Biodiversity refers to the variety of living organisms on Earth, which maintains ecosystem balance and provides essential services like climate regulation, clean air, and food security. According to the United Nations Environmental Program, human activities are pushing 1 million species toward extinction. Protecting biodiversity begins with individual actions such as planting native species, reducing single-use plastic, and supporting local ecological tourism. Communities can contribute by establishing cultural rules that prohibit deforestation and over-exploitation, preserving traditional ecological knowledge, and maintaining clean environments. Every living organism plays a specific role in maintaining the planetary system, making coexistence between humans, animals, and plants essential for human survival and future generations.

A very good morning to each one of you and very welcome warm welcome to each one of you.
We are gathered here today to celebrate the international biological diversity day 2026.
The theme of international biological diversity day this year is acting globally for global impact.
As an educational institution, our responsibility stands far beyond the walls of the personal.
>> We need to provide young people with the right resources and mentorship to become forwardthinking citizens who can drive positive community changes.
and who actively protect our planet.
Now, what do we mean by biological diversity? In short, it means a variety of living things on Earth. A rich diversity of life is what keeps the biosphere balanced and functional. It ensures essential ecosystem services like climate regulation, clean air and water for teroil and food security remain stable.
The theme acting locally for global impact reminds us that major changes begins on a small local scale.
Protecting the environment doesn't always require big lifestyle changes.
Often it starts with simple habits that reduce waste, lower energy consumption and encourage more responsible consumption. According to United Nations environmental program, human activity is pushing 1 million species of land and animals towards extinction.
Nature is declining at an alarming rate.
This loss of biodiversity threatens any life on Earth.
Let us contribute something individually to protect our planet.
Every time we plant a native species, reduce single use plastic or support local ecological tourism, we are directly contributing in restoring local ecosystem, mitigating climate change and promoting circular economy.
These action work actions work together to capture carbon protect wildlife habitat and prevent toxic pollution in our environment.
Mlang sacred roof is a perfect example of acting locally for global impact.
When a small village like Mount Lang protects a local sacred group to honor a dity, they have done the right thing. In their own communities, local peoples preserve global diversity, combat climate, climate change, and maintain traditional ecological knowledge.
Communities establish strict cultural rules that prohibit cutting of trees, hunting or over exploitation in the forest.
second group act as seed banks preserving rare plants globally protected by extinction.
I therefore encourage each of you to commit today and make to make these small conscious choices. Let us take this day as a starting point to align our daily habits with the convention on biological diversity.
Now even negative acting also has an impact globally or has a global impact.
Remember that we toss a food rapper on the street it joins a global cycle of religion.
Let us work together to protect our planet. Not just for ourselves, but for all the incredible flora and fauna that share this planet.
This coexistence is a functional necessity for human survival.
Every living organism plays a specific role in maintaining the planetary system that keep us alive.
We are very fortunate to have with us our resource persons who will highlight more on this issue.
>> Thank you for this opportunity to give the speech. Uh thank you for speech my thank you to professional the principal of this college brother who's my close friend in their working days I met here and I know that he was a brother who's a friend of mine during the working days again it's a privilege And here along the different minds the experts from different field are his adventurous mind to explore so many cave in the state. I read a lot about him but this is first time meeting him here but I know this uncle speaking first also interest thank you for being here with all college of China for I also would like Thank you. Thank the organizer for this program international biology diversity day. Thank you to for inviting me along with his team and also the students even though it is just one year old. Yes, public is not mistaken. I can see the infrastructure being developed in this place will attract more students with the good road and maybe within next few months with water electricity as well. I've been following up with this.
I'm not an expert on biodiversity but just a few points I just would like to make.
If I make a mistake in in talking about bio please don't mind but I feel it is a very important subject very important aspect in our life that we should keep the bio bio biodiversity to see without one another animal without plants plants cannot be hard on because they they are complimenting each other as said about this country grow a perfect example but from my side has been about environment this college has just come up in such a very beautiful place they got the new rooms that I would to request our dear students to please keep the road clean. It still look very nice and clean till now. Maybe because you have very few students. And when you go back home, please don't discard your plastic bottle, plastic wrappers along the way from here to your home. Make this road clean.
It will be a perfect example for all who would ever would like to visit this college. This would be a local church from the students which others also would like to follow like you know Bong village have become famous for their cleanliness.
So follow the example.
Try to keep your surrounding clean. Even your home. Don't think that your home is clean. You can just discard your plastic waste anywhere you like. But try to keep it clean outside your home as well as the outside of your home.
your contribution each of you can make for a clean environment and a greener earth. You see we have to see that we coexist with the animals as well. As you have seen few months back elephant has started coming into which never heard of. Is it because the elephant gets no food or is it because humanity human being has encroached into their habitants? This is what we should try to see that man, animal and the plant and the plants should coexist so that the earth will last forever for us for the future generation to come.
with these few words.
I I'm very happy to be here with you all be part of this program to make this earth much more clear and I hope with the expert we have here will give more highlights on the importance of this international day of diversity.
his views. Thanks again my dear students and my fellow guests out here and invite as well. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
Heat.
Heat.
Mornings are always busy. Everything feels fast. I hear mom shouting and I'm trying not to be late. Outside, Shalong is already awake. Cars move slowly.
Horns are loud. It feels like everyone is in a hurry. Then the stems bus comes in bright and yellow, always on time.
The ketica waves and I feel okay inside.
We laugh and sing. We share snacks. We help each other with homework. It feels nice. My parents know I'm safe through the STEMs app on mom's phone because this bus isn't just a ride. It takes us to school with friends and a little bit of home. This is stems our right our future.
