[00:00:00]A door focus remains on US Iran fragile ceasefire talks. President Donald Trump is expected to hold a situation room meet on Iran on Monday with his top national security and foreign policy team. Now this is according to an Axis report that has cited three US officials. The report comes hours after President Trump reiterated that the United States holds all the cards in the war against Iran. The report suggests that Trump's team would discuss the stalemate in the negotiations and potential next steps. In fact, he's canled a trip of his own voice uh Steve Vidkov and Jared Kushner to Islamabad on Saturday. Trump dismissed the talks as sitting around talking about nothing.

[00:00:41]Speaking to Fox News, Trump said that Iranian officials can speak to the negotiators by telephone whenever they want.

[00:00:49]>> You know, it's a 17 18 hour flight. I said, 'When is this meeting taking place? And it was like going to be on Tuesday and it was Saturday and they're leaving, you know, and by the time they get there, it's hours and hours and hours of flying. And I said, "We're not doing this anymore. We have all the cards. If they want to talk, they can come to us or they can call us. You know, there is a telephone."

[00:01:11]>> As peace efforts between Thran and Washington hang in the balance. The Axios report suggests that Iran has sent a new proposal to Americans by mediator Pakistan. The report uh the proposal that is focuses first on resolving the crisis over the street and the US blockade. It also proposes negotiations on Iran's nuclear program take place at a later stage in the talks. This as Iran's foreign minister is now in Russia. The country's foreign ministry has even said that Abazaraki is uh traveling to Moscow who's now reached the country for talks without providing more details. Earlier Iran's uh news agency had quoted Thran's ambassador to Russia. Kazim Jalali as saying that Haki is expected to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow on Monday to consult with Russian officials regarding the latest status of the negotiations, ceasefire and surrounding developments.

[00:02:08]It was on Sunday or Saturday that Arachi met Pakistan's military chief Aim Munir, Prime Minister Shabbash Sharif and even foreign minister Ishagdar before traveling to Oman and returning to Islamabad. Ibrahim Rajay who is serving as spokesperson for Iran's national security and foreign policy commission has claimed that Pakistan lacks the credibility that's required for mediation talks. In a statement on X, he's described Islamabad as good friend and neighbor, but argued it is not suitable intermediary and tends to align with US interests.

[00:03:08]>> Well, unfortunately, right now the two sides have worked themselves into their respective corners. Um Iran has said that the US must remove its blockade of uh hormutes. And meanwhile, US says Iran Iran must reopen the straight and without fees. Now the question is who's really calling the shots perhaps literally um in Iran. Is it the government, the state government or is it the IRCG, the Iranian um you know guard? So there's a question about like who would the United States really truly you know negotiate with. So the discussions that the Trump team is going to have is you know he pulled back u Witco and Kushner from going to Pakistan um on Tuesday and and so he said okay let's just have an office meeting. Sorry they were supposed to go over the weekend. now he's going to have an office meeting and say like where do we go from here because this is it's kind of fruitless if we just do this shuttling back and forth and we're not making any progress um again because now Iran is saying we don't want to talk about nukes at all. I mean, that was the initial issue why, you know, Trump decided to to attack Iran was the nuke issue and also the ballistic issue. But now Iran is saying, "Hey, we're not going to talk about any of that until you talk we talk about the immediate things and that is uh extending the ceasefire, dropping the blockade, reimbursing us for war costs." So now we've got that bundle on top of what Trump really wants to talk about before the two sides can actually sit down and have meaningful discussions.
