[00:01:17]>> Anyways guys, before Jacob takes me off today, >> my old class put her on. Before Jacobe takes me off today, guys, today is anatomy day, anatomy scan day, which means we're going to see how much baby actually weighs. We're going to measure his head. We're going to measure his BPD.

[00:01:39]We're going to measure his abdominal circumference. We're going to measure his femur. We're going to look at his nose and lips and make sure he doesn't have a cleft lip or cleft palette. We're going to look at the >> We're going to look at the lens in his eyes and make sure he has a lens in his eye. We're going to look at his fingers and toes, y'all. And of course, they're going to see gender, but we're not going to know until our gender reveal, which is Sunday. Today is >> But I'm going to know today.

[00:02:15]>> No, he's not. Today is Wednesday, April 15th. It's 9:31. Our appointment is at 9:45. So, we're actually leaving on time today.

But during that part, I'm going just like as soon as we go in there, I'm going to be like, "Okay, y'all. We do not want to know the gender." who did not tell us and make no Jacobe's. No, I'm going to tell Jacobe to step out because I can't trust him not to look y'all. And so I'm going to make Jacobe step out whenever they scan gender because he can't be trusted.

[00:03:11]What I'm what I'm going to do like whenever we first walk in the uh ultrasound room, I'm going to say we don't want to know the gender is. So, can you go ahead? I mean, of course, they got to get like heart tones and stuff. That's like the first thing, the first first thing you got to scan whenever you're scanning a baby. You got to make sure the heart's beating, obviously. But after that, I'm be like, before you do head anatomy and all that, can you just do gender first?

[00:03:39]That way you can get it out the way. And then like let Jacobe like stand in the hallway for a second.

[00:07:24]Guys, it is baby day. It is anatomy scan day. Today at our doctor's appointment, we're going to be having anatomy scan ultrasound done. That's where we're going to see baby's head anatomy. We're going to measure his head, his BPD, his abdominal circumference, his femur, and we're going to look at his nose, lips. We're going to look at his eyes.

[00:07:49]We're going to look at his fingers, toes, all the anatomy, make sure everything is where it needs to be. With that also comes gender, but we will not know gender until the gender reveal, which is this Sunday. Today is April 15th. It is 9:40. How do you feel, Dad?

Anatomy scan like around like scanning like around 20 weeks is just so perfect because whenever you're in your first trimester, your baby is too little, you can't see nothing. Whenever you're in third trimester, all the bones have oified and so it makes shadowing artifact whenever you're scanning and so you can't really see nothing. go to get.

[00:10:13]>> My plan was very unsuccessful. Thought I was going to be able to sneak the gender, but the tech turned the TV off.

[00:10:25]>> Did y'all hear what the doctor said? She said, "I'm doing really good." And she said on what' she say? I gained three pounds.

Y'all, whenever she put it like whenever we was looking at his Well, y'all know I'm going to say his, but whenever we was looking at the baby's face, it the was the cutest little he looked just like me, >> y'all. It was the cutest little face. I almost started crying. Like, my eyes literally teared up and I had to like do this. Like, >> that was the cutest little face ever.

[00:11:12]And it's so crazy like looking like cuz y'all know I scan other people but like looking like scanning myself and like seeing the cutest little baby inside my own self.

[00:13:02]>> Um I I was just on the phone with the firework people. Um basically we're getting four smoke cannons and it it basically blows up and shoots in the air. I just called them to see like what would be the process, what we how smooth it would be cuz what we were going to do at first give my partner we we the um the envelope, let him hold it, then just getting him to call and just let him know everything. But he said sometimes people get everything mixed up and stuff. He's like he like to see uh it on the envelope or paper, however. So it be Hey, you wrote it down here. Yeah.

[00:15:24]But every time Jacobe tries to fill it, he don't want to move no more. He did not have to sl like that. But so, um, y'all saw the clips from in there, but I'm just going to go over everything again, I guess. So, next appointment is my glucose test to see if I have gestational diabetes. A lot of people be acting like a lot of people like act crazy about the glucose test, but really I mean I don't I don't think it's that big of a deal. Um, yeah. So, I'm not really nervous about it. A lot of people be nervous about it, but I'm not nervous about it. Y'all, I during the ultrasound, I almost started crying. Like my eyes was tearing up and I was literally having to like like dab the corners of my eyes cuz like I was really about to cry. Like y'all know I scanned and did ultrasound and like it's so cute like seeing the babies, but like seeing a baby inside myself and especially because he's so big now and like seeing all the anatomy and the brain and his like abdomen, his stomach kidneys, liver, all that. Like, it's just insane seeing all that inside of me and it being my baby. Like, that's crazy. And I tell Jacobe this every day, I think. Like, it's so crazy to me that we're having a baby. Like, I still can't wrap my mind around us having a baby. He's moving. Y'all know I'm going to say he, but he's moving.

[00:17:21]The baby is moving right now. Like maybe, no, I was about to say maybe it's me talking that's making him move, but he was moving when I was not talking a minute ago when I was just on my phone, too. But yeah, it's so crazy that there's a baby moving and growing inside of me.

[00:17:46]And whenever we started looking at his face, like his head anatomy, and we went to his face, y'all, y'all, that's the cutest little face.

[00:18:01]And then he has the he has like big lips like Jacobe. Like the lips is so cute.

[00:18:11]And then um like whenever she did go Don't know what that was. Whenever she did the nose and lips picture, that's when I like really almost started crying cuz that was just so cute. That is my favorite ultrasound picture to get that.

[00:18:32]And um profile and I like brain anatomy and I also like uh feet.

[00:18:44]But the cutest one ever is nose and lips. Not even just my baby, but like scanning other people. Like I love love love seeing the nose lips picture on a baby. And for that, like it's also crazy, too, cuz like whenever like you're the patient, you a lot of people think like you're just getting the pictures because it's cute and like they think that's what you want to see or whatever, but like every picture has a purpose. You're looking for abnormalities. So like the nose lips picture, you're looking to see if there's any cleft lip, cleft palette.

[00:19:28]And for a profile picture, you're looking to see is the nasal bone um is the nasal bone there? And you're making sure everything where it needs to be. And you're looking for those landmarks and stuff for every single picture. Every picture has a landmark that you're looking for to make sure everything's growing and is where it's supposed to be and make sure it's on the right side of the body and not I was talking to Jacobe about this last night whenever I was going over like I was going over stuff so that I don't miss anything because I'm I might as well be scanning myself like I'm looking at everything just like she is. But I was um talking to Jacobe last night. I was like, "What if he has um I can't remember what it's called. It's body something, but like where everything on your body is flip-flopped and it's on the opposite side of what it's supposed to be on." And so yeah, I was And then Jacobe told me to just close my book because it's going to make me stress.

[00:20:32]And so I was like, "Yeah."

[00:20:35]Especially whenever it got to like the pictures of like the abnormalities and stuff like whenever it started talking about amniotic band syndrome, I closed it. I closed it. I closed it. I closed it. That was so freaking fun.

[00:20:51]Like the skin was so fun.

[00:20:55]And it's The baby has the cutest face, y'all. like the cutest little face.

[00:21:04]Like I wish I could relive the scan again just so I could see the face. Like just so I could see my baby's little face. I wish I had a um machine at home. I was scared myself. Everything was good. Of course, y'all saw um that he had really he had really nice brain anatomy. His spine was pretty, too. Um the heart was a little hard to see because of how he was positioned because he's laying transverse inside of me.

[00:21:40]He's not laying like straight up and down. He's laying sideways in me. He's laying transverse like this instead of up and down like this.

[00:21:51]And so I knew he was transversed last night. So I literally said he was transverse last night because I felt movement over here and I felt it over here. So obviously he's laying this way and either side is his hands and the other side is his feet or vice versa, whatever. So I literally called it I said it last night he was transverse. I have a posterior placenta. That means that my placenta is not in the front closest to the outside, it's in the back of my uterus. So that's why um we also feel him like we feel him really good whenever he's moving. Like we're able to like actually like feel it with our hands whenever he moves because there's nothing blocking him from the outside except obviously skin and muscle.

[00:22:41]There's no placenta in the way. He weighed nine ounces. I think he weighed nine ounces.

[00:22:50]And they get the weight based off of measurements. So, based off the head measurement, uh, abdominal circumference and femur. He weighs 9 oz. He's measuring 9 weeks instead of 9 weeks and two days.

[00:23:08]But that's that's good. I mean, it's only two days off, so he's good. He's doing good.

[00:23:14]He's growing good. Everything's good.

[00:23:16]Fantastic.

[00:23:18]I got to pick up my prescription for my iron because I ran out and so I told her that I needed more iron. I also told her that like I want to see my actual doctor because again today we saw the nurse practitioner again and I need to be seeing my doctor. Like I need to be seeing the one that's going to deliver the baby. I need to build a relationship with a doctor so he actually gives a f about me whenever it's time to deliver. And I'm not just a number. I'm not just a patient. I'm not just Smith. Like, he needs to know me and I need to know him. So, I told uh the nurse practitioner, I was like, I want to be seeing my doctor. like I've only seen the actual doctor one time and I've seen her every other time. And so she said she said um that's been happening a lot.

[00:24:15]Like the lady the girl that like schedules everybody, she just if the nurse practitioner is the one who saw him the last time, that's who she puts the patient with. Again, she just keeps putting it with whoever was the last one to see the patient. And she was like, I've been telling her like she needs to put the doctor with all the OB's. Like whoever the OB doctor is that the patient is seeing, that's who they need to see and not me if if they can help it. Like I should only be here to help if stuff gets piled up. And I was like, "Yeah." And so she said she was going to talk to the scheduling lady, but I also said something whenever it was time to like check out and schedule my next appointment. I told the girl like I wanted to see my doctor and uh I got it set up to where I'm going to actually see my doctor. Um the only thing is he's not going to be like taking appointments until later in the day and I have my glucose test. So I can't eat until after I get my blood drawn for the glucose test. And so that's that's the only thing. But I'll just sleep in. I'll just sleep in later so it won't be so bad. Like I won't be starving. That's really it for right now. Whenever we get back home, I'm going to show y'all the sign that Jacobe made for the gender reveal.

[00:26:19]Erica said she going to take us down there to the firework place. So, we didn't make that trip today, but I'mma take this opportunity to show y'all what I've been out here doing with these letters, man.

[00:26:31]So, look, this right here is a bee. One of the two bees I had to make. Um, I really I did the caulking around it. I got to let that dry so I can um paint it. I'mma sand it down and paint it.

[00:26:50]But, um, it's about dry. I'm going probably let it dry for another hour.

[00:26:55]I'mma sand everything down till it's smooth and like butt up with it with everything cuz of course there's some imperfections. I mean, it's my first time of doing them. But, I mean, they look great from afar. Like, like my check this out.

[00:27:13]You can't even tell like anything wrong with it. But like when you get up close to them, like you see little stuff like you see this Y looks perfect from here, right? Looks beautiful from here, but when you get up on it and you can notice like certain stuff like I don't know if they'll notice it, but I see that. I know that's um but like I said this >> when you paint over here.

[00:27:40]>> Yeah. Yeah, when I paint over, I mean, you going to still see that, but when I paint over, you ain't going to really pay no attention. I mean, you ain't going to pay no attention if I leave it like that. But the thing is, knowing what I know now, if I do when I do my stencil, it'll be better to do these in a shop because you will catch heck trying to do a stencil outside, taping that junk down while it's raining. I mean, not raining, while it's windy. It was windy as freak out here when I was doing the stencils. So when I tape it down and I'm cutting, it's blowing up. So you got to trace it, all that stuff. So if you in the shop, you'll be good. And plus, if I had my laser level and everything, I could have made everything straight, everything.

[00:28:20]But I did the best I could with the uh holes. All those are straight, though.

[00:28:24]Like I made sure those are straight.

[00:28:29]>> Um but I got baby. A lot of people been putting in some orders. So maybe I'll start doing this part-time, you know, some extra cash because But it ain't going to be cheap though. Like I'm I'm charging minimum 225 a little.

[00:28:49]I'm doing that at 5 ft. And that's only because I'm just not starting off. Once I get like really good with it and like probably like after my third set I do I'm going probably go up to about 2 250 for a 5ft letter let two. Yeah, I'm probably like it takes a lot to do those letters like and I ain't just saying that just cuz I'm about to charge people to do it.

[00:29:14]I'm saying that cuz I actually I actually been out here in the sun in the heat doing them and I'm doing them ultimately for free.

[00:29:25]I'm doing them for the baby boy. So like and so I know what it takes to do them and I know the tools it's going to take.

[00:29:34]I did all that with a skill saw, a jigsaw and a finishing gun and a sander of course. But um if I can have my way, I get a table saw and a freaking um >> level >> a miller saw too. I think that's what it's called. A Miller saw, angle saw, however you want to say it. One that you can just let down and cut. It'll be so It'll be so easy to do that and get a laser level. Be able to get all my stuff straight.

[00:30:05]But I'm heading to Harbor Freight to get the paint gun. Why does my neck hurt when I turn it? Ouch. That paint was freaking $60 for like one gallon.

[00:30:14]>> But also, um, later on today, I'll probably show yall like a little sneak peek of like the, uh, decorations and stuff we got, too. Hey y'all. So, I don't know why the camera is acting like it's just so dark in here. The lights literally on, but I want to show y'all the decorations real quick. Today is Friday night, so we got two days until the reveal.

[00:30:41]And tonight, we're actually gonna end this vlog and start a new vlog of us going to go get the like explosion firework things and we got to drive all the way to Georgia. And Jacob's mama, if y'all see her back there, it's very dark in here for some reason, but she is going to drive us. So, everybody say, "Yay, Erica's driving." I got to use my flashlight off my phone cuz I don't know why she's acting like it's so dark in here. But this down here in this box is a balloon arch to go around like the baby letters that Jacob's making. The diapers right here. And these baby bottles are for a game.

[00:33:28]And this is the girl hand. We got like little baby feet. It says girl, a pom pom, and just girly and pink. And this is the boy hand. We got little baby feet, boy, and a football. So, we're super excited, guys. I'm going to go ahead and end the vlog right here because we need to go ahead and go to sleep cuz we're going to wake up at like 2:30 so we can get on the road cuz Georgia um Atlanta is like where the firework place is and so that's like a 3-hour drive and so if we leave at like 2:30 we'll get there around 5:30 and they're an hour ahead.
