It is a shame to see profound medieval history reduced to a clickbait headline about bad smells. This sensationalist framing undermines the serious preservation issues that these irreplaceable ruins actually face.

The SMELL At This MAUSOLEUM Was So BAD We LEFTAdded:
with a large cadaver, a skeleton figure approximately 1 m in height representing the figure of death.
And then we have this magnificent mausoleum just over the door.
Oh.
Bar Lounge and Undertakers.
Daffy's Um we're just going to go down to a church down here.
Uh hopefully it's open.
And I believe it's just up around here.
So, this uh is Kilmallock Collegiate Church and it's dedicated to Saint Peter and Saint Paul. It was built around the 13th century and it was served by a college, a community of clerics, which differed from a monastic community in that it did not follow a monastic rule.
So, we're going to take you on inside.
So, we have a beautiful entrance here.
>> Now, unfortunately, this section is locked, but I do have a very very interesting tomb that I have a photo of.
Um and it's the Fitzgerald tomb. Now, I have a better picture than that.
So, it's a large cadaver.
A skeleton figure approximately 1 m in height representing the figure of death shown standing frontally and grasping a fatal dart, a gravedigger's T-handle spade, and beneath death's right foot is a shallow depression with a small corpse just there lying in an open shroud.
Now, that is pretty cool.
Up at the top, you can just see like an angel figure there.
But, unfortunately, it is locked up, but I can show you at least some of it by just sticking my arm through.
And I believe that could possibly be it there.
Not going to get much of a closer view than that. There's a few other graves. I'm sure it's locked just to try and preserve it, which I do understand.
There's the big padlock.
And it's well sealed.
>> But I will put a picture of over.
Um and it's definitely that tomb.
Just there.
You just see it from that side side here then there's a sign and it says Vardon tomb.
That one seems to have beautiful crests on it.
But I will definitely put up the picture because the picture is fantastic.
Better than the the black and white one there.
Um There is something wrote here.
Sacred to the memory of Alice who departed this life February. The date then is in behind that bar.
1855 is it?
Um also her son.
Um John.
He was 35 when he died in I presume it's 18.
Could be 1855 as well. That plaque is is just there on the inside but definitely that tomb there is the one with the skeleton and on the side there it actually has our Lord on the cross.
So unfortunately these places do get locked up but either way it's fascinating to see.
Another locked door or gate I should say. That might bring us out to the graveyard itself.
We've another ruin way up up there.
So let's take a closer look at some of the graves that are actually in here.
Susan Cleary, on the plaque there, 1870.
James Quinlan.
And then we have several just buried here.
Another little gated area, also locked up.
And I think that just brings us into I think the whole stones and stuff there from the um the church itself.
Oh, I don't fancy looking at that.
But each of these little gates are locked, unfortunately.
Here lieth the body of M Ettner, is it? Fleming. Mrs., [snorts] I think. Yeah.
And Eleanor Fleming. Oh, yes. So, of Mrs. Eleanor Fleming, who departed this life January the 6th, 1780 there.
Um aged 75. May she rest in peace.
Some of the signs are totally worn.
But watch.
If I turn this way, look at this.
Now, I do love going up these steps. That is pretty cool.
Spiral stairs.
And then we have this magnificent mausoleum just over the door.
It's like three boars, I presume it is.
And uh unsure of what's up there.
But the boars themselves are very, very interesting.
Huge door.
And then on this side, hopefully, we might see a name.
This mausoleum was constructed in the year of our Lord 1850 by Air Evans, Esquire, for the remains of his beloved daughter, Honorable Caroline uh Louisa Grant, and for the family of the Evans of Ash Hill Towers and Milton Castle.
This mausoleum was restored in 1933 by the Lady Nina Geraldine Knowles, a granddaughter of the late Major George Thomas Evans, 47th Regiment of Ash Hill Towers, Kilmallock.
And that is where we are. Do think there was probably some sort of crest there, but look, guys.
There's a huge hole there, but I don't think we're going to see that there. Oh my god, this is disgusting.
People bring their dogs in.
And >> [laughter] >> I don't believe it.
There is dog dirt absolutely everywhere.
That is disgusting. That's human.
It's not.
>> It is.
Oh.
That is disgusting.
That is a Look. Stop it.
Oh.
Oh.
I've turned off.
So, that's inside.
Nothing really to see. It looks like there's actually nothing in there, which is quite unusual.
It's like there's no coffins whatsoever.
Let me just pan across here.
No.
There seems to be like a plaque there.
And if I just move Don't know what we're seeing, guys.
Not a lot, anyway.
But, that's just inside the mausoleum.
So, we just had a close look. Sorry, I had to stop the video because that is actually human.
Feces. Feces.
Human poo.
Now, if you're not really into looking, because I know people won't uh believe me that somebody would do that.
But, uh It's everywhere.
And unfortunately, uh Grave Visitations was unlucky enough to uh stand in it and wave.
>> I can smell it. I can smell it. My stomach actually turned as well.
>> [snorts] >> That is actually disgusting, guys. Like if it was a dog, it would be disgusting, but a human that's worse.
Which is a pity.
Because the place is stunning and then you wonder why they they have to lock places up.
Yuck.
Right, so we've just actually come outside because that is actually disgusting. I'm sorry now, but >> [sighs and gasps] >> that is horrible.
Um so we've just come outside just to breathe um and have a look at the outside rooms as well.
It looks bigger on the outside for some reason.
I'm not sure why.
So we have some new graves along here as well.
Uh But I want to try and get across the bridge here.
Cuz I know there's a bridge here somewhere that goes across to the rooms.
Um but I'm not sure where that is, so we'll have to find that first.
I'm just totally thrown now by that.
Uh this one says John A. Lynch died for Ireland, September 22nd, 1920.
But yeah, I wanted to try and get over here. I'm kind of trying to beat the weather as well, guys. Not easy.
This is the door we were looking out of.
So the ruins are over that way.
So, um we're going to have to try and come out and try and find the entrance to that.
The grounds here are well maintained.
Uh the grass is cut. A few little benches scattered around.
Um we even have the stations >> [panting] >> uh going around the the graveyard itself, which is is really nice to see. Just on that wall there.
There's people here now trying to maybe they're tending to grave. A lot of gravel and stuff. So, we'll leave them to it. We'll exit now.
Grave visitations is going to burn his boots and change into something better.
So, we found uh the priory. It's called the priory and this area's there's a little walk area called the priory walk.
Um I could just see it over there.
This could be all locked up, I don't know. No, there's people coming out of it.
So, obviously that there is the walk.
And we cross this little footbridge.
Um ooh.
Over this beautiful little stream, actually.
It's nice.
Love the sound of running water.
Hi Liz. Hi Liz. Hi.
Ooh, them slabs slabs that I was walking on are a bit slippy.
Um Yeah, so this is the priory.
Uh I'm kind of drawn off now because of what just happened.
Uh I was starting to get drawn up and everything, but I'm just I don't know. I just have to to leave. My stomach is not right just yet.
Uh pretty disgusting really.
So, there is some information here.
>> [snorts] >> It seems nice in there.
So, this is Kilmacduagh friary dedicated to Saint Savior. It was founded in 1291 on land which the Dominicans acquired with royal consent from John Bluett who owned property in the town. The friars were unlawfully ejected from the site by the Bishop of Limerick almost immediately, but had their rights restored following a royal inquiry.
Uh the friaries are the friars then remained here until 1571.
So, let's take a look inside.
Hello.
I didn't realize it was this big, actually.
And on the little information board I was reading, I did notice um this on the board it says pretty weathered now.
And actually just here on this is more faces.
And another one much better uh better preserved is this one.
It's almost like she's holding up the the arch.
So there's a lot of young lads in here.
But we will take a walk through.
Now, these cloisters are supposed to be some of the most preserved cloisters in Ireland.
Let us just look here for a sec. Stairs up to Ooh.
Let's find a door.
Not allowed in. Hello.
No.
But this is like steps to nowhere.
So, possibly the last level at some stage.
Um What is this?
Must have been like a fireplace or something with it.
A little area just there.
Now, I don't know what I'm going to be able to film cuz there is a lot of teenagers about.
Sitting on tombs, for sure. Yeah, so this is supposed to be one of the best preserved cloisters in Ireland.
And another door.
I wonder what's in there. Yeah, I wonder are they original doors, you think?
Or they're just sealed shut.
It could be actually nothing in there. I do see a little bit of light.
But it's hard to know.
So, you can't see around it.
That is cool, though.
There's another one in there. What?
So, I wonder is there something in there?
Is there a hole into the room, maybe?
No.
Oh, I wonder what that is.
They're all those holes are blocked up.
Ooh, this one has a handle.
Ooh, hello.
They've even blocked up the keyhole.
It's like they're trying to They're hiding conceal something or hide something.
That's my uh educated guess on it.
The doors are cool. They're almost like doors for a castle.
Fabulous.
Fabulous. Oh.
Little birdie.
Aw.
You drank a can of Coca-Cola.
Oh. And you died. Not a good advertisement for Cola, is it?
There's no way you can get up there, is there? Is it gated up there?
It's locked up.
Oh, you would have been able to walk around it out here.
But it's locked.
Probably because it's it's dangerous and yeah, it's locked.
Off in the distance there, there's a castle.
But look at actually every arch is designed so well.
Church, we often see there has scaffold up.
Um so obviously getting repaired.
Right.
I'm going to try and get down.
That is kind of cool when you see that door there, isn't it?
You just wonder what's in there.
Right.
I've not been in here yet.
I actually don't know where I am now.
Were we in here? Oh, we were.
Huh? Yeah, the window is gorgeous.
You went out that way.
Look at the steps to nowhere.
Look at them little things on the on the wall.
You sure you don't want to be in the chat on the video now?
Just to say hello.
These two are facing us. And do you want to be in it? People are All right, guys. It's going to rain.
There's no point in putting drawing it up cuz the wind here is just unreal.
We're going to go back out.
Um Sorry about the the video ending the way it did. Both of our stomachs were just heaving.
Um It's just disgusting. Yeah. To see that in a place of worship.
The smell and uh you know There's plenty of fields and I'm sure pubs And there's so many toilets to use around the area. pubs and cafes, I'm sure.
Um So, just want to say one more thing.
Um been getting an awful lot of of hate lately.
Um accusations, um comments that are horrendous. Some of them were held, thankfully, and some of them weren't.
Uh Someone said they were coming to find me.
Uh they all have been reported.
But, just to anybody that looks at the channel, um it's done with respect.
Um I don't want to see hate on other channels either. If you are a creator and you allow hateful comments in your comment section, that's on you.
But these are mature adults that try to bully and defame me and my content. There's enough content in the world that we can all have some of us and enjoy it.
But if you're letting comments spread hate under your videos, it's on you.
These people need to to grow up and to get a life.
I'm just me.
Oh, sorry.
Sorry.
Um I'm just me.
There's nothing fake about me or my reactions.
It is as you find it and it is who I am. I'm not changing for anybody.
I keep doing what I do because this is what I love.
If you don't like it, you don't have to watch.
But as I say, hateful comments about myself um that a creator allows and comments back to is on them.
And there's absolutely no need for this.
So, that is the town all those years ago in a beautiful mural on the wall.
All right, guys. I'll leave it there.
Uh That's it.
Really, I don't have much more to say, but it is hurtful.
And you know, it's It's aimed at me personally, and as I said, a lot of that hate is coming onto my channel.
And if someone is out there trying to get me, um well, good luck finding me first, but that's how you feel. That's how you feel. Don't watch. Don't look.
We both get it, don't we? We both get it, yeah. But it's the way I always think, you know, these people are just trolls hiding behind keyboards, and Well, some of them actually have photos.
>> going to silence us. You're never going to stop us doing videos, so Some of them have photos, so I've been able to see they're not teenagers.
These are mature men and women.
Uh so just grow up and stop the hate. Stop the bullying, because that's what it is. It's bullying and harassment >> did hear >> of another person. I did hear before when you're getting a lot of trolls, it's a good sign that your channel is growing and it's successful.
>> Yeah, well That's another side of it.
>> There's videos out there that I don't like, so I don't look. I never, ever leave a comment that's based on harassment and hate.
It's bullying. Bullying causes people to have mental breakdowns.
We're a grieving family, and I just don't need the aggravation of it all.
So, that's my rant over.
But for now, guys, take care. God bless, and I will talk to you all very soon.
Bye-bye for now.
