[00:00:42]Today is May 31st, 2026, the sacred Vesak full moon day, the most revered day in the Buddhist calendar, commemorating the birth, enlightenment, and Parinirvana of the Buddha. For Buddhists around the world, Vesak is a day of reflection and gratitude, but this Vesak carries a special significance. Today marks exactly 16 years since Venerable Bhikkhu Panyacara entered the monastic life. 16 years of walking a path few choose. 16 years of serving others. 16 years of carrying a message that the world desperately needs. A message of peace.

[00:01:23]On May 28th, 2010, during the sacred Vesak full moon, Bhikkhu Panyacara took ordination as a Buddhist monk. It was not merely a ceremony, it was a profound transformation.

[00:03:24]For over 2,500 years, the Buddha's teachings have guided countless people toward wisdom, compassion, and liberation. The Dāmacetiya Project seeks to safeguard that heritage, to create a sanctuary of peace, a place where future generations can connect with the Dhamma and reflect upon the timeless path shown by the Buddha.

[00:03:56]On May 22nd, 2024, the book Buoc Chan Han Gia, The Footsteps of a Buddhist Monk, was officially released. The book chronicles sacred journeys through India and Nepal between 2022 and 2023, but it is more than a travel journal. It is a reflection on mindfulness, on perseverance, on seeing the world through the eyes of a practitioner walking the Buddhist path. Through its pages, readers are invited to walk alongside the monk, to witness the sacred places of Buddhism, to contemplate deeper questions about life, suffering, and inner peace.

[00:04:44]There is something remarkable about these milestones. The ordination in 2010, the announcement of Dang Met Say Ti in 2022, the release of the book in 2024, three beautiful beginnings separated by years, yet all unfolding on the same sacred day of the lunar calendar, the Vesak full moon day, a powerful reminder that some moments are more than coincidence. They become symbols, symbols of dedication, symbols of continuity, symbols of a life aligned with purpose. The impact of Bhikkhu Panyagara's journey extends far beyond one country.
