Okay guys, let's get started. So, what are we using? As I said, we're using uh four SK of our oatmeal color uh and one ske of our top color. Okay. Uh what else? I will also use this thin black yarn for the nose and uh mouth. And I will use this eyes uh and they will be attached by a glue gun. So you will need to have a glue gun or as a alternative you can make eyes with black yarn. Uh if you want to buy this eyes, I will put a link underneath. I bought them on Amazon. Uh it will be under the video.
We also need stuffing for the head and for the uh legs of the ship. So, let's get started. We're starting with our uh oatmeal color. We're placing it in front of us like that. I will also use scissors obviously uh lighter. And I will also use this marker to mark the rows. Uh I bought it uh on Amazon too. I will put the link underneath the video.
You can buy it there. So this is how it will start. This is the tail. This is working yarn. Working yarn goes on the top. You're creating a loop. Insert your hand. Grab working yarn. Pull it out.
You just created first stitch. Pull the working yarn down. Make it smaller. And now we're making three stitches. This is first stitch. Insert your hand. Grab working yarn. Pull it out. One, two, three. We are now making a chain of six using the three stitches.
So I'm inserting my hand inside the stitch and then I'm going with this uh fingers inside this first stitch here.
Okay, from here to here. See, I inserted my hand. I'm grabbing working yarn. I'm pulling it out. I'm creating two stitches. Now I am grabbing working yarn and pulling it through these two stitches. So I created my first single crochet stitch. Now I'm creating five more. And I'm going every time in the same stitch. Go inside. Pull yarn out two stitches. Pull yarn through two stitches. And then make three and three more to have six total. So five and six. And uh to count how many stitches you have. This is working stitch. You're not counting. You're counting by the stitches, by the chain.
One, two, three, four, five, six. So, you made six. And now you can put the marker to mark where we had the last stitch done. And now we're making 12 stitches from this six. We will be going inside every stitch on the back of the stitch twice in every stitch. So the hand now is in last stitch. Going in the first stitch. First time grab working yarn. Pull it out. Two stitches. Pull yarn through. Second time. The same stitch. Go in. Grab working yarn. Two stitches. Pull it through. Now I will do the same around uh every uh stitch. So this is number six. Five more. And from six stitches we will go to 12. Okay guys, so now we have 12 stitches. See we have this beautiful flower. And uh I moved my marker to the last stitch that I made. I still have working stitch here. So what are we doing in this row? In the next row, this is row number three. We are go inside every stitch again the back of the stitch. in uh first stitch I am simply knitting single crochet and then I am in a actually in this one I'm knitting two and the same. So one and two and then next stitch it will be just one single crochet and then I will be alternating two one two one all the way around and we will have we will increase but it will be in every other stitch and I will be back.
Okay guys, so we're done with our next row. It was row number three. Now we are on the row number four. So we're moving our marker and this row we are knitting uh sorry crocheting two stitches in one in the same stitch and then we are crocheting one single crochet in each of the two next. So we are increasing the number of stitches that has only one stitch inside. So two one one two one one and this way all the way around. This will be row number four. In the row number five there will we will be increasing again. So it will be two in one and then one two three just single crochet and then two in one and single crochet. And I will write it down underneath the video. But I will keep crocheting this way increasing and making the uh rug bigger and bigger until I use all four stitches. Before I go, let me show you how to connect the yarn uh when you're done with your uh ske and you need to connect another ske.
So the simplest way to connect just make a simple knot like that. And especially for this uh kind of project that is what I highly recommend. You just make a knot. Pull it and uh tie it in both direction. Cut the tail. This is what you have. You can hardly see it especially on the rug. And uh because it's a rug, you will be laying down on it. I would suggest to do it this way because then you will not have that plastic piece inside when you are burning the end. So anyway, let's keep crocheting until we use all four skes.

Okay guys, so here it is. I used all four skans. Now let's measure the uh weeds. The widths will be 32 32 33 inches uh wide. That's how uh many how how many inches you will get using four skes of yarn. So what are we doing now?
Now I will show you how to make a head.
Okay, the head for the uh rug. We're taking our We're taking our taupe color and we're placing it in front of us like that.
This is the tail. This is working yarn.
And now working yarn goes on the top.
Uh actually we'll need to leave a little tail to connect the bottom. So about 5 8 in. Then make a loop. Insert your hand.
Grab working yarn. Pull it out. So now we have first stitch. Make it a little bit smaller. And now we're casting on 12 stitches. So this is and we will be knitting the hat guys, not crocheting.
So this is the first stitch. Insert your hand. Grab working yarn. Pull it out.
This is second stitch. Uh I'm pressing the button of the stitch to keep the size of the stitch the same. And now I will be uh making 12 stitches. As I said, that will be the size of our head.
Okay. So when you have your 12 stitches, place the yarn. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10.
Two more. Place the yarn in front of you.
And I will actually flip it on another side the same way I am doing when I'm making a blanket. So this is the chain.
Flip. Connect. Make a circle. This tail goes inside this stitch. Not this last one. This stitch from inside out.
Like that. You connected it. Now we will be knitting around. And we will be using the middle part of this stitch. Not the top, not the bottom. This middle part.
Lift it. Insert your hand. Grab working yarn. Pull out. See this bump in the middle? Lift it. Insert your finger.
Grab working yarn. Pull it out. So, we will need to have 12 stitches to pull out the first row. Okay. So, when we are done with pulling out the first row, we will keep knitting around until we have 10 stitches, guys. Okay. I think it's 10. One, two, three, four, five, six, seven. No, sorry. It's eight stitches because the head on the top will be oatmeal. It's eight stitches. So, this is our first row. That's all we will need. Seven more rows. Here we are. Last two kind of tricky. Don't miss them. So, here is our last stitch. And I will unwind it because it looks like it's pearled. And we need it. Knit. So, this is yarn. This is the loop. yarn goes inside the loop to make that last stitch looking nicely. So here we are. We connected and uh knitted the circle of 12 stitches. So now we will keep knitting this way. As I said uh four seven more rows. We need eight rows total. After a few rows, like after second row, you can actually uh fold this in two like that.
And then keep knitting. This is the tail. It's showing you where you are, what row, what number row you're starting. See? One, two. We're on the row number three. So, keep knitting this way until you have eight rows total.
One, two, three, eight. I'll be back.
Okay, guys. We're done with uh our eight rows. I just cut the taupe yarn and we will attach our uh oatmeal color. Uh you can make a very simple knot for this project. You really don't need to use burning. Just make it tight and cut the tails close to the yarn. Here it is. So here is our uh oatmeal. So what are we doing? First row of oatmeal simple knitting stitch and after that we will start our uh seed stitch pattern because seed stitch will give us this kind of bumpy appearance for the uh top of the head for the uh sheep. So here we are.
So we will knit this first stitch to hide that connection. See? And now we will uh pearl this stitch. What I will do guys, I will actually pearl it twice.
So see I pearled it and I will pearl it one more time. This way the bump will be a little bit bigger. So it's what then I need. That's what we need. we need kind of bumpy uh curly uh appearance. So here one knitted one pearl and then pearl again then knit. So that's what I will do uh all the way around and then I will keep doing it for uh let's see one two three four five four five rows guys. Uh it depends how long you will uh want the head for the shape to be because some people like to make it really like a all really long. Uh so here we are. So this is our second row. I will make four more rows the same way. Just uh start stop. I will uh didn't tell you. So here we are.
Let's see. This is knit. This is pearl.
So, uh what are we doing in the next row? We are switching because it's a seed stitch. So, the stitch that was pearled will be knitted and the one that was knitted will be pearled. And I'm pearling it twice to make that bump a little bit bigger. Okay. So, that's the seed stitch. Knit, pearl. And then next row, uh alternate. And that will give us that bumpy appearance. So as I said, I will do four more rows and I'll be back.
Okay. Okay guys, we are back. So see we have eight of the top and then we have four rows of uh uh oatmeal. And we used our seed stitch. And I forgot to tell you guys when we had 12 stitches, we needed to add one more. We needed to increase. The reason because uh seed stitch works only on uneven number of stitches and we had 12 here. So when I was knitting here, I added one stitch here in the middle. It's very simple between stitches. You're just going inside and creating extra stitch. And then you're knitting uh how I showed you one knit, one pearl, and actually two pearl. See, now bumps are a little bit bigger. So what are we doing now? We will cut the yarn. The oatmeal one.
I usually burn the end to prevent unraveling. Now I will take some of the stuffing I have.
I will stuff it in the head. And we will uh close the head on both sides. And it doesn't matter which side. Let's do the top first. So here is our tail.
You're taking the tail and inserting inside every stitch from inside out.
That will close the top of the head like this.
Then pull it.
And when you're done with all stitches, pull it tightly to close the top of the sheep head.
Here we are. pull and you just connect it. And then you can go inside the stitch. Uh I think we missed one stitch.
And then inside the stitch that we went already.
Here we are. See, it's nice and bumpy.
The same uh like the and then p uh push the tail inside and you have a head for the sheep. So now we will connect the bottom. I will insert a stitch inside the same inside every stitch from inside out the top part of the stitch or the out part of this stitch. And then we will pull and connect the same way as we did on the top to create our sheep hat.
Here we are. Now go inside two more stitches that we went already to have a nice closure and beautiful like flower like connection. Now you can just simply tuck it in. It will not go anywhere.
Chanel yarn is very uh sticky to each other. So here is our head. So what are we doing now? We are taking our glue gun and we are attaching our eyes. We can make uh ears first, but let's attach eyes first. So, I will put some glue on the right eye and attach it.
And then I will do the same for the other eye.
Some glue and attach it on the left side. Here we are. Nice and cute. And now, as long as we're working on the face, let's cut the black yarn.
And let's make a nose and mouth.
So, what I will do, I will fold it in two and then I will place the yarn inside one of the stitches across from the eye here. And then I will put the other part over here. And I'm making uh it in two to make it a little bit thicker. So now this yarn will go inside and it will go out underneath and then we will actually use our glue gun to attach this uh part. So just put some glue on one side and on another. So now our nose is nicely attached.
Now this yarn goes underneath and out to create the nose.
Here we are. Pull it a little bit down.
Not too much. And then it will go inside and on the side of the face to create the mouse. Okay. So here will be our mouse and it will go inside here. The same way guys I will be using the glue gun. You can simply attach it by uh a knot. Uh, I think it's easier to just use a little bit of glue and you attach the mouse where you want it to be. I like my uh stuffed animals to have a smiley face. So, I always create a smiley face. So, your nose can go a little bit lower.
Here you go.
Okay. So, here it is. Now, we don't need the glue gun anymore. We'll plug it out.
So, what I will do now, I will show you how to make the ears. The ears will be the same color as the head. It will be tall. So, here it is.
Find the two stitches here on the side.
And then insert your finger. Leave a tail about five inches. Grab working yarn. Pull it out and then make two two stitches. Now knit two stitches.
One more row. So two rows total. Now next row, row number three.
One stitch, go in the middle, create the third stitch, and then knit this second one. Or now it's third one. Now we will need to knit two more rows. And if you want the ears to be a little bit longer, you can make three rows. I will make just two. So it was three in the second row. Now it was third row. This is row number four.
And then one more row of three.
And after we have a row of three, we will decrease.
So remember, we started with two, then we knitted one row of two, then we make it three and knitted three rows of three. Now knit first.
Try to make them small because otherwise they will not look good. And then you knited two together like that. And now after you have two, you knitted these two together to make just one. So here we are. Our ears ready. Cut.
Burn the end to prevent unraveling. Tail goes inside the last stitch. Pull. So now hide it on the back like that. Go in the back. And what I usually do, I burn the end. Attach it to any stitch like that. So now remember that uh end that we had here. Don't forget it. We need it now. So it goes back from underneath inside one of the stitches and then uh over this stitch and then you kind of and then here out and you're kind of pulling it together. Okay. The reason uh we're doing it we're trying to make ear smaller here. Now we can go back.
Here we are. See, it's holding nicely.
And now this stitch uh this stitch, this yarn can go on the back. I will make a knot to hide it or to secure it. And then it could go inside. Just simply tuck it in. Here we are. Our ear is ready. And now I will make another one and I'll be back.
Okay guys, so here it is. Look at this cute face. Is it cute? It looks exactly like a sheep face. And here is our rug.
So, we will be attaching this head to the end of the rug that it would look like that when the rug is done. So, to do it, I will take uh yarn.
I will take you know probably about 25 inches uh maybe 30. And we will start attaching it uh on the back first. So let's put it. Oh, I didn't hide the end of the ear. Here it is.
Okay. So what I will do, I will start doing it from behind.
So go inside the oatmeal and then inside one of the stitches on the head and then pull leaving a tail to connect. And then do it again a few times to connect the back of the head. one stitch underneath the rug and then one stitch of the head.
Here we are. So the back of the head is connected. So now we will be connecting the top and then we will do it the same way. Let me put it like that. So, one stitch will go inside the rug and one will go inside the head. And then keep doing it until you attach the whole head nicely to the rug.
Here we are.
A little bit low, but it will work.
Then when you reach this uh tail where we started, that's where we can make a knot. Make another knot.
Our head is nicely connected. Cut the tail.
One tail. Cut another tail. And then what I will do, I will burn the end nicely to prevent unraveling. Here you go. Our head is nicely attached to the rug. Okay. So, what are we doing now guys? We are attaching the uh legs and then a tail. So, for the leg, we are going on the uh right side. If you're looking from that side, take the yarn. And so, it's eight stitches from here. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 and then we're using three here.
So what are we doing? We are insert.
This is the yarn. We are using top and bottom. Three stitches. First we're using bottom and we are pushing yarn through. One, two, and three. So we have three stitches.
And then we are making three stitches on this side. One. This one we're knitting.
We're not pushing them through. One, two, three. We have six stitches. So, what are we doing now? We are knitting six rows. I will knit six rows. And I will be back. Okay, guys. So, here's our first leg. Six stitches. Uh, three on this side and three on this side. Now I will put in a little bit of the stuffing. I will cut the yarn about 6 8 inches and I will insert it from inside out. And that will uh finish creating our first leg. And then I will create the same leg on another side. Just make sure that you're making it on the same level.
Here we are.
This is our leg. And I actually made the second one already. So here is our second leg. And now we will create a back leg. The back leg will be one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Also eight stitches away. And this one we will make uh the same way only this one will have five stitches not six because this leg will be a little bit smaller. So the same way guys we are using two back side of the stitch. Pull push yarn through like that and then use the top part to create three stitches.
Oh god. Let me start all over. So we're doing it here. Two stitches. We are pushing yarn through two.
One and two. And now this three. One, two, three will be the top part of the stitch. One, two, three. See, we have five stitches. The tail we can hide on the back when we're done. So the same way I will be knitting six rows. So, we did six stitches, six rows for the front leg. And now we're making five stitches, six rows. And then I'll be back and I will show you what to do next. Okay, guys. Here we are. Five stitches, six rows. I will use a little bit of stuffing to put in the back leg. The same way I can put more uh yarn goes in every stitch from inside out.
like that.
And here we are. Connect. And then go inside the uh the first two stitches.
You inserted it already to make it nice and round. Now you can just simply tuck it in. It will not go anywhere. So here's our leg. We have a tail here. You can go on the back and either tuck it in or another way you can simply burn it and attach it to any stitch like that. So here is our second leg. I created the other leg on the other side. Here it is. We have two legs now. And now in between we will put a little tail in the middle. So the tail for the tail we are inserting actually the finger grabbing working yarn pull it out one and two.
Now we will be just knitting these two knit one knit two knit one knit two. So when you're knitting two stitches, they are creating this beautiful uh like a chain and it looks little bit like a tail.
See, look how cute it is. So knit for a few rows. One, two, three, four, five rows I made.
Now we can take two together and pull the yarn through to connect the top.
Then you can hide the tail of the yarn in between and again simply burn the end of the yarn and attach it to any stitch. So here we are. Here is the beginning of the tail here. The same way I can simply burn it.
Wait until it's burning. And it's not burning. And then attach it to any stitch. Like that. Here we are. Our beautiful T is ready. So, our ship is ready, guys. Beautiful rug that your child will like. Here we are. Here is the leg. So, four skes of uh oatmeal, one ske of uh taupe, and you have this gorgeous uh rug for your child.
