What Soviet Weapons Did German Troops Want? #shorts
Added:What Soviet weapons did German troops want? The greatest Soviet prize was the PPSH41. With a 1,250 rounds per minute fire rate, 71 round drum magazines, and brutally reliable in conditions that jammed German weapons, Germans loved it so much Berlin launched a conversion program, replacing barrels and magazine adapters to fire German 9mm ammunition.
Captured PPSH41s were officially reissued to German troops, and entire units carried them. Then there's the Soviet 120mm M1938 mortar. After encountering the devastating firepower of the Soviet heavy mortars during Operation Barbar Roa, the Germans captured large quantities and pressed them into service. Impressed by the weapon's range and mobility, Germany eventually produced an almost exact reverse engineered copy which they designated as the 12 cm Gran Verer 42.
