Aircraft control systems require understanding the relationship between pilot inputs and aircraft responses, with ground school training (approximately 1,000 hours) being more time-intensive than actual flight time (10-12 hours), and aircraft design prioritizes lightweight construction for efficient flight, with small planes capable of traveling 1,200 miles at speeds up to 200 mph.

Be The Boss Of Your Plane!✈️Added:
Oh, there it is.
No, that's not it.
No, that's not it. God dog it.
Sorry, guys. Trying to figure it out.
Hold on.
I figured it out last time.
Operation is locked.
All right. I'm trying to turn this camera to get in the way, guys, so I can have it the long way.
You know what? Screw it. I was going to keep it like this.
Hold on, guys. Hold on.
Do me a favor and just let me know if you can hear me.
Let me know if you guys can hear me.
Yeah, I know, right? What do we have here? Good morning. Well, hold up. 10 11 12. No. Well, it's not morning. It's morning here. I'm in California, guys.
Is that your hanger? You can hear me?
Okay, very good. How you guys doing? Um, I'm out here at the San Bernardino airport. Um, and this private hanger here. Let me turn this around.
This actually, let me back up. The helicopter taking off over there.
This hanger actually belongs to VI preloader Scott.
Scott Scott. Um, he practices my drills all the time. Um, but he's also a pilot and he teaches people the ground stuff on how the how to fly planes, the ground stuff, not the stuff in the air. And according to him, the stuff in the air, that's the easy part. 10 about 10 10 to 12 hours, boom, you can pass that. the stuff on the ground's like a ton of hours, like a thousand hours or something like that. But this is his hanger. Um, his son is in there as well.
His son is a captain for United Airlines.
Uh, so he's going to be flying as well, I guess. I think he's taking us up in a plane as well. I don't know. U, I got my California Ambassador. Oh, I'm sorry. VI Preloader Scott also has a YouTube channel. It's called Low Altitude Flyer.
Um, and I love the fact that I often talk about the similarities between uh pilots and riding a motorcycle. Um, of course, because he's a pilot and he's a brand new motorcycle rider, he was able to see all of these similarities and experience them. Um, so I just think that was awesome. So, he reached out to me. Um he's a big part of why I'm here uh in California for these practice sessions because he was on the hunt looking for a location. We already had um the church that we normally do these at with GPOPs and Gigi. Also check out their YouTube channel.
Um and but we found Quaid Holy Davidson.
All right. It's not a ton of space over there, but we're going to make it work.
Uh and I'm looking forward to it. The weather is going to be fantastic this weekend, guys. Fantastic. And when I say fantastic, Saturday and Sunday mid70s um and then Monday 86 degrees, but I'll be out of here by then. So that's just fantastic. Anyway, Scott said, "You know what? If you want when you come to California, if you want to go up in an airplane, I take you up in an airplane um and at a certain point give you the controls, let you fly it."
And I was like, "Yeah, I'm 54 years old.
That's long enough. I could.
Um, but so that's what we're going to do. Now, this plane only holds two people, me and Scott. Um, G Pops is supposed to go up. He's nervous though, so I don't think he's going up, but he said he was going to record me. But let me show you guys this plane. Um, and I also got somebody else here I want you guys to see.
>> So, here's the plane.
I'm gonna show you guys all the controls and everything, but it's Let me tell you something, guys. It's tight in here, too. It is tight. I forgot. I got to move slow because for some reason, when you do live videos, there ain't no camera stabilization. I don't understand why, but it's not.
But so, these are the controls, guys. It is tight in there, right? But I'm looking forward to it. we would have been in the sky already, but we're trying to wait for this like fog to clear up. And um and then we got another plane back here that his sunflies that that is only a one-seater and it is tight in there. He does tricks and stuff like that. You guys know who that is looking at the plane?
>> That is the CEO of Indie Ridge.
>> That is Steve. Steve's gonna be going up in the plane, too. Steve's like, "Screw these clouds. Let's go." So, Steve is a he's an animal.
>> So, if you guys don't know about Indie Ridge, um you must be living under a rock. But there's a version seven of those boots out and what he did was he increased the amount of grip that's on the soul. So, this is going to be a great day. I'm looking forward to it.
I'm looking forward to this whole weekend. Uh there's shots fired.
Just kidding. They have G-pops.
Oh, he's pulling out the plane.
>> Look how light that is.
>> Well, it has to be light.
>> So, the plane's coming out, guys.
>> Where you going? To the bathroom.
>> Yeah.
>> Oh, so clearly you can see guys, the plane's not heavy.
I see my bride there. Hello, baby.
Um, Robert said, "Remember, if you get nervous up there, you can grab those little knobs in the middle for safety."
I don't even know what the hell that means. I don't like it. It makes you feel uncomfortable.
All right, so now we got a little bit better lighting.
And Scott's not a tall guy at all. So, of course, he fits in here nice and easy. But I'm gonna slide in there. Um, and you know what? I think I'm gonna try to I'mma try to go live while I'm up there. I don't know how I'll ask him how the cell phone service is because if the cell phone service is good, guys, I'm I'm I may not keep this going. Maybe I'll start another one. I don't know.
We'll see. Uh maybe I'll start another one. I want to keep you guys that long.
But uh his son is a captain with United Airlines.
Let me read some of your comments, guys.
>> Okay.
Be the boss of your airplane. That's right. He needs to be the boss of the airplane, right? I don't know what the hell I'm doing.
Got to stay in your lane. Pre-load and keep it loaded. All right.
Good sound. I can hear you and see me.
Thank you. It's morning here. Beyond the mark. Yeah, I know it's morning there.
That's my Colorado ambassador. Uh Stephanie Sam Brennan Dion too. Oh, really? Who is that?
the Bronny Busy bus fan. I'm sorry, guys.
Uh, ground school. See, so somebody knows. What's up, Rob? This is great.
That's That's Brandon.
I've always wanted to get a pilot's license. You know what? Me, too. Well, that's not exactly true. I've always been fascinated about this. Like, I've always been interested in it. Like I can sit I've never done this, but I can sit at an airport or someplace close to where planes take off and land. I could watch that all day. I mean, I really could. It's just And I would love to be in a cockpit of a like a commercial airline and and just watch everything that goes on.
Um, so you know, it's to me it's fascinating. So I watch YouTube videos, stuff like that. My bride said 54.
That's long enough exclamation point.
She's mad.
Groundwork is the foundation of horsemanship. This is coming from um Colorado ambassador before getting in the saddle. Yep. Mhm. Hey Rob, it's Robert and Ann. And hey, what's going on Robert and Ann? Miss you guys. I was hoping to get back out there, you know, but location is always the issue, guys. It's always the issue. Uh that's why the Washington practice session, guys, uh had to be cancelled. So that just that just didn't work out. But I'm it's not going to happen this year most likely.
Uh but definitely next year. We got to get something there cuz I mean I I was so looking forward to coming there too.
It was just had such an amazing time. Um last year when I was there just so many awesome people and they were looking forward to me coming back and I was looking forward as well uh seeing my uh Washington ambassador uh Miss Jenny.
The loons the worse than your typical airlines. All right, let's see. Did you wear matching boots today?
No. So, the funny part is I packed boots and then I took them out of the suitcase because I'm going to be leaving here with boots, right? Some of those version seven boots. Gops and Gigi, they bought new boots for the practice sessions tomorrow. So, if they got new boots, I got to have new boots, too. Um, oh, somebody said, "You lose signal the minute you remove off the air."
I think I know what that means. Yes, that's me.
Pre-flight check. Yeah, I want to see that cuz if he just says, "Let's go and be like, whoa, aren't you supposed to be doing like a pre-flight check?" Guys, hit the uh like button, please, if you haven't already.
I grew up in the saddle seat of a Cessna. Wow, that's nice. Eric, what's going on? Hey, Rob. My wife and I are watching. She said, "Just sit back and enjoy the ride like you told her."
No, no, no. I'mma sit back and enjoy it and then I'm taking over, you know, because it is what it is, you know. I'm I'm doing this. And this wasn't even my idea. Look at this ham coming up to the camera.
>> I don't know. I don't know if I should get on, guys. What do you think? I'm a little scared.
>> Well, yeah. you like I I like risking my life on a motorcycle on the ground, but I don't know about this plane. They say it's like a sports car plane.
>> Yeah. So, listen guys, um he told me that this plane has 50 it takes 50 gallons of fuel, 25 gallons per wing, and it with that this plane could go 1,200 miles.
>> I was like, what?
1200 miles this damn thing could go and speeds up to 200 miles per hour.
So that's why I was telling uh Ruben. Ruben was like, "Oh my god, this thing is like it feels like it's it's nothing." And I was like, "Yeah, it's it has to be lightweight. You know, you don't need a lot."
But anyway, all right, guys. So, that's what's going on here to see my boy Steve uh from Indie Ridge.
uh just a great guy. Uh I did two videos interviewing Steve and him talking about his business and all of that stuff. How meticulous he is, how particular he is about every little thing. It's not just the boots, his gloves as well.
Everything is just actually he said his boots were easier than the gloves because so many nuances with gloves and the comfort and and all this other stuff. Being able to touch stuff and it actually works on your phone, you know, all of that stuff's important to him. But um I hope you guys enjoy your day. I'm not going to keep you long, but I might come back on here if I can. If I can't do it live, I'm still going to record it and I'll put it on Instagram and um Tik Tok and Facebook. YouTube, it only gives me three minutes to do a a short No, no. I'll I'll put it on YouTube, too, but it'll be in this orient.
I gotta think about that. N you know what? I think I'm gonna turn it sideways. I think I'm gonna do it horizontally so you can watch it nicely on your television. I don't know, guys.
We'll see. We'll see what I'm going to do. All right. All right. Listen, guys.
I love you. Stay tuned because I'm going to be back.
>> Tell them about our practice session this weekend.
>> Of course. They know about the practice session.
>> Numbers.
>> Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it because when I ask them what number the practice session is, I want them to know.
>> Yeah. I I don't want them to know cuz half the time I don't know and I can't keep up with this.
>> Okay.
You can still come out to Quaid Harley-Davidson. Come if you're in Southern California, come out to Quay Harley-Davidson in the beautiful city of L.
>> You got no microphone on. They can't hear you.
>> And we will be out there for two practice sessions tomorrow and Sunday.
Like love to see you out there, guys.
>> Hold on. How come this plane is moving and we ain't? Got a helicopter coming in from the sheriff's department.
This thing is huge. What they also have, guys, over here, there's a big Amazon fulfillment center, but this is the best one I've ever seen. Not only is it huge, the Amazon planes land here and then they just offload the stuff from the planes and load the planes. So, this is one of the spots where um it's not just a fulfillment center where cars go.
Planes bring the big stuff in. So, a lot going on here.
Believe it or not, guys, I'd rather get a net than one of those.
And that's coming from pilots telling me that way more stuff can go wrong on a helicopter uh than it can in the airplane. All right, guys. Listen, I love you. Take care. I'll be back, though. I'll be back.
