The Map Rotation is a SERIOUS Problem in Delta Force Season 9...

[00:00:00]I want to start off the video by saying that this is not the video that I wanted to make today, but I feel that I have some sort of a responsibility to actually make it to get the devs to maybe act and fix something that they did with the release of season 9 that have that has just ruined map rotation for PC players mostly. I think console as well, but maybe the even mobile players that are listening to this video right now, you've been getting the same maps over and over again, just getting frustrated. Like I have been just doing Aftershock marathons over and over, and there still hasn't been anything done to remedy this situation. And I've tried to reach out to the devs and tell them that the decision they made to take the bulk of the maps in Delta Force and put them in a DLC map pack, while a good idea on paper is somewhat of a misstep because it doesn't download the maps by default.

[00:00:47]You, as the player, have to go into the settings of your game to download the DLC maps. Otherwise, you're stuck playing on the same four maps, which is Aftershock, Trench Lines, A Canal, and Cracked. So, that is why you've been seeing these maps. And I've seen countless amount of comments just on my past video about the PSA I made uh just imploring people to download the DLC map packs if they're getting the same maps over and over because the devs didn't really think this through. As I said, it's a good idea to save space. For example, if you're not playing Operations at all, you can decide to not download the operations maps uh to really save some hard drive space. And the same can be said for warfare. But yeah, this being said, the way they went about it of instead uninstalling the maps with the season 9 update and then forcing players to go download them is really not ideal. And if you've played Delta Force at all in season 9, if you haven't downloaded the map pack, there is a message that pops up when you queue in. If you haven't downloaded them, the warning message is literally just as fast as the snap of a finger. And if you simply look away while you're queuing in, you will never see this message just because of how fast it is. I don't know why it is that fast. They probably just flubbed it up and they wanted to make a a a warning message that, you know, told players that they didn't have most of the maps downloaded and actually have it be there uh consistently so players can be like, "Oh, why don't I have all the maps downloaded?" Um, but there's a ton of solutions that they could implement.

[00:02:11]They could force a hot fix and then just obligate people to download the maps and then they can go and uninstall the content that they don't want to experience. Or there's also another solution where they could just have the message be static and then have a button that literally just says click here to download. It brings you to the settings uh in the game that that you can just click and download the map. So a ton of different options that it could do to fix this issue because I can't tell you how tired I am of playing Aftershock on loop. Um, the map runs horribly and yeah, it's an okay map, but when you're playing it, like 75% of the time, it's starting to wayne on my patience. And it makes playing Delta Force just feel like a chore. I haven't even played Threshold, Shafted, Knife Edge a single time this season. And those are all maps that I thoroughly enjoy. Now, I know it's not everybody's cup of tea, but I thoroughly enjoy them. The only maps I've really played are like Trench Lines, A Canal, Aftershock, Cracked, and the occasional Train Wreck, maybe Ascension here and there, but yeah, it is just becoming a nightmare. And I don't understand how they didn't think of this prior to implementing this option on PC. And console players, let me know. Can you also like undownload or uninstall certain maps like we have on PC? Um, but yeah, it's just a very weird decision that they made and it's getting very frustrating for a large part of the player base. And it definitely doesn't help with player retention um, and keeping players around and having just empty lobbies because players are just constantly leaving matches because every time they queue up, oh, surprise, it's the same freaking map I played three times before this match. But if you're watching this video now, do anything you can to boost it up so that hopefully the devs can see it. Share it with your friends. share it on the Discord server as much as you can to get them to notice this and acknowledge that yeah, they made a mistake and to maybe get them to actually put a solution in place or implement something or do a hot fix, whatever it is they need to do to actually change this because yeah, it is just very very uh frustrating, annoying, and any other adjective you could use to evoke a similar sentiment or emotion.
