HELP! Why are my trees and shrubs dying?!?!

[00:00:01]"Help, my plants and shrubs and grass are dying." That's the phone call as a certified arborist that you get all the time. The problem isn't always what you think it is. So, we got to come out and do a site inspection and see if we can figure it out. Here on this job, it actually turns out that water is the problem. So, spinning around here, what we figured out was all the water It's hard to see in the video cuz slope doesn't really come across in video, but all the water is coming down the street and washing into a lawn and flooding this entire area. It's causing lots of problems with these trees and shrubs right here.

[00:00:33]So, we're going to hand-build a curb right along the edge, divert the water down to the very end where we'll put in a catch basin, two, actually, and then run it in a buried underground pipe all the way down to the end and dispose of the water down there. What that'll do is keep all the road salt and other chemicals from coming off the street and hitting the root system these plants as well as the turf and fix that problem. In the meantime, we're also giving these trees and shrubs our Ballard Boost, which contains a fertilizer as well as some biostimulants and polyphosphates, all very good for the plants. Basically, a booster shot in the arm to let them recover. And we've been spraying this tree because I had crepe myrtle bark scale on it and it's certainly recovered from that at this point as well. It's doing really well.
