear a boot."
And I was like, "Oh, no. I don't want to do the boot." But honestly, a boot's better than crotches. So, like, I don't know. I was like, "Oh, this is And you don't want it to get worse because basically you can heal something like this." They say in like four to six weeks. I I'm like self-dagnosing. I don't even know if this is true. Like, I'm just jumping to conclusions. Like, look, it's only four weeks.
>> Broke the radiologist.
>> Yeah. Yeah. Literally. Can I send my scans to that?
>> We used to do that all the time.
>> Oh my. Well, he might be able to tell me. Apparently, it's so tiny. like it's like it's not like a fully like broken foot, but >> they say that if you overdo it, like overstrain yourself, um that this like can happen. I guess that's why you can't just go even if you're a fit person like you can't just like run a marathon because >> are there things you can do or wear while you're running to No, I can't run.
Oh, while you're running to prevent >> Yeah. Like could you more training? It's like honestly strength training too.
Like it's like getting stronger because it's like >> a lot of running is like coming from like your calves too.
>> Okay. if that makes sense. Like kind of like where you carry your weight. I also reviewed my photos from the marathon and I ran with knock knees the whole time.
So I my form is off. My knees were like like I was running like this.
>> If you watch on YouTube, you just saw that.
>> I'm not joking. I was like, "No wonder.
>> You got to watch on YouTube to see what she just did."
>> No wonder my legs are bothering me. My like calves like fly out to the side.
>> Knees. Is that a thing?
>> Like Yeah. Like that's like not the right way standing here. Some like it's completely incorrect. Yeah, I know. So now I'm I'm just worried about I did like my first I I did like a virtual urgent care call.
>> Virtual urgent care call. What is that?
>> Because I need a referral to get the X-ray. I can't show up at the X-ray place. That's how my insurance works. So I was like, "Okay, I'll just do the virtual one cuz it's like easy." And then he just gives me the referral right away. Like it was like with a stranger.
He was like >> I told him I was like just ran my first marathon like you know did all this stuff and he's like can I see your foot?
So >> no.
>> Yeah. I did the call on my phone luckily. But I was like, you can't really see anything. Like it's looks normal.
>> He was probably looking to see if anything was like swollen or something.
>> Yeah. I was like, it's not swollen. Like that's why I don't really know. Anyways, there's a million things that it could be. I've never done physical therapy.
Have you ever done physical therapy?
>> No.
>> Like that's like real athlete.
>> Is that what you would have to do for >> I think if you really want to like and I'm not trying to like prep for another marathon tomorrow. I just like >> the the idea of like normaly and good day. Like if you tell me I can't work out for 4 to 6 weeks, that actually will affect me at this point in my life.
>> That will definitely affect you. I'm also thinking about all these weddings you have to go to and the heels >> and a boot. No, I literally have to wear a heel this weekend. I don't know what I'm going to do. So stay tuned on that.
>> You just wear flats.
>> You the dress might be long enough.
Yeah, that is hidden.
>> Or like a little baby baby.
>> Yeah, I mean I'm definitely not supposed to. So anyways, that's where I'm at. You know, things were going a little too smoothly postathon for me. I was like everything's great.
>> Everything was lining up too much. It really was. And I'm like, you know, I guess I'll just get this taken care of today when I have the time.
>> But also knowing you, like you air on the side of caution.
>> I do. You're right.
>> So maybe it's nothing.
>> No, you're so right.
>> And maybe it's like it just needs to heal. I mean, I've had times where my foot hurts for like random reasons and specific point in the foot.
>> Yeah, usually it's at the top of the foot. Has that is that at the top of your foot?
>> Not really. It's kind of like the side like the outer edge underneath >> on the right side or the left side.
>> The right. So like the outer side it could be your arches just hurting but >> you know I hope it is.
>> I do too. I really hope you don't have to wear a boot.
>> No, that's like embarrassing.
>> Be a fun like bit though. Like >> no like to me it's like it's not embarrassing but like to me I'm like you know showing up to a wedding with a boot like like I I feel like I'm like seeking attention like that's what I'm saying.
Like it's like oh >> oh and what did you do? It's like ran a half marathon like he has stress fracture.
>> Oh my god. Wow. So, you have to like go and do the whole thing.
>> Apparently, it's quick. I don't know.
I've never really like >> No, of course.
>> I think when I broke my wrist, I I think I got an X-ray for that.
>> Yeah, >> I must have.
>> You just put your right foot in your right foot. Yeah. No. So, that's where I'm at. I'm so sorry to hear that.
>> No. So, that was like feeling a little off, you know? Feeling a little off. I also just am having like an ugly week.
Haven't had one in a minute.
>> Oh my god. An ugly week.
>> Are Are you feeling that, too?
>> Oh my god. Like I can't like I'm trying to vlog this week and I'm like oh like I can't look at myself.
>> I think you look great by the way but I >> you too. But it's okay to feel that way.
>> Like haven't had skin issues in a while like randomly you know.
>> Oh yeah. My I got a facial too but like my skin's just like really nice and red and my hair is not doing it for me this week. Can't Right. Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. No, I know. I'm I'm tracking it up to me being in my ludal phase. Oh, is that what >> that's what they say about your ludal phase. You like feel ugly. You you're bloated like you just gross.
>> Is that right before your period or after?
>> Right before you get it.
>> Oh, I don't know.
>> Oh, >> I am right about to get my period. So, I guess so.
>> Oh, I was like tracking the phases and stuff. Yeah, cuz you're still have birth. So, you're like pretty regular then like with the or No, it doesn't work that way.
>> Oh my god, I actually have a funny story.
>> Oh gosh.
>> I could say it. Whatever. Um, obviously I've been home a lot with my dad and I feel like my dad and I have just gotten like a lot closer and we'll just like talk about really anything now. And I don't know why it came up. I couldn't tell you, but we're talking about birth control.
>> And my dad, we're just sitting there talking with other people. My dad straight up goes, "Wait, yeah, are you still not on birth control?" And I was like, "Yeah." He's like, "So, what are you doing instead?" And I literally wanted to crawl in my skin.
>> Were you around other people?
>> My mom and my aunt. And my mom goes, "Fred, you know, the good oldfashioned way or I don't even know what she said.
I literally wanted to die."
>> Oh my god.
Dad, like, and my mom goes, "You know, the good old Oh."
>> Oh my gosh. That's really funny. But it is what everybody's wondering though.
Like he's That's like my intrusive thought. Like, but I wouldn't ask it in the group setting cuz it's funny that your dad. No, it's your dad. I know.
>> Oh my god. He cuz I think he's just like, "Fuck it. Whatever. I'll say whatever I want right now." Like, "Oh my god." But he also sees it like more medical, you know, >> for sure. And we've talked about this before everything too, but like he was just like by the way.
>> Yeah. He's like, while we're talking about it, like what have you like, okay, next question. Like >> that's really funny. Drink your water.
Like I'm taking care of it.
>> Yep. Taking care of it.
>> It's handled.
>> Oh. Um, a little update. I mean, it's been a while now, but we've just had so much to talk about on the podcast. You already I mean I posted about it, but the Aritzia personal styling appointment was truly everything. It's chocked up to be >> obsessed.
>> So fun. I went to the same stylist that Brooke did cuz we both went to the Aritzia in Soho. But like I just I and I knew I was going to love it. But it was amazing.
>> It's I I've never experienced something quite like that before.
>> Yeah. Like getting there and they have clothes picked out for you. My whole outfit is Aritzia like the top and the And she was like and I'm sure you too.
She was like, you know, you can wear this jacket and it pairs with this and this. This top goes with these pants.
Like everything at Aritzia really is meant to be like this capsule collection. And it just opened my eyes to like my own closet, too. Like, oh, that actually does go with that.
>> Yes. I They have a different like look on things. I feel like Yeah. Because I would never like some of the pants at Aritzia, I'm like, I don't know how to style this and then they just come up with the best combos and you're like, it makes so much sense.
>> It really makes so much sense. So, I just I feel like we've talked about it so much. I was so curious about Brook's experience, so I had to come on here and tell you guys, you need to book an Aritzia personal shopping appointment.
It's free and then you just >> option to buy anything that they I don't even think there's a minimum of like what you have to buy.
>> There's I mean wanting to like Yeah. You know, I was like, "Oh, we'll see what I really need and then you know, you try on the best t-shirt of your life and you're like, I mean, I need it because it's also like flattering." It helped get a lot of new basics and that was good.
>> Yeah, like new basics. I found my new favorite pair of a gold day jeans. would have thought. And so it was great. So I'm really really happy I did it. It was really funny. I don't Did they do this for you? They like walked me out of the store. I had so many bags.
>> Oh, no I didn't.
>> They're like, "We'll escort you out."
>> No, I didn't get to walk out. No. No. I did get asked if I wanted a glass of wine at like 3 p.m. I was like, >> I am all set. I think >> I am.
>> I'll spend even more money.
>> Yeah. And also like >> Did you get a coffee?
>> I did a latte. That was fun.
>> Yeah. Because is the coffee shop free if you shop there?
>> I think so. Oh, that's pretty cool. It's pretty good, too.
>> It was pretty good. And there are these cute little cups. Like, I'm We're not being sponsored to say this right now. I just think it's so fun.
>> It's It just is a great place. Yeah, >> it's a great place. Like, I I have so many outfits for Japan now. I feel like I I'm tempted to go back again for Japan, but no, I'll just use what I have.
>> You can mix and match with, you know, pieces. You're only going for a week, so you Yeah, like that's not >> Yeah, it's been fun like seeing that that brand trip that happened a couple weeks ago. the girls in Korea like seeing what they were wearing, stuff like that, you know.
>> Yes. Yes. To get the style and everything. Oh, my mom is now like obsessed with Clara. Clara purse.
>> Oh, was that a new new >> Do you remember when my mom was meeting Clara in Cape Cod? Clara is like I'm nervous because your mom like loves Brooke and Katie. She's like always DMing them. I was like, I promise like once my mom meets you, >> yes, she's in.
>> You're in. Like she's in your DMs. She responds to everything. They can attest.
And it took a little minute, but now, yes, my mom is replying to all of her things. My mom sent me a text yesterday wearing a face mask inspired by Clara.
I'm like, I wear face masks.
>> Yeah, you're like, Clara invented face masks.
>> Okay, Clara, but she's like, I'm just I loved Clara's Korea content. Like, I'm just obsessed. So, she has a new obsession now, which is Clara.
>> Oh, that's so great.
>> I mean, I get it. We're all obsessed with Clara.
>> No, of course. Of course. I mean, her content right now is killing it. She like goes on a brand trip and she like goes home like doesn't sleep and like will edit all of her videos right away.
It's amazing.
>> It's amaz I'm like I take all the footage and then I like go home. I'm like, "Oops, forgot to edit."
>> Oops. That would have That would have been good to post.
>> There's like so much lost footage that I have. I I really need to get better about that. Lost the uncovered footage, the files.
>> Brook Mitchio on film 2009.
>> Yeah, there's so much on there. If you go through my phone library, you're like I feel like there's probably like so many >> versions of like Tik Toks and things that I could have made that would have like maybe done well, but I just I missed it in the moment. You know >> what? Like do you have a ton of Japan content still that you want to post like short form stuff or like No.
>> Like not I didn't film any sounds. I didn't save any sounds honestly. I >> I haven't Yeah. What sounds would you do?
>> I mean I could have like I don't film Tik Toks with that and I just don't like it's just not my thing. It's not, you know, we don't.
>> No, I guess I meant more so like trying this fried sandwich or >> but there's like, you know, the just travel ones where you do like that you show either your outfits or you say like um oh like let's go like where should we go? I don't know. Let's get matcha.
Okay. Where like >> where where >> I guess Japan like >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Actually, yeah, that one is really big I suppose. Oh, that's >> there's some that would have made sense.
Clara would have had them all saved, ready to go. Like, yeah, my brain doesn't think that way. I'm I did put together a good vlog. I'll tell you that. Everybody really likes the music like it. So, >> it's a movie. I heard it's a real movie.
>> It And I'm happy about the response on that. So, I'll take it.
>> No, I want to sit on my couch and watch it like with popcorn and like take notes.
>> That just made me like really want popcorn.
>> I know.
>> Yeah. And like a good movie. We Devil War Prada. We need to see.
>> Yeah. Need to see Devil Wars Prada. And there's another movie I'd like to see.
I'll have to get back to you on that.
>> There's another one that people are talking about. Am I wrong? Perhaps I'm wrong.

>> So, >> no, I could.
>> So, that leads us to our topic today.
>> That leads us to our topic today, you guys. We're going to be talking about things that are just we're obsessed with right now. One could say favorites, one could say these are just like a cole. I mean, I have like some really random things. I know you said you do, too. And we never tell each other before because it's fun because I end up like buying half the things that Brooke tells me about.
>> Hey.
>> Hey. So, we're we're here to influence you guys. Things that have been changing our life recently, I would say.
>> Amazing. Let's hop into it. Mine are also really random. And I have a lot of things from Japan cuz >> Oh, wait. That's fun. See, I like that.
>> Yeah. Cool stuff that I got there.
>> She just went to Japan.
>> Yeah, I did.
>> Yeah. Um, I'll start off with these.
They're from Japan. These steam heat eye masks. Um, I will send a picture because the packaging is in um Japanese. So, but it it they're called Meg Rhythm if that helps.
>> So, they're like cotton eye masks. I mean, they're not any like they're disposable.
>> Okay.
>> But somehow when you open them up, they get warm and not hot, but lightly warm.
>> Wow.
>> Yes, they're amazing. I think I've just had a lot of problems recently. I think I had like a light sinus infection maybe last week because I had a lot of like pain in that area like you know in your sinus or it could be allergies >> totally. I had that a couple weeks ago >> where you just feel and then it like translated to headache like I don't really know what was going on. All I know is that like I woke up in the middle of the night with like pain and then I like ripped one of these open and I put it on and like I just if immediately relieved my pain. I like falling asleep with them on. Um they're very >> sleeping mask like that's the shape of them.
>> Yes. So, it is a like a disposable sleeping mask essentially that gets slightly warm. It says 40 degrees Celsius. What is that in Oh, I'm not good. I'm going to run out of them soon, though. So, I really need to figure out where I can purchase you.
>> Oh, hey. Forgot about that.
>> Where'd you get them? At that beauty store that the woman >> um No, no, they sell them. They sell them honestly at uh >> like 7-Eleven. Yeah, those places. The convenience stores or uh Donkey.
>> Oh, so yeah, the place where she tried to sell me the >> the donkey. Yes, the dunk. Yeah, >> try it out. Maybe.
>> Wait, I really That sounds really lovely, honestly. Um, my first one is also so random, but you'll appreciate it. It's the Tranquila Decaf Latte in a can.
>> Oh, yes. Okay, let's talk. Let's hear about these cuz I haven't tried them.
>> Yeah. Well, you I guess you don't drink decaf, but you have like a connection to the company or whatever. But, um, guys, it's so cool. It's literally a latte in a can, just like, you know, they sell a lot of these, but it's decaf. Like, I've never seen that before. And it's really delicious. You can drink it out of the can, which I've done, or I'll put it over ice and put a little hazelnut syrup in it. And it's like I just have a latte. It's so quick. Like, I just love that decaf's getting some love.
>> I guess that's why I'm like really excited. I think they now sell it if you're in New York at Pop Groer. It's in like West Village area. Like, that's just so excit What?
>> Pops.
>> Pops. Pops. Pops. uh said to go to pop ger and I just think it's the coolest thing and I've been really enjoying it.
Like when I go home from the podcast today, I'm going to pour it over ice.
Actually, the other day cuz I've been drinking a lot of like half caffeinated things. I did a normal shot of espresso threw it over my dec >> Yeah, I'm pretty crazy.
>> Yeah, you're getting pretty crazy with it. Will you finish it? Like cuz you finish your coffees. So, >> of course, >> that's impressive.
>> Yeah, for sure. So, um, highly suggest if you drink >> is it like regular milk?
>> It's regular milk.
>> Milk. It's a regular milk.
>> Decaf latte.
>> Decaf latte in a can. So, sometimes I'm like, whoa, this is weird drinking it out of a can. Um, so >> La Colom does it in cans.
>> Yeah, it's literally like a La Colom latte, >> but decaf, >> but decaf. And that just like isn't found a lot. And it's like premium coffee they say. So, I assume it's like really nice whole good beans.
>> Yeah. You're like literally I I heard about this before like they got sent to you and I literally said to to Ben out loud I was like this is made for Danielle like when they're like putting together like their the target demographic like you are the profile like it's like >> addicted to decaf coffee.
>> Yes. No, it's perfect. And I just hope that I hope that Tranquil blows up and then it's sold everywhere because then I'll have decaf wherever I go.
>> Like I'm worried about Japan. Like I don't >> um >> like >> But you would you do like a tea? I mean they're bigger.
>> Oh, of course. Of course I would do a tea, but if I'm like I really want a decaf latte. Like I don't know what that I'm going to have to look it up.
>> You probably can. I I didn't inquire about it. Honestly, it wasn't.
>> Of course. Why would you? Imagine I'm like, "Hey, could you could you ask around?"
>> Yeah.
>> But yeah, that's my first favorite.
>> Love that.
>> Wait, is your phone case Japan?
>> Yes, I got Caseify. I got it in Japan.
Yeah. Isn't that so cute?
>> That is so cute. The vending machine, the cherry blossoms, >> the deer, the n deer. Yes. And then the mountain Mount Fuji.
>> Was this customized for you?
>> I lit we There was a Japan exclusive section in the Case to buy store in Japan.
>> Oh, you went to the Caseify store in Japan?
>> Yes, I got it in Japan.
>> Oh, you bought I thought they like sent it to you for >> No, no, I fully bought this like and then they didn't even give me the discount. They were like, "Oh, if it's your first purchase, you qualify for 10% off." They like put in my email. They're like, "No, you don't >> cuz you've bought before." Yeah.
>> But I just needed a new phone case when I was there. I just I didn't I had a whole thing. I was like, I need a new phone case like now. Like I don't know why.
>> Immediately now like forget the shrines.
I need to get a new phone case.
>> But it was like the last day of the trip that I ended up getting it. The whole trip I was like looking for the perfect one and then I finally found her.
>> Reminders of your trip.
>> Yeah, it's nice.
>> Reminders of her.
>> Hey. And it's like mirrored, too, which you can use it to >> reapply your lipstick, Brooke.
>> Yeah. Which I probably need to do.
>> Oh, I wasn't telling you. I know. But that is the vibe.
>> The lip.
>> Um Okay.
the New York Times games. I've been like playing them. I play them before bed.
The MIDI crossword puzzle. Okay. So, I started doing the mini every day, which it literally takes you like under a minute, like two minutes, like cuz it's just like a few words and like it's fun to see how fast you can do it.
>> But then you're kind of craving a little bit more >> little mini skirt.
>> Yeah. And then I I don't know. I've been into crossword puzzles. They they make you think, but also the New York Times ones, they're kind of like pop culture adjacent. Like it's relevant. Like it's not things that I'm like, you know, some of them are a little challenging, but most, you know, some of them I can get.
Um, and the midi is the perfect size between like the full and the mini. They came out with the midi.
>> Do you ever like not know an answer to one of them?
>> Oh, of course. Yeah.
>> What do you do?
>> I mean, I skip and I try to figure out like the other way.
>> Oh, okay. Oh, like by filling it in with other words.
>> Yes. But then if I really don't know, I'll put like the checker on on the top and that will tell you like what letters are wrong. And that's kind of like a good reset point if I'm like way off.
You know what I'm saying?
>> Yeah.
>> Some days are harder than others. Like some I'm like, "Wow, this is who's this made for 10 year olds." So then then like the next day I'll like be so stuck on it.
>> And do you always do it at the same time of day?
>> I do it before bed usually.
>> Before bed.
>> I'm on my phone. I don't want to be like texting, but I like I'm like, "Oh, I could."
>> No. Like I love to hear that because if you were going to say like I don't do any I don't check social media in the morning. I go straight to my game. might be like, "You're lying. There's no way."
>> I immediately go on social media.
>> Like, there's literally no way.
>> Yeah. I haven't stuck to the brick.
Maybe I should break that back.
>> Well, cuz like Needle Point became my brick, but then I >> That's true. Cuz you're If you guys don't know, bricks are um they like stop you from going on social media. They're like physical things that Brooke has been using.
>> Yeah. Katie really is of it. Yeah. that would lock you out in the morning because you have to physically like unsc phone and it says a random object that you have to go and take a picture of in order to stop it. So like the other day hers was spoon. So she had to literally get up, go take a picture of a spoon. So then you're up.
>> Oh my god, that's like a whole scavenger hunt that I feel like that like raises your cortisol though. Like not not that I'm mindful of that, but I feel like you wake up and it's like hurry, you have a task. Like >> not that I'm mindful of that.
>> I'm not mindful of that literally at all. Like but that to me is like a wake up with a task, you know?
>> Yeah. No, I know.
>> I understand the concept though.
>> Some people though, >> they need it >> like a really heavy sleeper you're talking about. Do you know like is Ryan a really heavy sleeper? Do you know really heavy sleepers? No, but I feel like I hear about it. Like Margot Austri, oh my god. On the last night of stage coach, we like didn't post about anything, but she actually slept over at the T-Mobile house.
>> Oh, that's fun.
>> She stayed the night with me cuz like everyone else in her house left early. I felt so bad, so I was like, "Come on over." They all had their reasons to leave, don't get me wrong.
>> Um, so her alarm the next morning, thank God, I'd already woken up was I'm like, "Oh, so you're one of those."
>> And she was sleeping through it.
>> No, she she she woke up, but I assume she has it like that because others didn't work for her. I I actually didn't ask.
>> That's a last resort alarm.
>> Yeah. But I'm I I think I need to bring back the Mel Robbins 5-second theory to get out of bed cuz I've not been wanting to get out of bed.
>> Oh, and you just lay there like Yeah.
>> Yeah. No, Ryan has this joke with me where now he only sees me in my pajamas.
But in the morning, I'm I literally stay in bed until like he's about to get up and then he gets back and I I feel like you do the same thing. As soon as I get home, I shower, take off my makeup, I'm in my pajamas again.
>> Yeah. Or like loungewear. It's not necessarily like a matching PJ set, but like Yes. But he claims them pajamas and he's like I you know I never see you like not in pajamas. I'm like that is so sad. I swear I was like all dressed up today.
>> That's so funny. You're like I was showing proof. You're like no this is every today.
>> No literally I'll be like look what I filmed today. Look what I did.
>> That's really funny. I I definitely have those days too when Ben like lives a whole day and then like comes back and I'm like definitely and sometimes I'm in the same pair of like clothes.
>> Yeah. Sometimes maybe I didn't leave.
Maybe I didn't. And when they catch you like do like I'm like you caught me at the one second that like I was slacking off like watching a YouTube video or something you know and he's like oh so you just been watching YouTube videos all day.
>> No, I know. It's like no I was just sitting on my I sat on my bed to to respond to one text and then I went on to Tik Tok and I am >> Oh, I know. Oh my god. I literally love this so much and I'm making this a favorite cuz I made sure to check that this is still available because it was a collab. Corporate Natalie did a collaboration with Reduce. We both got there. It's like a ton of different water bottles, mugs. One of them I am so obsessed with. It's called the halo because it it's just like a tumbler, but it has like a circle that you can put it on your wrist.
>> Oh, I didn't even know that.
>> You probably didn't even realize that's what it was, but Oh my gosh. Walking to the gym or literally walking around our apartment, I just I've got a little bracelet on with my water bottle.
>> Stop. You walk around your apartment with it.
>> Yeah. Sometimes I'm like now we have to go to the other room, you know? I I love it. But it's usually for when I'm walking to a workout and I just I'm so lazy. I don't want to hold anything. So, it's it just hangs on my arm and it's it's great. And I have the checkered one. That's her collab. But then I looked and they have a yellow one, a blue one. Like they've got >> I might need to get another one.
>> They're so cute.
>> How many water bottle cabinets?
>> No, that's the thing. I You definitely have more water bottles than me. I just like feel it.
>> I have a hard time parting with them.
>> I know. You do.
>> Yeah. I'm like, what if I want that?
>> What if I need that special edition like Starbucks? You know, that was rare. It was there was there. No, I I know. I knew I knew this about you, >> but yeah. So, reduce, >> but I use the same >> recycle.
>> Um, my Louise Carmen roadbook notebook.
Um, so this is my notebook that I got like top of the year. I was like, I'm becoming a notebook person cuz I love a list. That's like how I work. And it just is the perfect size. It just it's made to be like a little worn. And it's basically like you you buy the leather part. That's kind of like what the notebook is and then everything else is like inserts for it.
>> That's so fun. And like customizable.
>> Yes. And it's so great. The road book is the size that I have. I I think I have like videos like showing size comparisons cuz I have like a bigger one too. But >> I I just love it. It fits like every time I'm traveling I just am like I know that I have like this one thing with me and it has like all of my information.
Is it like to-do lists or like Yeah, >> every day I do like a to-do list and then if I and then I have like running lists in there, too. Like if I just like think of something that I'm like, "Oh shoot, like I should do that like in two weeks or something." I mean, I don't really refer back to it if I'm being honest, but you know, >> but hey, it's there.
>> Yeah, there is a longer list somewhere in there.
>> That's so That's really wholesome. It actually is. Yeah. I haven't been like journaling in it or anything like that, but you know, maybe something.
>> Yeah, journaling is so like personal and like scares me that someone could just pick up a book and it's my journal.
>> I I though I haven't done that in a really really long time.
>> Yeah. Oh yeah, I guess you used to. I actually used to too.
>> Only when I was going through it.
>> Yeah, it's it's always only when you're like really >> down bad. I've never journaled and been happy.
>> Yeah. No, like I love life today or I love life today. I also just I think you I hate >> like I I like writing paper to-do list, but I hate writing things. Like I don't like writing letters. I don't like >> Yeah, I I agree.
>> I love a handwritten birthday card, but if it were up to me, we'd all just type them and print them out. Like >> I know I know people um at these weddings I'm going to they love and I love it. I think it's so nice to give everybody a handwritten note.
>> It's really >> like every couple or whoever like >> I totally agree. And I'm like oh my god they sat there and did that all.
>> No. And that was a job. My gosh >> that's a job. And then they usually send like thank you cards. Like it's just a lot.
>> There's a lot of handwriting.
>> It's a lot of handwriting. I don't really like to handw write but that is very I do like to handw write to-do lists and I know you're the same way.
Because it's the physical crossoff for me that >> cross off lock jaw.
>> I did that.
>> Yeah, I did it. I didn't just watch YouTube all day. I did it.
>> Yeah. Look, Ben, look at all these crossoffs.
>> Um my next item is the Revlon Versa Styler. I couldn't not put it on with just with all the travel and stuff. It is just the best. Brooke has one, too.
It is amazing because it's like it's kind of like your Dyson vibe, >> but there are no attachments. So you just have it looks like a round brush.
It blows air like from one specific section. So it's really like a blowd dryer and then it blows air all around like a a blow dryer brush and then option to heat it and it's a heated round brush.
>> That's sick. I just I can't believe we're just now getting this and I'm very grateful to Revlon for it. It's like now when I pack I literally put that in in a curling iron.
>> Boom done.
>> Boom.
>> Perfect.
>> I know it's available at Walmart. I I'm wanting to get on Amazon.
>> Oh, it's not on Amazon.
>> I think I think it's just on Walmart right now, but Walmart ships really fast, actually.
>> They do.
>> So, >> a little hack for you.
>> A little hack.
>> Yeah.
>> What's your next one?
>> Um, just matcha matcha lattes in general, but I have the full setup now.
>> Oh, the post Japan.
>> Yes. So, in Japan, we got the whisk and the actual like matcha itself. This one place at Pudo Tea, I think you can order from them online. That was like a very like, you know, real high quality matcha. Okay. if anyone's looking for a place, but there's so many there are, you know, good places.
>> Um, >> but when I was there, I noticed like I would look at the not the coffee shops, the tea houses and see how people were like making them. They all had a scale cuz they do it in like weight ratios, not in like you do you don't just do like one scoop of matcha like you do it like in weight.
>> So, I got like a scale.
>> Oh my god.
>> Yeah. No, I I'm we're on like the next level. I learned how to whisk it properly. So, >> the the exact water temperature.
>> It's a nice process. It's basically people are going to be like, "No, it's different." But like to me, it's the equivalent of making an espresso shot, but it's matcha. Cuz then I pour it over milk and it acts the same way as an espresso shot would.
>> It's like doing a latte. Yes.
>> You just have one specific thing.
>> I mean, it is a matcha latte. That's what it is.
>> It's a matcha. It is latte.
>> But like the same amount of liquid. Like I'm like, "Oh, yeah. That's literally a shot."
>> Yeah. A shot. And then do you add sweetener?
>> Yeah. I've been doing maple syrup.
>> A maple matcha. latte.
>> Yeah, it it's a good sweetener. It's a you know, old reliable.
>> Yeah.
>> What do you like if you had to use a sweetener like you wouldn't? What would you >> um No, I I don't drink matcha really.
So, I was just wondering No, I put hazelnut. I'm like a hazelnut. Can you have hazelnut?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. I'm addicted. Or vanilla.
>> Like a pump of the flavor. Yeah.
>> Yeah. A pump. Yeah. I've never I've I've done like a maple, cinnamon latte, honey. Those are good, too.
>> But at home, I just do a good old pumpa.
Do Smash Kitchen. They just can't, you know, Glenn Pal snack brand that like apparently like, you know, they don't use dyes or whatever. Like I don't I don't really know. Like I mean, yeah, they don't.
>> Yep. Apparently they >> But the chips taste just as good as normal chips. So like whatever. But they just came out with they're the chips that I had that night.
>> Oh yeah, I had them. They were >> You were like, "What are these chips?"
>> Yes. Oh my gosh, Glenn.
>> They just came out with syrups >> like um coffee syrups.
>> Yeah. Like so caramel and a chocolate.
You could use it for whatever you want, but I just thought that you would like that because they're like, you know, >> that's really cool. So, it's definitely good ingredients.
>> Yes, it's just cleaner ingredients.
>> Does that feel random with everything else or no? Cuz they do sauces or ketchup.
>> Yeah, they started with I think sauces and then they started doing chips and I I feel like they're just going to take over your entire pantry. Am I right?
Like, >> am I right?
>> Is Smash Kitchen coming to a pantry new year?
>> So interesting because whenever I hear Smash Kitchen, I think of like a smash burger.
>> Of course. No, the name >> could use some >> It should be Glenn's Kitchen. I'm like, I'll have what Glenn's having.
>> Yeah, Glenn.
>> I'll have what Glenn's having.
>> That's really funny.
>> That's really No, I I think you can use them for anything and like those type of syrups. It was like, make chocolate milk, put it in your coffee, whatever.
>> Oh my god. A chalky milk with the freaking syrup. I feel like Ben would like that.
>> Yeah. No, it stayed. You know, so sometimes PR gets processed and gets put in like the donation pile. that those two stayed. That stayed. I know exactly what you mean.
>> Sometimes I just feel like makeup is working against my skin. All right. Like I'm doing the most I'm doing my like amazing skincare and then like I just am kind of like negating all of that by using like makeup that is like not good for my pores and it's just like it's not wearing right on my skin. And that's why I'm so happy that I discovered OG. It's a certified organic beauty brand that truly performs like luxury makeup, but it's like skin focused. It's skin first.
Let's just say it. Okay. Most makeup is 80 to 90% pigment and filler, but OG's Crystal Contour Collection flips that.
It's actually nearly 90% skinare ingredients. So, you've got like the green coffee oil, the cold pressed Hoba ingredients that I would spend real money on in serious skincare, and they just happen to like be in your blush.
How amazing is that? I feel like shopping in the clean beauty section is like something really popular. People are doing that. But like clean really, it's kind of like a vague term. It kind of like means nothing. But OG is NSF certified organic, which is one of the most rigorous standards in the beauty industry. Every product is also made without synthetic fragrance, artificial fillers, or unnecessary additives. The fragrance I can't do fragrance in anything that's touching my face because my skin just reacts crazy. I have really sensitive skin, so I'm all about this.
This really just it it builds into your routine. It's so easy. If you're one of those like no makeup, like more natural typeies, this is amazing for you. Also, I just love it for those days when I like don't, you know, I'm like running errands and stuff, but like I don't want to have like a full beat, you know? I love that they have three sticks.
They've got the copper that's like really warm. The rose quartz is going to give you that nice flush. And but I also I just always love a glow. So, you do that oval bowl for the glow. You could literally do your whole face in 5 minutes, honestly, in like 3 minutes.
And just it makes you look like you're like literally glowing from within. Like you're just having like the best skin day ever. Like your face is just naturally snatched. Uh these blend like a dream. And honestly, if you're investing so much money in your skincare, like I feel like I want, you know, to have that amazing makeup that sort of like pairs with it and lets my skin shine. I've worked hard on this skin. Okay, so if you're ready to raise your beauty standards, OG's got you covered. Go to og.com/gals onthego and use code gals on the go for 20% off. >> Oh my goodness. I really want to influence you on this because I am obsessed. I got a Mason robe.
>> Okay. And I love it >> from regular just online. Mason.
>> Yeah, online. They have it on like Revolve forward stuff like that. But you guys obviously know the Mason print is gorgeous. I actually remember Bridget Acquired Style had a Mason robe like a year or two ago and I was like, "Oh, that's cool. They do robes." So then I just went myself this past year and looked and they on the Mason website, they have so many options, so many prints. They have long, they have short.
I got a short for the summer. We'll see.
But I am I just it's so happy and colorful. You guys know my apartment's very not colorful, but it brings the color. I wear the color. It has a hood.
I literally think I got a large or an XL, so I'm just like >> buried in. And I I just I love it. It makes me really happy. Do you have like a robe you're wearing right now?
>> I have a constant robe rotation.
>> Yeah, I figured.
>> I have literally like five on the back of my doors. Like I've got >> Yeah.
>> Yeah. You've got your lineup. Well, when you have an opening, >> right now we're fully stocked.
>> Fully stocked, but you should get them a Sony robe.
>> It looks like it fits similar, I'm sure, more high quality that to my Poppy robe, but I I see the fit.
>> It's like the Poppy robe. And I actually really I used that one for a long time, but then I got it so dirty. Even the wash was like done. But it's very like the Poppy robe.
>> That's what No, I have the Poppy Dupe.
>> Hey, Poppy's Poppy merch I would assume is pretty hard to come by.
>> No, they they crush it. Like honestly, >> they they definitely like don't cheap out. Like they go to like good manufacturers I feel like for their stuff because it's like always really like thick quality.
>> The sweat I still have a Poppy sweat set or two of them cuz I'm like I'm not getting rid of those. They're amazing.
>> Yeah.
>> What's your next one?
>> Um my vibration plate. I'm still using it.
>> I literally thought you were about to say something else.
>> No >> vibration plate.
>> No. Uh that's my favorite vibrating tool. Uh is my vibration plate. Um I love it. You know, I think that I was nervous it was just going to be a fat because, you know, I get obsessed with things and I was like, "Okay, I'm gonna get this thing and like use it twice."
But like, >> why not just use it? Like, if I'm just standing around or something, like I'm like, "I might as well just get on this thing." It feels really good to stretch on it.
>> Well, now I'm injured, so I don't know if I can do that anymore.
>> The self diagnosed stress, putting stress on the fracture.
>> Um, but it just I I just feel good on it. I don't know if it's actually I I do think that it helps me go to the bathroom. Yeah, >> whatever. Move things along after the morning. Coffee or matcha >> course or matcha?
>> You know, >> that's matcha to you.
>> That's matcha to you.
>> That's matcha mornings to you. Will you have a coffee in the afternoon? Like >> I have no schedule. I have no schedule.
Today I went to Duncan. I've started like I became obsessed with like a Duncan order that the coffee is probably a thousand calories. I'm not even joking. Like I just like it's like the Oreo like something. I saw it and I was like, "Yeah, I'm going to get that."
>> An Oreo coffee. That's awesome. It's an iced coffee with three pumps of chocolate cookie syrup and then marshmallow foam topping.
>> I've gotten it like three days in a row now. No, I have a problem.
>> Breakfast.
>> Yeah. And that literally is my breakfast. But I get it in the $6 meal deal because it's cheaper to get it in the meal deal than it is to get it on its own. No, I'm psychotic. Like >> it's the meal deal. Do you get a meal with it?
>> You get an egg and cheese and if you want bacon sandwich and you get >> I love I actually love their breakfast sandwiches.
>> Yeah, they >> Oh, and the hash browns. They do hit pretty good.
>> They hit really good. Hit really well. I don't know. Wow, that's funny. So today, no matcha. Then you had the Duncan.
>> Yeah.
>> Or maybe option to do matcha later.
>> The same like you're doing the same thing every day, >> I get. Well, not the same thing, but yeah. The first thing I have is a hot cup of coffee with cream. And then my second coffee of the day is an iced latte with hazelnut typically.
>> And that could be your uh what's the canned brand again?
>> It could be my Tranquility Cafe latte, which I'm going to do after this. I'm going to do it.
>> A little tranquility moment.
>> Yeah.
tranquil. But no, decaf still gets me buzzed. Um, we'll love that.
>> What are you loving? What else >> that you just went, right?
>> Yeah, a vibration plate.
>> Um, Miss Alex Earl has created a a lovely cleansing balm.
>> Did you get sent that?
>> I did, but I trust me, I was on like the fourth list.
>> I didn't need >> I did not get sent it.
>> I didn't get the suitcase. I didn't get even the box. I just got the products.
>> No, the suitcase was tier one.
>> Yeah, that was tier one of the PR sendout. And then tier two, they had like a mailer.
>> You're a mailer.
>> And you So you just got the product in a box.
>> I got the products in a box. No, from Alex.
>> I I got nothing. So, you know, that's better than me. Um and you know, my skin is struggling if anybody's listening.
>> Real activives.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, we had Dr. Meon on our podcast forever ago. Could we talk about that?
>> That we actually should talk about that.
>> Yeah.
>> We Dr. Mean, who's the dermatologist that Alex collaborated with, she's been on Gals on the Go, and I think I still follow her.
>> No, same. It was to be completely honest, it was a partnership with another skincare brand at the time. I mean, it was many years ago.
>> She taught us a lot. I remember.
>> Yeah. No, and it was just like she was just coming on just to educate and I think she sticks to her word though on like the products, the type of products she recommends and stuff. So, >> I saw someone like say that they had like a customer service issue or they were like, "Oh, like I I think I'm breaking out from this." And Dr. Meon personally called her.
>> Wow.
>> Like apparently their customer service is insane.
>> That's amazing.
>> Isn't that crazy? You should be able to keep up with that.
>> I know. She's a running a hotline like >> keeping up with real activives. My gosh.
Well, the cleansing bomb is great. Um I've definitely used a similar product to this from other brands where it's like, you know, you uh >> Yeah, you I don't know how you get the product out by like twisting and then it comes up. So, it's very like clean. Um but I really like it and I I just feel like Alex Earl at the end of the night when I'm like taking off my makeup. I feel like I'm Alex Earl after Dancing with the Stars, taking off.
>> Is it scented?
>> No.
>> I do that. Is it does it make your vision a little blurry still?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah.
>> I haven't found one that >> That's so funny. I thought that was just like a me thing. No one's ever said that out loud.
>> No, they Yeah, definitely.
>> You're in the shower, too, and you're like, "Where's my shampoo?"
>> Yeah. Yeah. That's why I like kind of stepped away from cleansing bombs, honestly.
>> What do you do?
>> I've been using um >> like a wipe.
>> Bioderma. Is that what it is? Yeah.
That's for my eyes. And then for my face, I just double cleanse.
>> Yeah. Like I'll use you like a gel cleanser then maybe like a foam cleanser after or something like I don't know because I usually do in the shower. I washing my face in the shower is like where it's at.
>> It's like all I do now >> if I'm in the sink it's like >> it's >> it's a war zone. If you wash your No, it's it's shower now. And you know what?
You're all lucky. So now I shower even more because we're you know because we wash our face in the shower.
>> Do you wash your face in the morning too though?
>> No.
>> Yeah. I was going to say you're not I don't think you're supposed to.
>> Not supposed to. You just like splash a little water. I don't even do that. I do use like a pad a lot of times. Like a you know little pad.
>> Yeah.
>> The moist ones.
>> Yeah.
>> Moist. Moist. Moist. Moist. Moist. That word literally doesn't bother me.
>> No, it doesn't bother me either.
>> Such like a 12-year-old thing.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. What next for you? Oh, so yeah, the Reactives cleansing box.
>> I want to try it.
>> Isn't it like sold out though? Like it's impossible to get >> or no? Is it not anymore? Well, let me know cuz I have extra because what I did was I bought it myself.
>> It sold out in like two minute. Were you on it for the drop? Like >> No, I think I did buy it that day but not So I bought it myself and then they sent me some like a week ago.
>> About a week ago. So I literally Oh, I think I did save the extra cleansing balm for myself, but I would give it to you.
>> Oh, I would try any of the other products, too.
>> Oh, yeah. I have all the other things. I just saved the cleansing balm for myself.
>> The acids or whatever.
>> Oh, yeah. The mandela. I haven't tried the mandelic acid yet cuz I I have another one I use.
>> Oh, >> sometimes.
>> I don't I don't even know what my skin needs right now. I >> No, literally I don't know what you got for me.
>> Okay. The MPH underpainting palette. Do you know this? This is Mary.
>> Oh, yeah. Yeah.
>> Have you tried it?
>> I used it last summer a lot and I just You're reminding me about it.
>> Really?
>> Do you underpaint?
>> Wait, has it been out that long?
>> Yeah.
>> Wow. I I guess I missed missed the first wave of that as well. Um, like no, I don't always underpaint, but like I just like the tones of it like for using as bronzer and then like using >> concealer stuff. Did you get the brush too? And >> I did not get the brush. I have really good brushes right now from House Labs.
They have incredible shapes of their brushes. Like they're really >> If you ever need new makeup brushes, just know that they Yeah.
>> Just holler.
>> I have underpainted though. I don't know if I like >> Yeah, I haven't done underpainting in a while. I think your skin has to be perfect for it, like ready for it that day.
>> The times I've tried it just looks too heavy.
>> Actually, I think what the problem is you have to be using a light foundation and I don't use a light foundation. Do you like a like a thin like not too >> if I'm wearing like today I'm actually not really wearing full foundation cuz my skin is just >> it was just bothering me. But I I used like um what the Bare Minerals like foundation stick but it's like a light nice and creamy blends around. But like if I'm using House Labs, which that's a thick foundation. That's that's my foundation of choice.
>> That's your big daddy foundation.
>> Like that's my wedding foundation.
>> Yeah, I know what you mean.
>> With underpainting like it's giving >> like you're wearing make >> you know what you >> like I don't even not on you but like if you use the big daddy foundation like I don't even agree.
>> So I think that's why I stopped honestly. But it's a great palette.
>> Yeah. And like who cares how you use it, right?
>> Yeah. Literally who cares? It's for contouring regardless. The tones are really nice. And I mean, uh, what's her name? Mary Phillips is an amazing makeup artist, so I would trust anything. I want I want to try her foundation, actually.
>> Foundation.
>> Foundation.
>> Um, next up, fake flowers. Faux flowers.
They're great.
>> Okay.
>> Love getting real flowers from Ryan, of course. But I got some faux hydrangeas.
I actually know Wayfair has a lot of pretty faux flowers. It just like if you can find a really good faux flower bouquet, it really elevates a space and then you just don't worry. Especially hydrangeas specifically cuz they just die so quickly. So I've been loving I got faux hydrangeas at my room in Florida and they just make me so happy every time and they look so real to me.
So >> yeah, I feel like you have to get if you get good ones then they they look good.
For some reason, like my brain always goes to like like a craft store and like seeing like the fake looking ones, but I know that there are good-looking ones.
>> There are really good-looking ones. And I just think that they really elevate the space. So, if I had a house, they'd be it'd be full of lots of fake flowers.
>> Yeah. I God, I love having fresh flowers, but they really like that's a job.
>> Yeah. No, I >> you change the water like every day if you really want to keep them fresh.
>> I know. Cuz then the leaves fall in the water and get like smelly almost. And I feel like if you have like like you make that nice flower arrangement, like you're like, "Okay, I want to like keep it nice." So then you're like, you know, you have to keep up with it. But don't like >> it's a lot of work.
>> Yeah, it's worth it, I think, if you're like having people over and stuff, but like for and I will pick them up when I go to the grocery store, but I'm not like filling every room with flowers on just like a normal daily basis because it's just >> No, no, no. And nothing's better than receiving flowers, obviously.
>> Oh my gosh. Of course.
>> Or picking them up at the grocery store when you're there. But for like daytoday, like I've been traveling so much and stuff, I'm not focused on that.
So, I don't know.
>> No, I completely.
>> What's next for you? Understand that.
Um, okay. The Gold Bond Age Renew Retinol overnight. Won't talk about a name. Body and face lotion. But I only use it on the body.
>> That's a mouthful.
>> Yeah. Um, found this on Tik Tok. I just needed like a good body lotion that I I feel like >> I could slather it up, put it everywhere. Good pump.
>> Is it a pump? I was going to say it's >> I don't need it to be too expensive cuz honestly like I go through pretty quick.
Like if you're using like a body lotion really all over your body all the time like I go I'm going through that.
>> Oh my god. Absolutely. No, I literally I'm using like a Jurgens one with a big pump right now. Like I just need >> it's and it's hitting >> and it's hitting. It smells so good.
Like I know what you mean. Like you don't need to spend a lot of money on a body lotion >> unless it's like body oil maybe I would.
>> Yeah. I don't know.
>> And I I like nice one. Like I like the necessary one. Like I definitely do, but but I feel like you you don't have like it's un you know you can get the >> option to get the gold.
>> Yes. And it dries um pretty quickly. So I feel like that's >> that's really important.
>> Yeah. I don't know if it's actually doing like retinol. I'll let you know on that. But >> yeah, that's cool that it has that in it.
>> Yeah. Whenever things say face and body kind of throws me through a loop though, you know, like I'm like, >> "Oh, is this face and body?"
>> That's what it says on the packaging, but I I only do body. Like I'm not but but it's giving three in one like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, which I don't like. I'm like, pick a lane. Like you could, you know, >> you can just be body. It's okay. No one's going to get you in trouble.
>> No, I didn't I didn't catch the face and body. That would make me uncomfortable.
>> Like I'm never putting body lotion on my face, so it feels weird.
>> And face lotion I don't want to put on my body cuz it's too expensive. Like it's like nice, right? So you're like I'm not going to waste this on my legs.
Like that's >> Every now and then on vacation maybe you'll do this too. If you're out of regular lotion, I'll like use my face lotion. I'm like, "Oh, >> yeah.
>> This is so sad." Like using my road on like my kneecap, I'm like >> elastic. Even when I like start working it down onto like my neck and I'm like, "Okay, I'll stop there."
>> Okay, don't get excited now. Epidermis like >> lol.
>> Getting crazy.
>> Getting crazy. Um, okay. Actually, speaking of makeup wipes and taking off your makeup, another thing I wrote down, you probably see a ton of Tik Tok shop ads for this. The clean sheets by 4 a.m. Skin.
>> Yeah, there. How much are they paying for these ads? Cuz I I get served them a lot. And you know what? Maybe you're the last step. Like you were sent you were sent to >> I I have purchased them so many times.
Now you're like, "Okay, Danielle, you said you wash your face in the shower."
>> Yeah. But every now and then, if it's like a party night or even I just bring them. They're like these little sheets.
I bring them for traveling specifically.
I wake up in the morning, I'll use that like a pad. It has skin care in it. So, as you're wiping your skin, you literally look so dewy and moisturized after. I really like the smell. They're not like scented, but I just I like the smell of them.
>> And I bring them on the airplane. I've been doing a lot of like longer flights.
So, like when we're about to land or have, you know, premium skincare.
>> Yes. I've been seeing a lot of those.
Yeah.
>> Yes. My my pre-landing routine, I'm like, >> "Yes, must be nice in your pod."
>> So, I really like them for that. They're just they're amazing. They're a great makeup wipe, too. You need next time you see a Tik Tok show ad, just just get them, >> okay?
>> You'll be happy. Just throw them in your bag. Like, I really like them.
>> I I've seen their story now. Like, they can be so close. Like, they're like, "If we just give them one more video."
>> Yeah. One more and then Danielle will do a podcast mention and Brooke will really >> So, they really take off your makeup, though.
>> They definitely do. They They're like a myellar They're kind of like what you're using. They're a myellar wipe basically.
And but I also feel like I could use them when I don't have makeup on, which I like.
>> Yeah.
>> To just a refresh.
>> I'm into that.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. My last thing is um I've been into Nell, like the So, they're like the powdered drink things. Like they're also big on Tik Tok shop.
>> Yeah. What is it? Tell me about it.
>> Okay. So, they have a bunch of like different varieties. They also like sell them at like Costco now. Like I feel like, you know, drink mixes are like really popular. Um so, the one that I use is I think it's Super Focus is the name of it. And that one has like a little bit of caffeine like vitam like alenine or whatever like it just has like things like that. I actually use this a good amount in Japan and I forgot about it and then I like started using it again at home cuz I this could be >> maybe if I you know don't finish my morning coffee like want a little something in the afternoon. The flavors I don't mind. Normally with like some of these powdered mixes like I am like really like plugging my nose to get it down but like these you know what I like I don't really like that stuff.
Sometimes I'm just like >> Yeah. And this is good. There's like an apple flavor which is delicious. And then they have super calm and super sleep. So So the sleep one obviously puts you to sleep and then the calm one just >> I kind of get tired from that one too a little bit I would say like but you might benefit from that. Yeah. Maybe. So the one you drink is for energy or focus.
>> Yeah. Super focus. Yeah. It's more of like a it's a daytimey one. I mean I'm not going to be like woo I'm up but like it I just >> probably powered you through those tours in Japan. So, so like get me through.
I'm like dry taking like dry.
>> You guys have some water I need to throw back my Nell. No, that's really cool though. Maybe I'll bring some to Japan.
>> What do they say? Dry scooping. Is that what it is? Yeah.
>> Oh, when the guys I can't even. It's so disgusting to me.
>> Yeah.
>> My last one is a laundry detergent.
And I will always, this isn't my favorite. I will always love the diva wash. Like that stuff is so good and makes your clothes smell so good and people will compliment you for days.
Another one. Bath and Body Works.
Remember we were at Bath and Body Works?
We're like, "Oh my god, they have all these detergents." I got a detergent in the scent amber blush. Oh my god, it is so good.
>> Really?
>> My clothes when I'm putting my clothes away, I literally like take a whiff. I'm like >> like I'm addicted.
>> Wow.
>> And it smells so so good. And they have cute little bottles. They have so many scents too of the detergent. I just have to say I'm like excited to do my laundry. I have to do my laundry later today and I'm like, "Oh, I'm going to use my amber blush." Look at that. You have something to look forward to.
>> Yeah, it's fun to make the little mundane tasks in life fun.
>> It is >> make life fun again, you know.
>> Hey, I sent out after Japan, I had so much laundry I sent mine out, which was I have not done that in the longest time. Like >> sometimes you have to >> I I literally was like, I don't even know the last time I've done this. And I I that was a real luxury. I was like, wow. So, honestly, it's like because I feel like the whole like washer dryer conversation is like a thing in New York, but like >> sometimes I'm like it is it's kind of nice just to have someone do it for you.
But I know that that's obviously like the real luxury is like >> Yeah. I mean it is but also like most of my friends in New York they do get their laundry done because they don't have washer and dryer. So yeah it does feel weird when you have one but I've I've done it every now and then I'm at a low point and I have so much and I'm like >> they're so backlogged. Yeah.
>> So backlogged.
>> I know they say like I'm on like the Emma Greed side of the internet. Are you there?
>> No. I'm not there. I mean every now and then I'm there >> cuz she just like released a book and there was like a whole thing and like whatever. I mean I'm just obsessed with her. Um, I saw her once, you know, that was like ACL or not ACL.
>> Yeah.
>> Whatever.
>> South by South by South by Yeah. Dongi.
>> But I feel like people like that talk about like like offloading things in their life now and they obviously have kids so they're like, you know, nannies like whatever. But I forget like when I like outsource something, I'm like, my god, like I can do that. You It makes free life. Yeah. Free will. I've been really reminded of free will recently and it's really so great.
>> It's really so great. You're like, I could just have cereal right now if I wanted to.
>> Yeah. No, I could >> or whatever it may be.
>> Yeah. And I I could just like, you know, have someone help me clean my house if I wanted. Like, you know, I don't have to just suffer with like rings in my toilets if I like am getting overwhelmed. Like, you know, I can >> maybe my foot's broken now. I don't know. I might need some extra help around that.
>> Might need some extra help.
>> If that freaking marathon took me out, I'm going to be so pissed. It wasn't worth it. Like it.
>> No, that's not I I based on how you're describ I can't see you being in a boot.
Like are you in that much pain?
>> When I when I'm when it bears weight when I'm >> as in like when you're standing or if you're holding something extra.
>> Oh, I have I have bearing weight when you stand. I just you know >> you're so little.
>> I'm so little. But you know my 100 plus pounds that I'm putting on that that's >> weight at the end of the day.
>> No, that's definitely weightbearing.
>> Yeah, I guess it's all weight bearing. I just wasn't sure, >> you know. Yeah.
Well, well, that's a wrap, folks.
>> That's a wrap dydap. Um, we love you guys so much. Forever grateful for all of our gal pals. Feel free to comment down below. We love seeing your comments. Go follow us on Instagram, Galsthe podcast on Instagram. We do Friday dumps every Friday with like visuals of things that we talked about.
Maybe we could put a visual of Brooks knock like I don't know for reference.
Like >> I bought the photo package from my marathon. Sorry, I will shut up. This will be the last thing I mention about the damn.
>> Wait, don't say sorry.
>> I bought the photo package cuz like that was how I got access to all the photos and they keep uploading more and more.
I'm like where were all these photographers and I'm walking in every [ __ ] picture. I'm like I literally walked for collectively five minutes.
I'm not joking. There were five vivid points where I was like okay I'm walking like >> and that's where the photograph >> and I swear >> every photo or knockch knees. So we'll put them in the >> knockch knees.
Lock jaw knock.
>> Too good. Um, well, I hope you guys all have a great day and we love you. We love you. Bye.
