Trigger point injections are a medical treatment option for patients experiencing chronic pain, particularly those with conditions like cervical radiculopathy where nerve compression causes muscle spasms; the procedure involves injecting medications such as Kenalog (an anti-inflammatory) and lidocaine (a numbing agent) directly into affected muscle areas to reduce inflammation and relieve pain, with patients typically experiencing relief lasting several weeks.

Trigger Point Injections for Our Friend LadybugAdded:
Before we get started on this video, remember there are hundreds of archived and new videos under the members section of the John Gilmore page. Please check it out. All right. We're here with our patient Ladybug. Hi Ladybug. Hello. How are you today?
Great. Don't answer if you don't want to.
>> [laughter] >> Okay, so you've got chronic neck pain, right?
>> Yes. And you've had some surgical procedures to your neck over the years.
That's correct. And you still live in chronic pain though. Yes. So for you, the surgery helped for a little while, but then later not. Isn't that right?
>> Yes. Okay. So one of the things that we do is we treat you with some pain medicine, we use anti-inflammatory medicine, we use muscle relaxers. We do a lot of things to help keep you from suffering in pain, right?
>> Yes. One of the things that we've done that has been real helpful to you has been do some trigger point injections or injections at the upper trapezius back here, right?
>> Yes. Now we did this a few months ago.
That's correct. And how long did it last for you?
Um up until about a week ago. So Wonderful. almost the entire 2 months, yeah. 2 months there, okay. All right.
And so we're going to do that again for you today. We're just going to do what we call soft tissue injections or trigger point injections.
And this is an option that a lot of doctors have to help their patients who are dealing with chronic pain. Sometimes some of the biggest parts of the pain is actually the muscle spasms and and the nerve compression or pinched nerves and things like that that we get from you know, from the underlying condition, which in your case is continued cervical nerve or cervical radiculopathy, which just means that you still have cervical discs, neck discs that are causing you pain and as a result your body's responding trying to hold the neck stable as well as possible by muscle spasms. And so we fight against all of that, right?
>> Mhm.
So today we're going to do some injections. Yay. Are you ready? Yes, I am. We're going to inject uh some Kenalog and some lidocaine.
Are you ready? I'm ready.
>> Deep breath. Here we go. I'm going to do the cold spray. We got Jenny on the cam.
Hey Jenny, thanks. Good morning. All right. Little spray.
Little stick.
Right there. It doesn't have to be very much and it doesn't have to very be be very deep. Little stick. Now, these aren't the sting and the burn so much.
All right?
Same here. They're quick.
And I'm going about half a centimeter.
Make it easy when you mark those territory already.
>> Yep.
And so we're just spreading the medicine around.
You okay?
>> Mhm.
There we go.
How we doing?
Good. Not bad. And so I want to get Miss Jenny to help us out and put a little circular bandage on all these little spots for you.
And there won't be any maintenance required on this. Just like last time, we just want to keep these clean so they can heal.
>> No ice or heat? No ice or heat is really necessary. If you want to, as part of your normal regimen, use a little heat, that would be okay.
>> Okay, good. All right.
Thanks. Thank you.
>> her nickname. Ladybug. Thanks, Ladybug.
>> [laughter] >> Thank you. All right, guys. Watch the Meta 7 video, guys.
>> You're live. No rehearsal. You've been taking Meta 7 for how long? Since last October. Great. And this is now April. I think I know my month, right?
>> And I ran out and I could tell the difference when I wasn't taking it. My husband was taking them. Mhm. And so he was they were going being used up faster and he said he could actually feel the difference, but Yeah. the best thing [clears throat] was I felt I could feel the energy, and I could feel perked up and a little peppy, >> Mhm. and didn't run out of steam, Mhm.
and um I didn't have the green urine where all the B complex was being Sometimes when you take those B's and >> excreted. Yeah, so So you didn't have any of that. You know what? I don't get that either. And most of the uh people that are taking our Meda-Seven don't.
And the reason is is is our ingredients are superior and as a result they're actually absorbed and utilized by the body.
>> Right. That's what That's I I felt a difference. But we're out. And I I really need some for I'm going to give him his bottle and >> [clears throat] >> Two bottles today. So we're going to rectify that situation. Now, did you feel jittery and shaky or nervous on it?
>> Never. No, you felt good on it. No, it made things feel real. In fact, it almost felt like maybe it helped my blood sugar because of the It does. the chromium picolinate. I felt that I could >> the alpha lipoic acid >> that I could feel in the morning after >> Yep. when you ate and Let me tell you a little secret and then this isn't on a lot of our videos, but since we're talking about it, every ingredient in the Meda-Seven, everything that I put in there actually beneficially affects how the body deals with glucose and energy. Every single one.
>> Right. Right.
>> So yes, you will notice an improvement in those who have diabetes will get an improvement. Those who have type 1 or type 2, it won't matter.
Uh now, we're not allowed to tell people that it's used to treat for a diabetes or or cure diabetes or anything.
>> it for years myself on my own, and I'm and I know it really makes a difference.
>> It does. In fact, I haven't been taking it, so I'm like nervous about my blood work. It's like >> Oh, we'll fix you up. Don't worry.
But don't worry.
>> [laughter] >> And um you know, you don't have to get it just in the clinic. We we have a way now you can order it online, too. So you'll be able to get that, too.
Okay, well thanks for sharing with us.
>> Yes. Okay. Happy to.
>> Oh.
