👉 “This Lake has links with Mars! 🚀 Harley 883 Ride Around Lake Salda (Turkey Day 2)”Added:
We're on our quest to find the lake now.
We were just going to stop and have a look at these market stores and then we realized that this is a a parking area and there's some little tractor trains here and we think that they take you down to the the next solder beach front.
So I think that's what we're going to do now.
So, we've just been beckoned to come to our tractor train. There's quite a lot of people here, actually. So, we're going to get on this tractor train down to see the lake.
Well, the S now said 3 hours, But I reckon it took probably three three and 3/4 hours someone had to get out.
Stopped for fuel and a coke on the way.
But it was a lovely route.
>> Oh, beautiful.
>> Yeah, really hardly any cars. Really windy roads up over the mountain. Bit chilly at top there. Wasn't wearing the right sort of gear really. Didn't need his t-shirt on as well as his shirt. But it was lovely and we found it pretty easy.
>> Yeah.
>> Nice little accommodation. And we just got on a bus now. A little tractor >> naughty train. Really >> tractor train. catch a train to bring us down here cuz you can't walk on the beach now. We just parked up um and it's absolutely beautiful down here.
>> Yes, it's gorgeous.
>> With the the white of the the grit around and the blue of the water is just beautiful, isn't it?
>> Yeah. Lovely.
>> Tropical. Yeah.
Lake Solder um in Turkey has geological similar similarities to Jezero crater on Mars and researchers did field work at Lake Solder to prepare for Countdown to Mars and NASA Persevere.
So this is Lake Solder and this is the Zerio crater on Mars.
That's quite good, isn't it?
The lake was formed 2.5 billion years ago as a tectonic lake and it's located in a closed basin.
Gosh. So the ba the structures of the lake are the organo sedimentary structures which are the oldest fossils formed by bacteria showing traces of life on earth along the shallow parts of the lake. These microbi sediments containing aqueous magnesium carbonate continue to form in an e ecological structure unique to the lake.
It's the only lake with a geological and minological resemblance to the old lake in jazer equator which was selected as a target area in Mars 2020 mission by NASA. Turkish NASA scientists state the carbonate minerals and accumulation areas contained in Solder Lake will be be a guide in the studies of Perseverance robot set to the red planet to search for possible traces of life on Mars.
Oh, I don't think we can see these from where we are now. So there's sediment formations called strumatilytes and these decompose on the shore with the effect of waves and form white sands as results of the researches carried out in and around solder lake. It has been determined that strumalite formations provide important data to the scientific world in the determination of geological life forms.
Cool.
And these some of the indigenous wildlife, some coots, ducks, grie, different fish.
Such a pretty place and a very scientifically important place for its own, isn't it?
What's the date today, darling?
>> 30th. Yeah. No, 31st, isn't it?
>> Is it the 31st of May?
>> Yeah.
>> 2024.
Heat. Heat.
That's a big Oh, yeah. Wow.
Okay.
>> Yeah. Right.
Heat. Heat.
We have a gorgeous setting for a meal looking over Sol It's beautiful.
>> Lovely grilled chicken.
>> Would you take a picture, please?
>> Sizzling like ASMR.
Made the wings.

It's Saturday morning. Um, and we've just left our little pension in Solder.
Um, we saw the lake yesterday and now we're going to Yashel over um to get some petrol and maybe some breakfast as well. It's one of those funny police cars there.
That's a photo op photo op place there.
That was funny.
Oh, we're like Shaloba now.
Just filled up the petrol.
proven to glue all this time around the boat and back down to the town to get some kabalti.
Right.
Scared him then. So, in the winter, this is a ski resort, believe it or not.
Crazy.
Crazy to think.
>> It looks like soup and stuff.
>> There was There was one that did on the way back.
>> Okay, darling. Should we try that one then?
Hello.
Hello.
>> A cute. Yes, you are.
Hello.
A check puppy.
A so cute.
Okay, so this is our cavi. We've got hot eggs sausage in there, fill bread, and then we've got the is this clotted cream, jam, paneer, olives, cheeses, and some parsley, tomatoes, and peppers.
Yum, yum.
And I wonder if Simon's going to be brave and drink your tea like how to drink your coffee.
>> No way.
>> This is nice.
>> Nice and fresh and all really nice.
Yeah. Can't wait to check in.
Heat. Heat.
going on.
Not sure what kind of fishes there are.
Stream going into the river into the lake here. And there's a little fish nursery.
Little tiny baby fish there.
Oh, even tinier fish by here.
Here we have a dragonfly that's just emerged from its nymph cape.

The nymph case is just above it. And the dragonfly is drying out on the stalk of the reed.
