[00:00:07]Today is May 30th. Saint Joan of Arc was just 17 years old when she led the armies of France to victory, [music] not by her own strength, but because she heard the voice of God.

[00:00:19]Born in 1412 [music] to a poor farming family, Joan began receiving visions of Saint Michael the Archangel, Saint Catherine, [music] and Saint Margaret.

[00:00:29]They told her, "Go and save France."

[00:00:33]At the time, France was broken [music] by civil war and foreign occupation.

[00:00:38]Joan convinced King Charles VII to give her troops, and against all odds, she led [music] them into battle. Wearing armor and carrying her banner with the name of Jesus, Joan brought hope and courage back to her nation.

[00:00:52]But her mission was costly. Captured by enemy forces, she was handed over to corrupt church officials, tried for heresy, and burned at the stake at just 19 years old.

[00:01:04]Her final word was, "Jesus." Joan was later exonerated and canonized in 1920.
