During GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy like FOUNDAYO, patients may experience temporary weight fluctuations due to factors such as bowel movements and digestive changes, which can cause scale readings to vary by 1-2 pounds even when actual body weight remains stable; these fluctuations are normal and should not cause concern, as they often resolve with continued treatment and proper monitoring.

FOUNDAYO Week 2 • Basal insulin needs have increased (which was expected, will likely need toAdded:
Okay, week two found a o rapid fire.
Let's go.
Um, blood sugar. I had to increase my basal rate a little bit because I noticed certain times of the day that my blood sugar was running a little bit higher than normal. So, I had to increase my basal from like 0.8 units to 1 unit per hour and that seemed to have done the trick. I also have to be very careful. Um, I think I'm going to have to increase my sensitivity factor at some point. Um, we'll talk about that later this week. Someone asked about between the injections and the found a o I haven't really noticed a difference in food noise. I don't think there's a huge difference in my appetite. Like I don't feel hungry, but I do notice that I am eating more of the plate that I normally would. Um, I can I'm going to bed and I feel just a little bit fuller, a little bit heavier. So, as far as weight, this is where it gets a little bit tricky because I normally weigh myself every Sunday night just to be consistent. Last Sunday it said 125.4 something like that. This Sunday I knew be up. It said 127. I wasn't surprised by that. Um, because my bowel movements weren't great over the past, you know, two to four days. Sorry to be TMI, but just sharing my journey. Um, like [clears throat] I that's that Sunday night I just felt heavier. My belly was a little bit distended. I just I felt really full. So, I figured you know, that's the scale's going to be higher, but it may not be a true weight.
Following day I did have a bowel movement and I did weigh myself again and the scale actually said like 124.6.
So, kind of hard to get an accurate picture between all of these different weights. If I had to guess, I would say that I might have gained one maybe up to two pounds of true weight over this past week. Again, that could just be that normal fluctuation of weight. So, I'm not too concerned about that. Someone asked about switching from Zepbound to the found a o for weight loss specifically. Obviously, talk to your doctor. I think it's going to be a dependent upon a lot of different things. How much weight do you have left to lose? What dose of Zepbound were you on? You know, all these different things. It's also important to keep in mind that when we're looking at the weight loss in trials, Found out wasn't as effective as Zepbound, but still a lot better than not being on anything at all.
As for right now, I do think I'm going to go up on my Found out dose after I finish the current dose. I'm currently on 2.5 mg. I will go up to the 5.5 mg, I think.
I might see a better equivalent of where I was at with the Zepbound with that dose, so yeah.
Follow along as I finish out this next 2 weeks, and let's see what happens.
