Queen Victoria had a private railway station at Nine Elms in London from 1854 to 1878, which she used for royal travels to Windsor Castle and Southampton (for Osborne House on the Isle of Wight), as well as for hosting foreign dignitaries.

Why didn't they only go on the road train? They used to use they would used to go to Windsor and then they would go to the Isle of Wight. So down to Southampton and then across on a boat.
