Lara Trump Reacts to Idiotic Democrat Tweet About World Cup

[00:00:00]I hope we all can come together. Maybe if for nothing else to watch the World Cup. Was really cool to see team USA and their win against Paraguay the other day. I thought that was awesome.

[00:00:10]Um however, and and I saw a headline with this and I said, "Let me click into the tweet to actually see what was said." This was the actual tweet from the California Democratic Party. Ready?

[00:00:23]And Link, tell me what the hell's going on here. Here's their tweet. You're not allowed to watch the World Cup if you've ever voted against immigration.

[00:00:32]What are we talking about here? What What is This is so on brand for the Democrats, but I'm still confused as to what they thought they were trying to say with this post. Uh Link, did you get get this? Did I miss the memo?

[00:00:45]>> [laughter] >> Well, you totally cut out while you were reading the post, but what I will say is I don't understand why people continue to politicize sports, especially the World Cup. The whole point is for everybody to come together across the aisle. So, I don't really understand why there's so much anger and animosity in general, but I'm sorry I didn't get the tweet that you read.

[00:01:03]>> tweet was you're not allowed to watch the World Cup if you've ever voted against immigration.

[00:01:09]>> [laughter] >> Yeah. Okay, so this speaks So, this speaks to my exact point. These are people just once again politicizing.

[00:01:14]Like, can we just drop our politics for 1 second and enjoy something? Can anybody have fun anymore? Like, does everything have to be so life and death and so full of anger? Like, if you want common sense border security and you want common sense immigration reform, you can't watch the World Cup. That doesn't even make sense. When you look at these polls, most of the people who want immigration reform are Hispanics.

[00:01:34]They're like, "We don't want people coming in illegally when we went through the process." So, I don't understand why they're playing politics with the World Cup. Once >> But also, if if I can jump in on this one point cuz I think this is so important. The Democrats do this all the time. They conflate criminal illegal immigrants with illegal immigrants who are here and otherwise not committing any additional crimes. We can have a nuanced conversation about how to deal with both of those sides and I don't think there is wholesale support even though some polls say this of absolutely everyone who's contributed to society and actually helping in their communities just being deported because they came here 20-30 years ago. I don't think that's necessarily a politically wise move. But if you've got someone who is committing crimes while here, selling drugs, raping people, murdering people like this is not controversial at all and yet the Democrats can't seem to differentiate between those two or at least they refuse to for a variety of different reasons, but the one good thing about the World Cup that I hope everyone pays attention to. There are right now a bunch of different accounts on X that are exploding in popularity. These are Europeans who have come here and are experiencing American culture and their brains can't comprehend how amazing this country is and it is just so adorable to see these people like Freddy from Germany who's going to a Waffle House and is impressed with how amazing it is.

[00:02:49]Like he's not going to Seattle or Los Angeles or New York. He's going to small cities in Florida, in Alabama, in South Carolina and that's what he's experienced. That's that's American culture that people are really excited about.

[00:03:03]>> Well, it's I love that you brought that up because actually the thing the only thing that I will say is most of those that I saw Jason, it was like Taco Bell or it was like a lot of fast food stuff and I'm like, oh my god, is this what we're is what we're presenting? This is our best foot forward moment. But the fact is that people are starting to come and really understand and broadcast that. I mean, I think everybody knows this is the greatest country on Earth.

[00:03:29]There's a reason Link that people literally died trying to get to the United States. But I I think it's so cool that we're we're advertising it and we're embracing that and hopefully we're going to see more of that as the World Cup goes on cuz there are a lot of people from all over the world who are coming here right now for this moment.

[00:03:47]>> Yeah, I love how God, the universe, everything comes together. How you have the World Cup right now coinciding with America 250, the 4th of July. It's such a moment to show American excellence and show the world what we're made of. If people come here and they have Chick-fil-A and Polynesian sauce and fall in love with our country, that's great. If they go see the Washington Monument and fall in love with our country, that's great. Everything in between is worthwhile, but there's a reason people fight and go through the process to come to this country and there's a reason we have to safeguard our country and have immigration policy and have borders that work because you can't just let everybody in willy-nilly, right? There has to be a price to come here. You have to have a reason to want to come here. You will have to contribute to the American dream and the American experiment. So, I love that the World Cup is coinciding with America 250. I think it all just worked out how it was supposed to.

[00:04:34]>> I agree with that and something else, Jason, that I think about, too, is the fact that during Donald Trump's first term as president, he secured the World Cup. He secured um the Olympics. He secured new Air Force One planes. And obviously, right now is America's 250th anniversary year, right? However, those things the president thought he would not be in office because he assumed he would have two back-to-back consecutive terms in office. He didn't think that he was actually going to be president when all of these things came to fruition.

[00:05:07]The World Cup, the Olympics, the new Air Force One planes. And yet, I feel like this is an example of how God has timing planned for us even if sometimes we don't know it cuz Donald Trump is the president right now. And quite frankly, I can't think of a better president to be in the White House for America's 250th birthday and all these other things. So, I think the timing is really amazing.

[00:05:28]>> Yeah, I think the programming around America 250 would be dramatically different if God forbid we had Kamala Harris in the office.

[00:05:33]>> Oh my gosh.

[00:05:34]>> It would just be the most insufferable, angry events where college professors show up.

[00:05:41]They just show up and they talk about how awful this country is and how no one should feel any kind of pride and we have to atone for our past sins. It's like, no, we've got a president who actually truly cares about this country.

[00:05:53]And the irony in all of this is that with the World Cup, for example, and by the way, who said conservatives don't like soccer cuz I love soccer. But if it was Kamala Harris, she would be taking credit and all the left-wing media outlets would be pointing to this White House under Kamala Harris praising how seamless the whole World Cup event has gone so far. But because it's Trump, you're not going to get any of that conversation at all.

[00:06:17]>> Yeah, you're you're probably right, sadly. But we'll all be watching, we'll all be rooting on team USA, for sure.
