[00:00:10]We've got Tanya's 148 scale military miniature series British Sherman 1C Firefly.

[00:00:21]Military Miniature Series number 32.

[00:00:26]So, boom.

[00:00:31]All the detail on there. One cool color scheme there.

[00:00:36]Made in Japan. It says obviously the other side is where it's dusty.

[00:00:48]We haven't got copyright date on this, have we? Or did I miss copyright 2006?

[00:00:54]Obviously, there's the details on that end.

[00:01:01]diecast metal chassis.

[00:01:04]Let's pop the box open.

[00:01:07]I think I've had this kit for 5 years.

[00:01:10]I've never reviewed it. Hey ho. But that's about to change. There's the spruce.

[00:01:28]bag and the instructions and decals and pop that. Pop them there.

[00:02:04]Okay, that's that sorted. Uh, yeah, this one a little bit information.

[00:02:11]Overall length 151 mm. Little bit of history.

[00:02:16]Tools you need down the bottom of the page.

[00:02:20]Again, this is one of these opening up one. The decals I'd put safely inside the instruction booklet paints required obviously. Step one, gluing bits to the hole. Gluing gluing the transmission cover to the hole and the back plate.

[00:02:48]Obviously, I think they're air filters.

[00:02:54]again building up the uh drive sprocket.

[00:03:00]You got Oh, it's one one's one one side and one's the other.

[00:03:13]whatever transposed. Obviously building up the the bogey system, the wheels and return rollers there. So you got to make sure you get the or orientation right and the wheels the right right way round fitting them in.

[00:03:36]Then following the gluing sequence on here to get them in the right place.

[00:03:42]Boom. There's your idler wheels going on.

[00:03:49]Then we have the tracks.

[00:03:53]So obviously locate the pin in there and then you follow the sequence that way round to do the tracks on both sides.

[00:04:07]Okay.

[00:04:11]I actually think they they are black. And then we do a a thing of um dark eye around the edge. Memory serves.

[00:04:24]And attaching the engine cover.

[00:04:27]Again, we've got a little jig there for the gun bracket.

[00:04:35]fitting the tools on.

[00:04:40]Shows you how to line up the jig there.

[00:04:44]Putting the the bits of applique armor on, fire extinguishers, exhausts, gun. I think that's a gun cleaning kit.

[00:05:06]and your uh lifting hooks there.

[00:05:14]And then we're going to seven.

[00:05:17]Obviously, you got the option to have this open or closed. I believe this doesn't come come with any figures.

[00:05:30]Again, we got applique armor there.

[00:05:34]Covering the gun, the gun pull up at the front. Putting the lights on.

[00:05:42]Fitting these two bits of armor on the front.

[00:05:48]Show that shows it. It shows it shows it at the angle it's supposed to be.

[00:05:55]Again, turret. So, we've got to make up the gun barrel.

[00:06:00]One piece with a little muzzle brake at the end. Felt it in.

[00:06:08]Poly caps.

[00:06:11]Building up the turret. Putting the gun in.

[00:06:15]Okay. The gun's got You've got to really glue the gun in there. So, my advice is glue it. Make sure it's you get it sitting in putting on on the uh lifting eyes.

[00:06:33]I think that's a shell hatch.

[00:06:36]Shell ejection hatch.

[00:06:39]Again, this is the other side. So again, that's applique armor for that side. So the obviously the gunner don't get knocked out.

[00:06:52]fit the hatch open or closed. Again, there's no crew figure with this. If if you get a crew figure, go for it.

[00:07:01]Um, then we got to screw the two parts together. So, this this piece of armor is two parts, so that's quite handy.

[00:07:13]Then we got one, two, three, four camo schemes, all green.

[00:07:22]So we got B Squadron, East Riding Yomenry, 33rd Armor Brigade, January to February 1945, Ardens. So that's battle of the bulge and 23rd to SARS 11 AR armored division 1944 Page France.

[00:07:43]So obviously this one's got a little bit of white underneath there. The reason it's got the white under there is to sort of confuse the enemy because they if they saw a firefly they'd target the rest they target the Firefly. Again the Firefly was designed to take out armor.

[00:08:01]Um I but I digress.

[00:08:04]C is fourth7th Royal Royal Dragoon Guards, Eighth Armored Brigade 1944 Hollands.

[00:08:19]And finally, this is another one with the white on there. This third and fourth country of county of London, Ymanry, fourth armor grade, 1945, Rottenberg, Germany.

[00:08:40]I'll have to have a look at the decals on that. See if that's that looks like it says I think that's a desert rat to be honest.

[00:08:49]Oh yeah, that's the instructions.

[00:08:54]So let's have a look at the in decals.

[00:09:12]Oh yes, that's the desert rats.

[00:09:18]fairly thick but they will go down really nicely.

[00:09:22]They take some uh decal setting solution quite decal um micro quite nicely again. Yeah, very nice too.

[00:09:43]And this is the bit I was struggling to get out of the out the carboard carrier.

[00:09:47]So this is the uh diecast metal lower hole.

[00:09:57]Again, copyright 2004. So this was used on the other the earlier Shermans they did.

[00:10:03]One of which you've seen on me build on here.

[00:10:07]Obviously it did. The one of the Shermans I have built didn't have a metal hull because this is a later version. Again, it's the um easy8.

[00:10:20]So add a nice bit of weight to the weight to the kit.

[00:10:25]Again, you do have to clean them clean these up a little bit. A little bit of flash on the seam on there.

[00:10:34]So I will clean obviously the wheels.

[00:10:38]wheel mounts a little bit high on that side.

[00:10:42]So, we'll have to clean this up a little bit.

[00:10:46]But again, they work. They they do fetal nicely.

[00:10:52]So, that's the metal hole.

[00:10:58]Again, this is the G sprew. This is the the alternate sprew because the Firefly has got the different gun.

[00:11:12]It's got an anti-tank gun on the front, different different rear deck, transmission cover, bolt plate, cast armor that goes on here.

[00:11:36]Done. Cleaning kit.

[00:11:43]The uh bit for the gun lock there. the jig.

[00:11:58]So that's the G-sprew.

[00:12:06]This bag we'll have to be careful with.

[00:12:08]It's got two bags in there.

[00:12:24]So that's poly caps and that's the screws for screwing that to the um base.

[00:12:31]So don't lose those and keep that that one spare cuz those spares come in handy.

[00:12:36]Ask me how I know.

[00:12:43]So upper hole.

[00:12:47]Again, this is a weld the welded hole.

[00:12:48]It's not the cast hole version.

[00:12:58]All your tools, different engine deck.

[00:13:10]on there.

[00:13:18]Not a bad little not not a bad piece of armor.

[00:13:23]and then this part.

[00:13:30]It has the uh two sprus which are identical for the tracks or basically a sprew again. wheels.

[00:13:52]You can notice the difference.

[00:14:06]Yeah, they've got a different that one's got they've got a different thing for them. So, obviously you can build them all in one one one shot.

[00:14:16]different type of uh drive sprocket.

[00:14:26]Obviously, your little little frames for the uh lights. You can get photo edetch for it.

[00:14:35]I won't worry about that.

[00:14:38]Obviously, the tracks there, nicely molded. Again, eject pins. you're not going to see them.

[00:14:47]Um, yeah.

[00:14:58]So, that's the AP sprew. Again, this one's got the option for the figures there. So, sadly, why hasn't got a figure there? I don't know.

[00:15:08]Budget constraints, I suspect.

[00:15:11]And this is a this is rinse and repeat of the uh last a sprew.
