[00:00:04]Um, this is a part two of season 4 of Bridgetton. And I'm sorry that I had to split it in half, but if I didn't split it in half, the video would take 80 million years to come out. And I also wouldn't have been able to have it up uh in a reasonable time. It was getting crazy. I was going on 3 weeks. But this way, you were able to get at least the first half earlier. And if you are a member, I'm going to put the whole thing in one big video as without ads so you can enjoy it there. But yeah, I wanted to have that out for you guys a little earlier because I am losing my mind over here because I am moving. So it's thrown on my schedule vastly. And it's sad because I ain't even packed yet. I ain't even at the packing stage. I haven't actually moved anything. I bought a refrigerator. It feel too grown for me.

[00:03:03]So, Aramea notices that her shoe clips are missing and because she's evil, she assumes that Sophie stole them outright.

[00:03:09]And now she's living next door going about the city claiming that she needs to find this Sophie maid and she needs to bring her to justice. So that's not good. Back to Franchesca and Michaela.

[00:03:21]They're still at odds frustrated because again Michaela seems to take up a lot of Jon's time and she's like damn I want to talk to my husband. I want to [ __ ] my husband. She doesn't say that. She wants to [ __ ] him because they still are not pregnant. And John is always busy because he's dealing with Parliament.

[00:03:38]And also, he's been under the weather quite a lot recently. And I imagine none of that is bettered by him not coming to bed because he's yiking, hooting, and hollering with his cousin in the living room at 4:00 a.m. Later, when they have the party that all the other Bridgetton siblings come to, there is a man there that seems to be interested in Michaela.

[00:03:57]And Francesca takes this as an opportunity to introduce them, hoping to preoccupy her so that she will leave them alone. And when Jon finds out about this, he's very annoyed because he had already told Franchesca that she doesn't wish to marry. Now, I think the reason he knows that she doesn't wish to marry is because he also knows in my theory that she gay. Now, they haven't said anything, but they have. The show has said that she's gay. She's gay. Like, she's gay. We know that she's gay. The other characters, I guess, don't know.

[00:04:26]But she doesn't want to marry, and you're putting her in an awkward position. And what a good guy. He's like, I know my cousin's gay. She doesn't want to be married. That's my theory. I don't know that this is his mindset, but she doesn't want to marry.

[00:04:36]Leave her alone. And also, Jon is just very frustrated that the two people in his life that he cares about so much can't seem to get on the same page. So, Francesca tries to patch things up with Michaela only for it to get impassioned in a way that feels not appropriate to the circumstances. Like, Michaela is frustrating. She arrives uninvited. She seems to make her husband laugh. She sees how close they are and how connected they are. And she reminds her how inadequate she is as a wife. But again, there is also something else unspoken. I don't even think realized with Francesca in particular. But eventually, they are able to make up and become friends. Friends.

[00:05:22]It's early. We'll see how it goes. So, remember the guy that goes to Benedict and talked about how he's in love and he has a mistress who kind of gave Benedict the idea about, "Oh, I can ask Sophie to be my mistress." So, Penelopey ends up writing about that dude because it's all around. And if she didn't write about it, it's like, damn, why not? Like, everybody's talking about how this [ __ ] has an affair and they also know who the mistress is. But Penelopey decides to write a column that doesn't name names, but essentially is a warning that y'all have gotten sloppy. And it is to the point that everybody already knows. So chill the [ __ ] out. The woman who is the mistress in that situation comes yelling at Penelopey like, "Why would you write that? You made the rumors all salient."

[00:06:02]Like people could guess all they wanted, but it wasn't in writing. So now he has to end the affair and now I won't be protected because I was only going to be useful to him as I was hot and like fertile. Like you've ruined my chance of saving enough money until I'm too old for him and he falls out in love with me. Which damn bleak. But yeah, she I mean she's not wrong. you didn't have a whole lot of options back then. And Penelopey is like, "Girl, everybody already knew." Again, I wrote to warn y'all to chill the [ __ ] out. Benedict ends up running into that guy and he's drunk and he's sad. And this makes Benedict consider more what it would be like, what risks would be worth taking to be with Sophie if at all possible.

[00:06:41]But the thing that pisses me off about Benedict is that because he's so he really don't think hard enough in my opinion about how much of an ask that is for Sophie. He don't get it. The [ __ ] don't. Which is interesting cuz he's aware of all the things that he'd have to give up if he were to be with her legitimately, if that's even possible.

[00:07:08]But he doesn't have the capacity to really appreciate that if it may be embarrassing for him. Maybe not the best for people to find out if he were in a relationship with a maid or fell in love with a maid or married a maid or whatever. It would ruin Sophie to be found out as Benedict Bridgetton's mistress. It would destroy her income prospects, her survival, her reputation.

[00:07:33]She would become the lustful maid that you can't have around your husband cuz she going to [ __ ] him. So, she says that again when he goes to try to kiss her again in one of the dark rooms with the candles and [ __ ] And I'm like, damn, [ __ ] Put your dick away. I get it.

[00:07:44]It's not just your dick. It's your heart as well. But put both away for a second cuz I'm going to need you to actually listen to her. When she's like, "Nigga, there's so much you're asking of me and I don't know if I want to do that yet."

[00:07:55]Eventually, Hi, who again is the only sibling that seems to be really excited about the prospect of entering the marriage market. There is a moment that she kind of waines in that, but honestly, it's such a small story point that I'm not even gonna worry about it other than saying it, I guess, right now. But she holds a basically like a pre-debut recital where all the teenagers and pre-teens that are learning dances and whatnot before they enter society, can come together and practice and perform for their family and chaperones and stuff like that.

[00:08:23]Think of it like a 8th through 11th grade junior prom where they're all, "Hi, hi. This is how you do." This will also be the first opportunity for Violet to announce nervously to her children that she has a friend, Mr. Anderson. She lets the two youngest Bridgeten children know, Gregory. I think in the first video I called him George. His name is Gregory. Gregory and Hyestin and she's like, "I have a friend." And I don't know if they just don't care or don't know what the [ __ ] she's talking about because again, she has a tendency to be bad at explaining things, especially when she's nervous. But they seem chill about it. Eventually, information about Sophie and what her origins may be starts to spread amongst the maids of the town, and the information gets back to Violet, and one of the maids would say that they knew a woman who was presumably her mother who had the last name Peg. If Sophie were to have her mother's last name, that would indicate that she is illegitimate, which disappoints Violet because she's very attuned to her children and she could tell that there was a something between Benedict and Sophie. And because of that, she wants there to be a way for them to legitimately be together. But if she's illegitimate, even if she may be the daughter of a late nobleman, she's still illegitimate and that's pretty much impossible. So they have the little party at Bridgetton House for the little pre-teens and teens. A lot happens during this. They do that cute little dance that was trending on TikTok where they had the brid tenification of 360 on string quartet. I don't make the rules.

[00:09:59]It was a bop. It was more of a bop than the original song. I heard Brat, not on purpose. A friend of mine was playing it in the car and I didn't have the heart stellar. I wasn't a huge fan of it, which is fine. It's a level of white girl that I don't know about and that's fine. I wasn't supposed to get it. It's okay. But I do like it on the strings.

[00:10:18]It [ __ ] on the strings anyway. It's very cute. They all dancing. Gregory gets a little crush on a black girl there. One thing about the Bridgettons, they go and swirl. The only one that ended up with a white person so far is someone that ended up with a chubby wife, which might as well be a minority for a lot of white people. Hiestin has her first disappointment with a boy.

[00:10:35]>> I'm rather thirsty after such activity.

[00:10:38]>> As am I. I shall fet some lemonade.

[00:10:45]>> And it's, you know, she got to learn young. And while this is going on, the queen ends up talking with Penelopey.

[00:10:51]She calls her away from the party so that they can chat because she's like, "Hey, since when do you not write [ __ ] names in whistle down?" If you recall the dude that was having the affair, she was kind of vague like, "Hey, stop having your affair, [ __ ] we see you.

[00:11:02]She's like, why don't you say names no more? And Penelope is basically like because people know who I am now. They know my identity. They know I'm Lady Wan. And also that they know I'm a Bridgeten. I am so visible that I cannot write in a way that is neutral anymore.

[00:11:21]I have too much power, I guess, now. But now I guess she doesn't feel like she needs whistle down in that way anymore because being that she's visible, she has too much sway, I guess, now she feels. And so she wants to stop writing, to which the queen says, "No." And why do you [ __ ] keep coming to me saying some [ __ ] that you don't want to do anymore? No.

[00:11:41]>> You might consider letting me rest my column and pursue other writing.

[00:11:46]>> No.

[00:11:47]>> No. And you still can't go back to Sierra Leone either, Lady Dary. You ain't asking me for [ __ ] Damn. But eventually, she does convince the queen to let her write one last issue and let it be the end. She basically goes to her and likens how she feels trapped by what Lady Whistled Down has become and how the queen must feel trapped by how she is in the ta. She has eyes and ears everywhere. And ultimately, that's how the people of the Tawn feel now. She is the eyes and ears everywhere. And she doesn't want to do that. She doesn't want to hold the Ta hostage in that way, which I guess is fine. It's weird to care now, [ __ ] You've been doing that the entire time. Maybe even more so when they didn't know who you were, cuz you could be anywhere, [ __ ] But okay. And so eventually the queen is like, "Fine, you can let go of Lady Whistle down and Lady Dan, you can leave and I'mma miss you so bad, bitch." I cried a little. I ain't gonna lie. That little sub story, as frustrating as it was, I shed a few tears.

[00:12:43]Sophie ends up finding out from one of the servants of the Tawn, I think one of the guys she used to work with when she was at Pinwood House, that Aramea Pinwood is the woman that moved in next door. And this sends her into a spiral that Benedict and Violet notice. Violet goes to Benedict and says, "Whatever is going on with you and Sophie, it's inappropriate. Leave her be." And Benedict is like, "Well, you inappropriate, too. You [ __ ] Mr. Anderson and his bald head, but I'm not in your business, so stay out of mine."

[00:13:10]And I was like, "She should beat your ass." He runs up to Sophie and he's like, "I thought this was the only way that we can be together, being my mistress. It's my fault for falling in love with someone I shouldn't have fallen in love with. It's more passionate than that, but it's it's actually good. He was like, "It's my fault for falling in love with you." And she's like, "You cannot love me. You will have to take a wife at some point."

[00:13:31]And he's like, "Fuck, I got to take a wife for I'm the second son. They never expect me to do [ __ ] I have a nephew now. We have an heir. I'm not even a backup anymore. Why do I got to get married?" And she's like, "Damn, I do love you and you don't mean that. And also, what is life going to be like for us?" Like, what the [ __ ] What are you talking about? But I do love you. And so they get to loving. One thing they going to do, they going to eat coochie by candle light. The whole lot of them.

[00:13:54]Bunch of munches. Except for Colin, which would explain some things. I don't think he ate [ __ ] the entirety of the times that we've seen him have sex.

[00:14:01]Incredibly sauceless. And I think there's a correlation. As far as I'm concerned, pussyless eating means saucelessness living. They play string version of lose control. Not the one with Missy Elliot, but that would be hilarious. The one by Teddy Swims. I lose control.

[00:14:18]They get to where you're not next to me.

[00:14:25]They get at it. Yeah, it really is calling with no sauce, man. Love scene wise. Just But they in there from the side, from the back, from the side.

[00:14:33]Missionary missionary upside down the work. I mean, [ __ ] They going at it.

[00:14:37]And the next morning, she like, "Ah, I did a thing I said I'd never do. I [ __ ] a nobleman." Mhm. She's like, "This was a mistake. I need to go back to work." And he's like, "Nothing I did was a mistake, [ __ ] I meant it. I love you. I said it. I wasn't all worked up in the moment. I love you." And he's like, "If you are agreeing to be with me, we can figure something out. You should never have to work." She's like, "I didn't agree to be with you. Period.

[00:15:03]You don't own shit." And she's like, "I told myself I would never get caught up like this. And now, who knows? I could be pregnant." And he was like, "I want to be with you, so it doesn't matter."

[00:15:13]And so she's like, "Uh, don't want to hear that shit." And so she's off. She taking down her period days and it says she got 8 days until it. Here's the thing. Um, fertility windows are a thing. So she may not have been ovulating. She may be in the clear.

[00:15:32]Maybe. We'll see. Come to find out that Alice of all people overheard them arguing before they got to it. And when asked by the queen if there was any more clues to whether or not Benedict had been courting someone so she can get her bet that she apparently is still doing with Penelopey. She lies and says she knows nothing about it. Which good looking out [ __ ] I don't know much about you but at least you ain't no snitch ho. So Aramenta comes to Bridgeten house looking for Sophie no doubt and Posie and Sophie lock eyes but Sophie is able to slip out before being noticed. Aramenta is there to spread the word that she has missing nay stolen shoe clips and your maid may be the one who've done it. And Violet, she's like, I don't know what you're talking about, but good looking out. Violet goes to Sophie. He was like, yeah, old girl was here. Here's this letter you asked for to help you find more work as much as I would like you to stay here. I don't think it's a good idea with old girl living next door. Unfortunate, especially because Aramenta seems hellbent on finding her. Kate and Anthony do a little cameo there with they white baby. She didn't even put up a fight. Oh my god. I'd be mad as hell if I carried a big head baby for nine months and it don't look like me at all.

[00:16:39]It just look like your daddy. I'd be pissed. I'd leave it at the fire station. Like you [ __ ] betrayed me.

[00:16:44]You traied her. Like I'm joking. A lot of y'all don't get jokes. Anyway, the color comes in from the ears. Anyway, they bring away a baby from India. And when Anthony returns in particular, Violet's there to tell he's like, "Hey, your brother is tripping over a maid.

[00:16:56]Talk to him about it." Ebony is like, "Nigga, have your plum lossy mine." And he's like, "She's around our family. If that comes out, that could do irreparable damage to your unmarried sister's reputations." And Benedict is like, "Fuck you. I love her."

[00:17:09]Paraphrasing. So, Arameant had to move out because there was a new Lord Penwood that was brought into Penwood House. We don't need to know him. Asian guy. He seems nice. But what we do need to know is that he is recently married. And not only did he recently marry, he married Cresa Kalpa.

[00:17:29]Cresa Kalpa. We haven't seen that all season. What in the Georgina the [ __ ] back to cause ruckus. I love it for her.

[00:17:35]She finally got that marriage she always wanted so damn bad. She figured [ __ ] out. Girl, do you? I love that. I I can't hate on you for that. The girl's a cockroach. You can't put her down. She was sent out to Wales and she came back with a Lord Pinwood. Good for her. She wants to reenter society with ease. And so she goes to Penelopey basically looking to tell her that she's going to have a ball in which she would transition back into society and hopefully less of the queen's disapproval. And so she hosts another ball. This is where everyone will essentially come together for the end of the season and hopefully forgive Cresaith for claiming she was Lady Whistled Down last season and being, you know, all weird and and also she's married. She ain't going to bother any of y'all no more. Just go to her damn party, I guess, is the theory. Benedict and Sophie are still struggling with what it means if they were to be together. They have a little hideaway in a greenhouse or something, a garden house or something. And basically, he's like, "We could go to my cottage, proper noun, the name of the cottage, and live there together away from others of society. Sure, we cannot marry, but it's better than not being together at all."

[00:18:39]And essentially the life that he's saying is like, "Oh, we can be together, but never in person, never seen together, can't openly share love with your friends and family." And that sucks. But it is a thing that they are waging whether or not is worth the sacrifice to do. This is something that also Violet is concerned about. like she one she didn't know that Benedict loved Sophie and then he tells her and she's like of course I want you to be with a person you love but there's a lot that could be ruined by that particularly for your unmarried sisters again if you are to be with her we cannot be close you have to stay over there because we can't we can't it would ruin them it would ruin your sister's reputations and so they're like planning their life but one thing they realize in this conversation is that they don't really know a whole lot about each other. So, they share some things about each other. Benedict shares about his bisexuality, which is good timing cuz I was starting to wonder. I was like, are they trying to cure him quote unquote with the love of a woman? But he does tell her like he's been with women and he's been with men intimately and it's something that he's not ashamed of and refuses to feel bad about. Honestly, in saying that, it's like, are you more ashamed of marrying a maid? It seems like it more so than being openly bisexual. But like, what will take over? internalize classism or internalized homophobia. The world may never know. She's like, "Yeah, I don't care. I love you. I don't care." And I don't think loving people is something you should be ashamed of or feel ashamed of. And he promises to love her and that they will have a life together and she will never have to work or wait on others ever again. And she's like, "So, that sounds great. What happens when you change your mind? When you are wished away by the wind or whatever fancy that comes your way. Men make promises all the time that they don't keep. And the idea of myself, let alone a child, being left alone after that is too hard to bear. And he's like, damn, why do you think I believe you like that? And I'm like, because she don't know you, [ __ ] But I digress. And she's like, I'm illegitimate. My mother was a maid. My father was a nobleman. And Benedict is like, please believe me. Allow me to show you that if we are to be together and have a child, I would take care of him and see to him as if we were married. But again, Anthony comes back and he trying to talk some sense in this [ __ ] He's like, "Hey, I know you think you've thought this through. But have you really considered if you were to have children with her, what that would mean for those children? They would never be a part of the family, let alone society, they will always be marred with the title of illegitimate. They will be shunned by society." And Benedict is like, "I don't give a [ __ ] I want to be with her essentially. There's nothing you can say that makes me not want to be with And Sophie overhears this conversation and you know she's hearing Vic count Bridgetton Anthony Bridgetton say her own fears that she has been deafening out or trying to. And so she decides she's off attempting to leave before finding out whether or not she's pregnant. Eventually her period does come. So at least she isn't pregnant because that would make things infinitely more difficult. So she goes to leave. Benedict catches her trying to convince her to stay, saying that he'll get her apartment in the city or she can stay at Bridgetton house. And she's like, "If we are that close, we'll make the same mistake over and over and over again. We'll make the mistake that we did before, aka sleeping together. We'll make it over again." He's like, "Please do not call what we did a mistake, but she must go. She can't do this." Almost mirroring, I guess, the uncertainties that are going on with Benedict. Violet and Mr. Anderson are in an uncertain place after their sexual thing. I think also because of what Benedict said like you're [ __ ] a man in your house with your kids down the like. So she's already had a lot of anxieties and guilt around that. And now that makes it all the more worse because up until this point she's been saying like she doesn't want something serious yet cuz she doesn't know if she's ready for that.

[00:22:32]But she wants to enjoy him and she wants to touch and be touched by him and she wants to feel things. And he basically says like we can take marriage completely off the table. And she like take a clear what the [ __ ] He's like, "What do you mean you're taking it off the table? You don't want to marry me?

[00:22:46]You don't want to marry me?" And he's like, "I'm trying to take pressure off of you. Of course, I'd love to marry you, but I don't want you to feel like I'm making you do anything." But eventually, for better or worse, they do end up separating because she's like, "I want to experience things and live life, and I don't want to be married yet. I want to just experience you and be with you." and he's like, "Dude, I find this very confusing and it's hard and I am can't do this anymore." And they at least momentarily break up. I never read the Violet book, so I don't know how that goes or if there's anything else with Mr. Anderson, but at least momentarily that's where things are with him.

[00:23:26]Francesca and Michaela have built a friendship that they're really relishing in, and so is John. He's actually very comforted by it, which makes the whole next section so heartbreaking because he goes to bed complaining of a headache and does not wake up. Damn, my [ __ ] dead. John is dead and Francesca is crushed. Her entire home is sent into mourning and they hold his funeral at Bridgetton House. Benedict does the eulogy and it's pretty clear that for obvious reasons, Franchesca isn't doing well. Not just because the man she loves has suddenly died with no warning or anything. He just went to bed and didn't wake up. But there's also all of the attention and pressure that is put on her to talk with people and share the grief with them. And Sophie notices this and is nice enough to give her an excuse to leave the group for a bit. And they get on the conversation living after losing someone dear to you, which leads Sophie to talk about her mother. And the only thing she has is her necklace and that is where she realized she has actually lost it. We'll find out later.

[00:24:34]She has lost it when she was [ __ ] Benedict in the bedroom. So it's under his bed. Benedict is also struggling not just because of the sudden death of John Kil Martin, but perhaps by the reality that life is fleeting and he has finally fallen in love, but because of something as meaningless as he feels inconsequential as class. He cannot be with her. He's frustrated too that Violet has again always wanted them to find love matches and now he has one and she's like I don't think you should be together. How hypocritical. But now that Violet knows that he loves her thought he was just messing around with her because he a hoe and he always been a hoe and he liked to dally and ruin people's lives in that way apparently or she's concerned that that is the case.

[00:25:12]She's like I want to find evidence that Sophie may be legitimate. And so now that someone else is at Pinwood House, Sophie is hoping to move back there. But upon returning, she finds out that the position that she wanted is no longer available and that the only place she could go is with a family who is moving to the Americas. She claims that this works in a way because she feels like she needs to get away from Benedict and society. And theoretically, she's been gifted an opportunity to do just that.

[00:25:39]But that's more cut and dry than emotions are generally, isn't it? That ain't how that [ __ ] work. Francesca still mourning, has to go through the trauma of thinking she's pregnant only to find out she's not. It's very invasive. She thinks she's pregnant. The lawyers or the people that do estates force her to have a very invasive, and not at all how they do it now, cervical exam. How monstrous. How barbaric.

[00:26:05]Wouldn't that be weird if people use that little duck bill thing and rip open your cervix? Great thing we figured that out. There is something so particularly invasive about it. Right after Jon dies and luckily Benedict is there to stand up for her, but ultimately the exam has to be done. She finds out she is not with child and she is so distraught for not being able to quote give him the one thing that was her duty to do the one thing that was requested of her. Now my [ __ ] died. Hey, we're back. I got rested. She's right next to me. My other computer died. So PC it is, [ __ ] Also, I got my grill in.

[00:26:44]I don't know why. There's something so funny about like showing your retainers like you got a grill. All right, Miley Cyrus. I don't per with some shades on.

[00:26:52]Anyway, so yeah, she's realing. She's like, I couldn't give him kids. That was the only thing I was supposed to do in life. That's the only purpose of being a wife and being a mother is to pop out kids. My mama coming up to me like, oh, I know what it's like to lose the love of your life. And it's like, no, you don't. Cuz you had eight kids. You popped out eight kids and y'all had a lot of time together. Y'all had years together. I was with him like less than a year and I couldn't give him kids and now he's dead. And if we're going like trauma for trauma, she did. She kind of she got you. So Benedict finds out about Sophie's plans to leave the family soon after John's funeral. Violet goes up to him saying she apologizes. She didn't understand or process that he felt that seriously about her. But again, if you're going to be with her, you got to understand what you're giving up. We can probably only write to you. We can't see you. who we can't visit much, can't spend important holidays and events together. If the family seems close to Benedict, it could ruin his siblings wedding prospects and just their life in society overall. But if if you genuinely love this person to sacrifice those things, please know I wouldn't love you any less and I would want you to do what makes you happy and if she makes you happy, I support it. So Posie weirdass gets the opportunity to sneak out of the house and head over to Bridgen house with an excuse that allows her to warn Sophie that they have moved in next door. And mama wishes to find you and them damn shoe clips. This only furthers the prospect that leaving with the family to the Americas is the best idea for her cuz they'll never find her if she go over to America. Who the [ __ ] [ __ ] shoe clips? So she's off to America. But Benedict, you know, with the death of John and the sudden realization that life could end at any moment, he's like, I want to take the sacrifice for Sophie, life is too short to be without the person you love. And so he goes racing to Bridgetton house looking for her, looking for a wedding ring, I assume, an heirloom that he can give to Sophie. He also finds her necklace under his bed. And perhaps looking at the necklace, at this very moment, he realizes that this is familiar. It looks suspiciously close to the necklace that the woman in silver wore all those months ago. As a matter of fact, Sophie's neckline, lips, chin, voice, they all resemble the lady in silver. He checks his paintings to see that Sophie was the lady in silver all along. And she has left before he could confront her about hiding the fact that she is that person. Come to find out, she ain't even leaving for America. She actually just got arrested because Arament's [ __ ] ass don't found her and she has her arrested for thievery and impersonating nobility. Eventually, Benedict is made aware that she's been arrested and she's being held in prison awaiting trial for her thievery. And Aramea of all people goes to visit Sophie saying that she had a proposition. Essentially, Aramenta proposes that if she were to confess Sophie, it would save a lot of people a lot of trouble. Like whether or not she stole it, it doesn't matter. You should save the Bridgetton name. Save the name of the servants who will go on a sword to save her in her defense. Why even put them through all that trouble when you're a lying scheming little sea urchin, street urchin? Why do I always [ __ ] that up? Anyway, they have a 5-second trial in which Benedict bursts in with Violet there to support him. And they are both Sophie's character witness being that this maid is being supported by the son of the late Vic Count Edmund Bridgetton, brother of Vicount Anthony Bridgetton and brother-in-law of the Duke of Hastings. RIP Rag Page. He not dead. He just don't want to be in the show anymore. The judge is like, "Okay, can the Bridgettons just pay you for these damn shoe clips and call it a day because I this is a whole lot of work and whatever." But Arament is like, "No, I'm not letting it go." Because she also impersonated nobility at a ball that the Daager Vic contest Bridgetton hosted.

[00:30:45]Benedict and Violet basically say that she doesn't have a time to mount a defense for that and that they should let her out on bail and stay with the Bridgetens as they prepare. And so in that meantime, she's let out on bail.

[00:30:57]And Benedict confronts Sophie about her identity as the lady in silver. She apologizes, saying that she always thought that if he found her and that the woman that he fell in love for and was searching for was nothing but a maid, he'd be disappointed to realize all he has left is Sophie. And he's frustrated though because he's like, "You didn't think I could handle it?"

[00:31:17]No. Eventually, they make up. She tells them the entire story of her upbringing and that her father was the Earl of Penwood and that he left her nothing in his will. And Benedict is like, "Your father, the Earl of Penwood, left you nothing." And you know this, why?

[00:31:34]She's like, "Because Arama always told me that he left me nothing." He was like, "Did you see the will?" And she was like, "No, I guess there's a part of me that subconsciously didn't want to see it affirmed in writing, and I didn't know what to do with that." And he was like, "That [ __ ] hate you. She's hated you since the day she met you. Do you think she would be honest about what your father did and didn't leave you?"

[00:31:55]So they make up, they decide to let themselves feel the feelings. They have sex in a very nice bubble bath. Not bubble bath, maybe like a rose water milk situation. They bring the bathtub into the bedroom next to the fireplace.

[00:32:09]Got to be careful though [ __ ] in the tub there. Like it sounds all well and good until you get a yeast infection. So the Bridgetton gets to working. Violet goes to Lady Danbury just a few days before she is to leave for Sierra Leon and says essentially do you think that we could get the queen to overlook the fact that he's marrying a maid and she's like no unlikely it's great gossip she loves fancifulness but I doubt very much that she would do that meanwhile while that's happening Sophie is looking through old Penwood house having Eloise go in there to chat up Cresa while she go looks for her father's original will There is where she sees in the will, not only did he leave her in the inheritance, she finds out that Arameus snake ass was housing her because in the will, whoever looked after her would get a £4,000 stipend every year. And so that's why she kept her as a maid so she can say, "I'm on my goodwill." No, [ __ ] She gets money by keeping Sophie every year post his death. And so Sophie, Benedict, and then Alice, who randomly wants to I don't really get who she I don't understand the mandriches, but whatever. She's there. It's fine.

[00:33:19]She wants to help them, too. So anyway, long story short, Lady Daby brings that to the queen. She's like, "No, as much as that's fun, I wanted to win my bet that he would get married, but if he's marrying a maid, that doesn't count."

[00:33:32]But for some reason, maybe because Alice wants unlikely people to ascend in the aristocracy, maybe the way she did, she says, "Why don't you ignore the fact that she's a maid and just say, wow, this an extraordinary woman like a [ __ ] that can hold down that can stop rake superior Benedict Bridgetton and make him settle down is a [ __ ] maid.

[00:33:55]Wouldn't you want to know more about that bitch?" So what they do is have Sophie sneak in to the queen's sendaway ball for Lady Danbury and have her confront Aramea saying that we saw the [ __ ] will and that I was supposed to get a dowy that you stole my dowy and added it to Roseman's diary cuz she wasn't getting no [ __ ] and that's why she suddenly got engaged. She ended up getting engaged really quick and then he found out she ain't got no money and then he left her ass at the queen's party. How embarrassing. And they're like, "What we're going to do is we're going to settle this feigning nobility [ __ ] because I have a whole matter of court where you've been stealing from me my entire [ __ ] life. So, do you want to settle this or no? You're going to give me my dowy and you're going to shut the [ __ ] up." And so, she's like, "Okay, well, I guess I'll shut the [ __ ] up." And she leaves. Arena is gone and no more for us to worry about. And then the queen comes in looking to meet Benedict Paramore. And this is where they lie and say she is the niece of the late Lord Pinwood. And though the queen knows they're lying. She's like, "Oh, I do love mess though." And then she just start a cackling cackling like Kamla. Just like I love mess.

[00:35:05]Roseman's fiance leaves her because she broke. Posie ends up liking this one dorky dude and that's nice. I still want to see her little story. She She really weird. I like her. And now Sophie comes out into the party openly with Benedict on the dance floor and everyone's like, "Who is this girl? We've never heard of her. Oh, she's she's some girl from out of town. She's a part of a lineage out of town. So, you don't know about her.

[00:35:26]She's she's secret." Back to Franchesca and Michaela. Franchesca is still mourning. And Michaela was there helping her through it. And they had become quite good friends since Jon's passing.

[00:35:36]But next thing you know, that [ __ ] just wakes up and leaves. Even though Franchesca asked her to stay while they look for whoever the next kill Martin heir is. And then Michaela just left wordlessly. Damn, I was just starting to like you, [ __ ] What you Where you going now? And the season ends with a new pamphlet from Lady Whistled Down, but it's not from Penelope. It's from a new person who has decided to take up her mantle and start writing as Lady Whistled Down without her permission.

[00:36:04]And that's the new secret. Who's Lady Whistled Down? It's Alice. I'm pretty sure it's Alice. That's the only person that makes sense and the only person that would do that. So, yeah, I think this was a pretty good season. I think it had some really high highs. The lows weren't low enough that it made me want to turn it off the way that it did with season 3. I like Benedict and Sophie. It was quite convoluted though. I will say this season, even as I'm retelling this, I'm realizing I've been talking for two plus hours. There's just so much. And it if I had to do a critique of this season, it's like they did bite off a lot to Chew. But I love Sophie and Benedict. Benedict I was really endeared to even though I found him very annoying even through this season as well. And yeah, I'm excited for next season. I'm excited to see what happens particularly with Francesca and Michaela cuz I believe they're the main couple. Spoiler for next season.
