Next Level Yard Robot, the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro | Real-World Testing
Added:Now, this is the biggest robot lawnmower I've ever had on my yard. This is the Yarbo Core, the latest Yarbo device to be able to tackle many different areas of your home. Being able to have a lawnmower attachment, you can have a snowblower attachment. You can have a blower attachment. So many different things that this can do. Huge thank you to Yaro for sponsoring this video. They did send this out for me to test out for a few weeks. So, I'm really excited to see what this can do. We're going to be testing this on the smallest yard a Yarbo has ever probably been on, but we'll be able to see the fine-tuned controls that it has, and we'll see if maybe we can get a bigger yard test as well. Let's get started. So, here we have the wireless charging station. Here we have the Yarbo itself. Very heavy.
And then here we have the first attachment we're going to try out, which is the Yarabo Lawn Mower Pro. So, this thing is massive. Very heavy. Got a nice bumper on the side there. Then we got two wheels to help it go around. But check out that cutting deck. That is incredibly wide. And there we have five blades on each of these different discs.
That's going to cut the lawn in no time.
Now, for the setup, make sure you're shipping this where you need it installed cuz these are pretty hard to move. So, here you first just need to add a few different antennas. There's two on the front here, one on the back.
Then, we're going to attach the Lawnmower Pro. And there are these prongs you sit it on. And this was a little bit of a learning curve, but if you pick it up from the front and then you latch it down, that gives it a firm connection. I was a pro after a couple days of moving on and off. And then we have this little rubber pad on the top to protect it. Now, I just need to pull up the stop button. And then here on the back, we have the power button that we need to turn on. Then hold it down for two seconds to turn on Bluetooth pairing mode. And there's some other inputs for other attachments that you would use. It does come with some extra rotary blades.
Then we also have the option for straight blades. So, there are two of these, a right and a left. Those look sweet. Next, we have the data center, which is your RTK antenna. So, it's going to be able to relay information here. This plugs directly into your router. So, we're going to feed it in through the home here. And here, I routed the data cable into my network room. It then has a PoE that's plugged into power. So, the cable from the antenna goes into the PoE line. And then the other cable goes from the LAN port into your router or a network switch.
After a few hours of work, I finally have everything ready to map. I know.
So, this is quite the intense device here. Here we have the data center. Now, that took me a bit of time to get that plugged in to my router and everything plugged into PoE, but I did learn that there is a net RTK available. So, if you don't want to have or you don't have availability to plug in a data center or a local RTK, you can connect to the net RTK, which is just using these satellites. Uh the benefits there is you don't need this device. It's always there. Not as accurate, probably very close, but not quite as accurate as having one here. The other thing is you do get three months free service. Then after that it is paid. And the other cool thing is if you have this at home and you want to take this to another location, you can just take it and use switch over to Net RTK and mow somebody else's lawn. If you're within 12 miles, you can then just bring it back and switch back. If you go further than that, when you switch back, you will need to remap your own yard. And there's even a way where you can realign your yard, which is cool. So, enough talk.
Let's go ahead and start mapping. So, we need to get this on the charger first.

>> All right, there we go. It is charging.
Still waiting for the option to create a map. So, after calling support, which was awesome, I found the issue and that is it's not connecting to the data center correctly. So, in the settings, I'm just going to go to data center reinstall. going to reset it. Now we're going to go through the setup. So here we're going to tap data center and now it's going to connect to it and then we're going to make sure that it is positioned correctly. So here is kind of funny guy holding it walking around. Um so the first thing it does is tell you how your signal is where it's currently at. Now I did put it at least 7 ft away from large objects like the house. So it's probably about 10 to 12 feet away from here and from a big tree. And so that looks good. Says it's connected to 30 different satellites. Now, the other option is to permanently mount it somewhere. We're just not going to do that today, but that's nice that get the best signal if it's up high out of the way. There's a ton of mounting accessories it came with. And now it's going to take about a minute for the GPS to work. Now, we're going to set the charging station. So, here it talks about where you need to put it. I am having a problem with it being able to connect to GPS on the robot right here in this location. Too close to the house. You got a big tree nearby. So, instead of connecting it directly over Wi-Fi, I'm going to go into the cellular settings and change it to cellular. Now, once I did that, I was able to go down here to the docking station, reinstall it, go through the process, and here it was able to connect. So, there's a few settings there, but now we have the option to create map because the Bluetooth and GPS are connected. So, let's go ahead show you briefly how you can create a map and the mapping process. So, here we need to make sure we move everything from the lawn. You need to connect over Bluetooth and then you need to stay within 10 ft or 3 mters while you're driving it around. And you should cut your lawn to 5 in. We're a little bit higher in some areas, but we're going to go for it. All right. So, here it has the docking station. So, please hit start to automatically move forward out of the docking station. So, now we're going to draw work area and boundaries. So, I'm going to go to where I want it to start and start mapping.
This is much bigger than robots I've tried in the past. All right, so we're just going to get as close as we can here. Here we go.
We made it back and the lawn is now registered. Now, next we have the option to adjust the area settings. So, I'm going to go through this real quick. And this is really cool. There's a ton of things I haven't seen on other lawn mowers. So, here you can choose your speed going from slowest all the way up to fastest. Here you can choose your obstacle avoidance mode. So, it has an ultrasonic sensor in there to be able to avoid obstacles. You can do moderate bypass, sensitive bypass, or gentle contact. So, sometimes maybe you just want it to keep going and then as soon as it touches something, then it will stop. We're just going to do the recommended option there. Then here you have the boundary obstacle avoidance.
So, we're going to keep that on. So, if it's around the boundary and there's an obstacle, it's going to avoid that. So, if I'm finding that it's avoiding too much, I might turn that off and I'll be fine if it bun if it runs into the branches. Next, you have the mowing height. So, you can go up to four inches all the way down to 0.8 inches, very low. And then, I like this option here.
It's called target height. You can set it at what you want and then over the next five ms, it will slowly lower it to get to that height. That's really cool.
Maybe you only need that the first time you mow, but or the beginning of the season. That would be a good option as well. So, we're going to keep that off.
Then you have the route pattern. So you can do parallel, you can do a spiral or a diamond, which those might be great if you have the blower attachment where it can then blow all the leaves into the middle. You can do the checkerboard or you can do adaptive. So it's then going to change. And because I have some really short areas here, I'm going to try out the adaptive. And you can even turn on a path offset if you want. And you can change the route angle. Now, right here, it doesn't give me the option to see that. I do have an option to preview in a minute. And then here we can specify this is going to be for the lawn mower. You could set different areas for snowb blower, the blower and sam. And you can even set multiple labels for areas. So here on the lawn, we could also use the blower on it as well. So cool that you have that. Here you have some advanced options where you can then have it follow the original path, go counterclockwise and clockwise when it is doing the perimeter. Then you have a turning mode. So we can do smart turn, U-turn, zero turn. You have overlap. So we're going to keep it at four. You have transit path offset. So, tons of details that you can get there.
Module gap, so if it's loose, medium, tight, and you can adjust the mowing order. You have the perimeter lapse, perimeter buffer. Really tons and tons of features. And so, the last thing you have here is the preview. So, we can click on there. Now that I've adjusted the settings I want, I can see what it's going to do. And this looks great. We have a diagonal pattern here. And then these other ones is just going to do long patterns. so that that will be better in those areas. Okay, I think this one is done. Now, we're going to go ahead and map the rest of the areas as well as create pathways between them so that we can complete a full mow. First, you do need to make a pathway between the first area and the charger. Then, we can do all the other areas. And here we have some pathway settings. So, you can have it turn on the blade or not, so it will mow the pathway. Here you can set the height there, medium speed, a few of those other settings, and then here you have a few obstacle avoidance options as well. So, now that we've done the pathway, we are ready to go modify the map and add different areas. So, now we're just going to tap edit map and we're going to create a new area. You have pathways, no-go zones, docking station, dead end, or evision zone. Now that we have our map, I'm going to go in and create a schedule so I can choose all the different areas that I want. I can easily reorder them or I can have it do smart sorting so it kind of automatically figures that out. Now I'm going to save that plan. Give it a name and then here we can simply tap the play button. It gives us the warning about obstacle avoidance. You can have it start at a certain point if you have already done some of your lawn, but we are at the beginning. Let's start now.
Again, this is at 4 in height and the grass is pretty long. So we're going to be cutting it down lower and lower.
We'll also be testing speed. It's set to medium for this man. And here it says it's going to take 45 minutes. That sounds great.
And there we go. Our first cut. That looks great right there. This was very thick. Because it's so thick, the tracks are kind of pushing it down. So, this is going to be a process. Mowing it a few times, getting it down to a shorter length. So, let's just go ahead speed through this real quick. Now, my first impressions is you can tell that there's not enough room in my yard. You know, there's this lot of turning around, takes a few turns with the smart turn, and it's going to take some time to get through this. Taking a look at the map, it's already positioned out all of where it's going to do. So, you can just kind of follow along. And there, it's showing the solid white as where it has completed and the gray as where it needs to go. Here, it's also showing this red area. I believe that's going to be obstacles that it is seeing as it is driving. And there you can see it still has this much area to go and and it's got 38 minutes left. And at any point we can tap on the smart vision cameras. So here, this is really cool. It's like having all the Tesla cameras cuz you have your front and you can tap here to go to the back and you have your left and your right and you can talk through it and you can listen through it. So you have all those options. Then you can view the controller or go back to the map. So tons of features there. here. At any point we can adjust the area settings. So if we wanted to adjust the height, we can come in here and change the height and then we can just find where it is on the map just by pushing that button as most of you will have a very large map to find this. Once it finishes the main area, it's then going to do two perimeters starting from the furthest away that it can and then going a little bit closer. There you can see it just couldn't get all the way to the edge. Um there are some settings you can adjust to enhance the border. Let's go ahead and see if it can get a little bit closer on the rest up against this edge.
It's actually doing a pretty good job getting very close right to where I mapped it. Here's a very small area.
Pretty complicated. Let's see how well it does. It's just doing the perimeter now and should come up do the top and then turn back. And it did not want to try up the top. So sometimes it just can't get to a specific area. There was one other part in my fence where it just couldn't get manually mowing. I tried to get as close as I can which did okay.
But if you have a fine corner that isn't easy to access, it's just not going to be able to cut it.
Now, here it is doing the corner all by itself, it just can't get any further in than that. And then following along this border, staying a little bit away. Uh, so could get a little bit better. And I think in the app, I can expand that. But just by default, in the settings I have, it's safely keeping its distance from the edge. It did a pretty good job. Now it's headed towards the next area.
>> All right, let's see. Uh, it looks like my pathway settings were a little too aggressive on obstacle avoidance. So, I turned off that and then hit continued.
And we're on our way.
And after a few stripes, we ran into another issue.
>> What are you doing? Well, looks like we're having an issue where it will not continue. It just stopped. It's here. It says, "Please wait until the blades reach the required speed. Not sure if it's too hot. What's going on? Keep pausing and playing." And it is not working.
Pause. Play. There's even a clear air that hasn't done anything. So, let's go ahead and see if we can get it to recharge.
All right, that's working. It just will not mow right now. It went back to the charger and docked just fine. And a few hours later, I sent it out again and it started mowing. But then this happened.
>> Well, looks like it found its first obstacle. Um, when I mapped it, I had driven away from this. So, interesting that it just tried to go straight down.
So, this is kind of hard to move.
And I don't want to I don't know. I don't want to pull that. So, I think I'm just going to have to take this off.
To fix this, I did have to take it apart and then move it and reassemble it. Now, I don't know why it went over its boundary. It was pretty close to the line, but a little bit off there. Let's go ahead finish mowing this lawn and review its first bow. And it carried on without issue. It was able to complete the front area. And then it did a really good job getting this really long area in the front. It kept going over it for some reason. Maybe it knew that it really needed to be cut down. And then it was able to even go into the smaller strip over here on the side, completing the final border around. And then heading back to the charger, completing this first mo, which took some time, but let's see how it did. And there it is.
Finally complete with the first mo. We had three different errors during that.
Two of them could have been my fault.
One with GPS, one with uh it being maybe too hot or not being attached properly, and the third with it getting stuck. So, let's see how the overall mow looks. So, first, this tiny little strip, it did a good job cutting it. It didn't get too close to the edge here, but it was able to go all the way up here. Now, all the robot lawnmowers struggle with this little area right there, which it totally missed, but I'm happy that it actually mowed that, so that's good. It can do a very small width. Over here on this lawn, we had some patches that were very, very long. And looking right here, you can see that it did a good job cutting there, but it did miss some areas. You can clearly see here. Um, there are some where it just didn't cut.
But going around, everything looks pretty good all the way around. Now, this area had a ton of really long grass and just because it kept going back and forth or it was in the corner, it ended up cutting most of that all the way down. So, very happy with how that looks. And this is one of the more thick parts of the grass. And that looks really good. Really nice carpet-like finish there. Of course, this is at the tallest length.
And there you can see the final cut over here. Did a great job getting everything down to the same level. Just seeing a little bit of patterns here with the lines. Not too much just cuz it's so wide and I didn't cut it too short. It did miss. Well, somebody trimmed this side, but over here it didn't get to it. Just kind of saw this all as an obstacle, so it didn't get too close to that. But the rest of the yard looks nice. And here you can see it is leaving some tire track over here. Did expected really hard to get into this sharp corner there. I really just need to bring my trim out here so all the robot mowers do a little bit better there. I would say that's pretty passable job right there. Even this little path, it was able to do most of it. I'm seeing little spots here and there where it just totally missed. Now, back here, we had a lot of areas with really long grass, so it all just kind of got matted down. Totally did not get this area. So, I might just do a manual mow of all the really long areas to get them all the same length. And then cut again. So, there it has automatically docked and started to charge. And another spot where that needs to work its way down. But pretty happy it did not get stuck or stop at all in the backyard even with all the edge obstacles that are around. Now, I do want to mention that it can mow at night. So, it has a ton of lights that it can turn on. Looking at the infrared light, there is no LAR that's built in, but here you can see when I turn on color night vision, we can see all of those lights. There are some ways to turn them off, but I don't believe it will be able to work at night. Now, over the next few days, I began to cut the lawn multiple times, and it actually was successful many, many times, and the grass is starting to look really nice, really clean cut, except for this one time. I started to turn off some of the obstacle avoidance around the border, and I did run into an issue. It got pretty confident around the border here by the and I ended going up on the mat of the which I've never had happen before.
Yarbo, what did you do? And at first it was going pretty aggressive underneath the little pad here on the So I turned them off and I set it to a the fastest speed just to see how it was doing. It was doing great, but then it just came right up over the top of here and tore up a little bit of the pad there. So let's do a recap of how it's done on my lawn. And then I think we need a little bit more space. All right, starting in this small patch, it actually did pretty good. only leaving this tiny little part uncut over here and maybe a little bit right here. So, I'm impressed it was able to get all the way over here and then drove up there.
Handled that no problem. Need to figure out why I can't keep this part alive.
But over here, I did have to manually mow cuz it was so long. And now it is doing a good job keeping it trimmed down here. Right up against the edge. were about that far away from the edge, which that's pretty standard on this part of my lawn. Coming around here, I tried to drive up. I think it was right here when I drove up onto the actual like border.
So, I did a little bit of cutting on and off and that worked okay. But you can see that there's about 6 in or more around the entire border that it doesn't that it's not able to get up to the edge to trim. Here's some matted down. It just doesn't have the ability to get that close. As I was trying to walk behind it and follow it around, I never saw it kind of perfectly follow the perimeter. Um, it did pretty good, but here um is where, you know, it's staying far away, which is okay on this obstacle as we saw what happens if it gets a little too close. And then over here, a little bit more, you know, trimming that I will have to do. But the main portion of the lawn, we now cut this down to 2.8 in. Looking really good. I'm happy with the results there. But this is trimming a little further away from the lawn than other robot mowers. Now here, this looks really great. Carpet finish there. And it did pretty good. On the map, it never showed like more than one or two rows that it was going to go through and cut this, but it is all cut and it did a good job getting into corners. Again, it didn't get all the way down into there. All right, up front we have a little bit more space. It seemed to do pretty good. The one part that I noticed is right up here. It just wasn't able to get this area. I'm pretty sure I'd mapped it all the way to the edge, but it missed there getting it cut the lowest. And then here, our obstacle just can't get too close to those um as you'll need to come back. But everything else on this yard looks great. And here on the thin strip of grass, it did a pretty good job. It went up and down, which I was impressed it could do that with the size, but it wasn't able to get all the way at the top. Things like this need to be programmed where they drive all the way up and then kind of go back and then do the turn, but it's just not built into it. So, I could manually do it and probably do a better job, but in the robot cutting algorithm, it just can't get that accurate sometimes. right here on this main line. I'm seeing this patch was missed, but it did really good right here. So, again, it can't get right up to the border there, but it did good cutting that really long grass all the way down to a nice looking level.
Um, around the perimeter here, seeing the same seeing about that much where it kind of didn't get that final trim. And then right here, same little patch there. But it did do half and half right on the front and was able to cut all the way. So that's looking pretty good. Now I just need to do some final trimming around with my weed eater. And this is going to look very nice. And here is a full look at the final lawns. Overall did a good passable job. Looks really nice. It's able to handle the lawn, but this really is made for bigger areas.
Let's go ahead take this to a little more challenging spot. Now, to make this a complete test, we do need to test Yarbo on a hill. It is capable of doing 35° slopes. Here we have about a 25 to 35° slope at some of the highest points.
I think it's going to handle it no problem. Now, for this, I did switch to the net RTK to try it out. Seems to work just fine. So, we have about 1,000 ft here. I mapped a new area. It's going to take 21 minutes. Now, there's not much room at the top, so it does stop right before it gets all the way up there. But as it turns around, it does something pretty interesting. Pops a backwards wheelie. I don't know if you saw that.
Now, after talking to Yarbo about this, they actually mentioned how the weight of the Lawnmower Pro is the reason for this, especially when it's going straight up and down. But they do sell optional side weights so that you can put those on the Arbo itself to prevent this from happening. And here as it gets less steep, not doing the same thing, but doing fabulous job getting up and down.
No struggle whatsoever.
It passed the test no problem. Let's do this again at an angle to see if it has any slippage or anything as it's going to the top of the hill. Well, as soon as I turned off the camera, it did receive an error saying it was tilted or rotated. So, I just need to go back into the app and say it's ready to resume.
Um, but it looks like right there it is struggling a little bit to back up on the hill.
After a few times restarting, it is back on track. Just a tiny bit of slipping there. It got up to the top. See how it does the rest. As you learn about how it works on your hill, you'll be able to adjust to have it perform the best and you can create the hill to be its own little area so it's going a different direction than the rest of your yard. It ended up getting stuck just too many times. So, I ended up canceling that.
Trying again here at a horizontal uh cut and it's doing pretty good. Just struggling a little bit on the sides, but so far it has not gotten stopped or I needed to restart it in the app. I am seeing some tearing up of the grass over on this side, but it is handling it pretty well. It's also going at a slower speed to have better traction control.
And would you look at that? It was able to finish all the way up to the top at the horizontal angle. So testing all going straight up and down. The 45 did struggle, but here finishing doing an awesome job horizontally. So it's great to see those different scenarios that you may have in your yard and you can really maximize how this works just by adjusting the angle. Moving this around the yard is a pretty easy task cuz you can just pull up the app and remote control it wherever you need to go. But once you need to transport it somewhere else, it is very heavy to lift here. I would not recommend putting it in the backseat of a car. Hopefully, you have a trailer or something else you can drive it into and easily take it somewhere else. Now, I also want to mention that there is an alarm. If somebody does take it off your property, you can set a geo fence and then this can be tracked in the app and it can only be turned off in the app. Now, for size comparison, let me show this next to a Luba 3 for all you Motion owners out there. You can really see the difference here. I've now brought it to a new yard. We've mapped out just this area, which is 3,312 square ft. and it is cruising through this lawn. These really thick lines are awesome. I do have it set on the fastest speed and it showed it's going to mow this in about 50 minutes, which is crazy fast. So, I'm checking the battery life.
We were 100% when we got here. We're currently at 96%. So, I'm really excited to see how the final results look here.
I want to mention this is also connected to the data center at my home, which is within 10 miles. So, it's crazy that it still has that connection. Seems to be working just fine. No GPS issues here.
Now, here's a good place to show the different turn options. So, here is the smart turn. It's kind of like a multi-point turn. Sometimes it takes a lot of turns. Other times, it's like a three-point turn. And there, it does a pretty good job. It doesn't tear up the grass much, just takes a little bit of time. And then it always does that kind of backup reverse to cut that area it misses and goes forward. I think that works great. Here is the Uturn. So, it's a very similar option. Uh I think it's just kind of forcing the three or multi-point turn. And then here we have the last option which is the zero point turn. You can see that it's just kind of turning on a dime being able to flip around and go. You might see more tear on your grass here, but it is pretty efficient and quick to be able to continue on mowing the lawn. Now, I do have it set on fastest, but it is still a pretty nice cut with those two different discs and the blades. Um, here you can see there is a tiny bit that has been missed. Not sure if that's just at the edge of the mower or if that's from the center of the blades. So, slowing it down and then doing a cross pattern would definitely get this done 100%, but it's looking really nice so far. Now, when I mapped it, I wasn't too close to the edge just cuz we've already kind of learned about how close it can get. But, there is this gap probably about 2 ft wide that it didn't get to. So, it'll be interesting to see on the perimeter how it's able to handle that. With a larger yard, it's easier to see how this actually looks. We do have some tire tread tracks, but we can see much better lines in the yard. And it's also doing a much better job at just completing what it needs to do because it has a little bit more space to move around. So, here as it goes through, it just continues on the same pattern. Doing excellent completing all the way up to the edge.
Once it's finished the area, it's now completing the two perimeter laps. We have 1 minute left here on this yard.
And it did run into the air again where the blades are not reaching the required speeds to continue. So, we're just going to call it finished. there. It finished this yard with 74% battery left. So, 25% in about I think it was three and a half thousand square feet, which is pretty great. There is a whole another half to this yard that we need to mow. And the good news is you'll be able to mow that all in one battery, which is just amazing. So, we're now going to go ahead and switch out the blades that are in the Yarbo Lawn Mower Pro so that we can try out the other blade system and see if that improves the air that we're having. After removing the Lawnmower Pro, it comes with a little stand so that you can easily stand it up on its side to be able to remove the old blades, which it comes with all the tools to do that. Then here, we're going to put on the straight blades, which there is a right and a left. We're going to add the little attachment on the front, and screw those in. Reattach the lawn mower pro, and we are back in action. Let's go ahead and mow the lawn again in the opposite direction. After one mow, this looks awesome. I love the thick lines that this has. just this is the biggest cutting deck I've ever seen.
Things are looking really nice. There are a few patches that it's missing here and there. Not too much, but some that are noticeable. Now, other than it having an air and stopping, this looks great. I did have it at the fastest speed. We're at 3 in. So, we're going to go ahead and do another mow. Do it the opposite direction here. I've changed the blades out. Excited to see how this goes. We'll see how the blades work here. And I may change the speed slower to see if we see a better cut. And then we'll do one more lawn with those blades. And it's off to a quick start.
This is going to look really nice having that cross-hatch pattern. Again, you can just do that by default in the app, but I just set it to automatically go at a different angle. All right, the new blade seems to be working great. And here is what the other blade was doing at the fastest speed. And on the second cut, that is an amazing cut. Super smooth, very carpalike finish. I know I use that term a lot, but that is exactly what we want to see. Now I am seeing a few little strands here and there. So the second cut looking great. You know then once you get to going just a little bit of time it's going to get even better. But I would say that is definitely some improvement from the tiny blades to the more lawnmowing blades.
Now, on the smart turn, I love when it goes around, turns the corner, and backs up to make sure it gets all the way back and then continues forward. I don't think I've seen that done well on any other robot mower. Out here in the West, we are currently in a drought, so we haven't been able to water as much, so no comments on the condition of the grass, please. This is turning out fantastic.
And now it just has this little section left to finish, and then it's going to do the perimeter laps. And here doing the first round of proner getting very close to the edge and doing the second round. And that time it did complete this entire lawn which did a great job with the new blades going back and forth. We did have it stop again real quick but I was able to go back in and it was able to finish. But there it was able to do both perimeters getting right up to the edge. There's one setting that's really cool where you can actually have it extend just a little bit past the perimeter. So you could do a few inches to a few feet. So if you don't have any obstacles and you want it to go more without remapping, you are able to do that. But there we have done 3.6,000 square ft two different times. So what is that about 7.2,000 square ft and we still have 46% battery life. This has definitely been the biggest robot mower battery I have ever seen. Let's go ahead and keep mowing.
And this time let's do some obstacle avoidance tests to see how well that works. All right, first test. It currently is on fast speeds just for reference, but I have kind of the default obstacle avoidance setting. So, let's say I'm out of the way.
And then if I walk in front of it, there quickly saw me.
Got a little close but did not go over my toe. And there it is just avoiding me to continue on the path that it it was going. All right, let's try another obstacle. It's just sitting there.
That's pretty good. Saw it getting pretty close and moves around it. Now, there are the other settings where I could have it stop if it gently touches something, but there you can see the ultrasonic sensor and the camera vision is working great. Well, after spending some time with the Yarbor Core, I think this is an awesome system to have. There are so many great things that this can do. And you have other attachments. Not only is it this as the Lawnmower Pro, but you also have a trimmer function that can help get right up to the edge.
You have the snow blower, you have the blower, and you even have a trailer that you could get to pull things around your yard to easily take things from one place to another, which is really great.
So, really a complete package of a robot mo lawn mower to help out in your yard.
I think this is going to be best for bigger yards or even like a farm where this can cover six acres of lawn. So, it can just go out, mow, and do all the work and come back. It's going to take 90 minutes to charge up and then you have 2 hours of working time. Now, first let's talk about some of the weaknesses this has. I have had quite a few errors with this. One of them being the blades not being able to spin fast enough or something. So, it just sits there and it never begins. So, that's happened after an hour or so of mowing. it just pauses and then I have to pause it and wait a little bit, start it up and then it continues again. So, something that might be able to be fixed and I have had a few GPS errors where that's mainly just because of where I had my data center placed. Um, once I moved the mower here, which I'm actually still connected to my data center even though it's a few miles away, I had no issues with the GPS because I have much more open sky here. So, that's all dependent on what kind of setup you have in your home. And then you also have the net RTK option, which is a subscription, but that's great that you don't even need the data center. You can just have this connect directly to the net RTK and it can go and mow. The data center is going to be the most accurate, but I love that you have both of those options. Um, the other weakness is being able to get right up next to the edge on very fine areas or a smaller yard like the my yard where it just can't get right into those nook and crannies. But the trimmer edge module would have been maybe a little bit better to help with those. But in a big lawn or maybe a, you know, giant farm area, you wouldn't need to have that fine-tuned. So maybe not the biggest problem. Let's talk about some of the best things about this one. The cutting deck. This can do 20 in. So being able to mow this large area, it actually was very, very fast. While watching it, it's pretty slow even if it's on its fastest setting. But overall, it is a very quick cut and it makes some really nice lines in the yard. Now, having this be able to cover 8,600 square ft and we still have 35% battery left is amazing. This definitely the best battery on any robot mower I've tried. Again, this can last for 2 hours of mowing, which is awesome. I think we even had it last a little bit longer.
We've been using this all day and it still has more battery and we've just had it on and sitting out. But it can do a really good job there with battery life and that's because it has that huge battery and that is replaceable which is great. If you ever need to replace it, you can easily pull that out and put in a new battery. Now, the next thing I love is how customizable the app is. At first, I was having like problems with little things not working the way that I wanted them to. Well, you can actually change pretty much all of that in the app. You can go through and customize exactly how you want things to be done.
Even the border, you can go in and say, "Hey, I want you to go 6 in further than the border that I currently set." And it will be able to do that in the app. You can go in and have the lights turn off.
You can have all kinds of different things happen. So, there are a ton of different functions that you have all within the app that are already built in. You even have the option where it can follow the perimeter when it is done so it's not driving across the grass. I had it set to that and I'm like, why is it still driving straight through, but I didn't turn off the quickest route. So, again, a ton of different options. So, overall, I think this is an awesome device to have if you have a bigger yard or need a lot of area mode, this can definitely get it done. Last thing on the mower, I love how you have the option for the discs or the straight blade. The straight blade is more like your standard mower where it's able to go and cut and I think that has a much nicer cut um than the other blades. The other ones just take a little bit more time or more moss to be able to really complete the job and do a good job. But with the straight blades, you can easily go get them sharpened if you need to.
And with the other razor blades, you will have to get those replaced every 3 months. You can even turn them over so the other side is still sharp and cut them after a few months. But nice that you have both of those options. And then I would really be interested in trying out the snowblower option when winter comes to be able to see how that does clearing off the driveway before I even get up to make sure that it has been done. Um, and then that saves a lot of time and is safer cuz it's getting harder to shovel the walks as you get older. You might understand. So there you go.
