[00:00:22]Okay. So um as usual I will now solve yesterday's paddle to give you just some hints how to solve paddle. So if you're new to pile you just want uh a tutorial how to solve paddle then stick around as I will now solve yesterday's paddle which was Steve from Minecraft.

[00:00:49]Okay. [clears throat] So, um, Steve is symmetrical around the y- axis.

[00:00:56]So, we're going to use cartisian coordinates x. It's going to go from minus2 to three. And that is um is exclusive. So, it's going to go minus2 to + two. But y um we're going just going to stick with pal coordinates.

[00:01:17]Okay. the first pixels we're going to tackle. So, a good strategy is normally to leave the um the color with the most pixels till last for like the final else statement. Um it works in quite a few situations.

[00:01:39]Now, it's probably pretty even between orange and brown. probably have five 6 7 8 9 10 11 12. So yeah, brown is definitely more than orange. So let's go for the oranges.

[00:01:55]Um so the first uh easy if statements would be the two on the on the verticals. So that would be if absolute value of x um equ= uh 2 and y greater than one. Let's just slowly pull it up.

[00:02:35]Let's run that.

[00:02:38]And I make this mistake often. So we need to convert back to pal coordinates.

[00:02:43]Um okay. So that is correct for that.

[00:02:47]And then the top part is going to brow.

[00:02:52]um say all y = 1 and absolute value of x is less than 2.

[00:03:07]Okay, so that part and then we've got the singular single pixel also need to cover. So or um so x is zero there. So x = y is 2.

[00:03:28]Um so say x = y - 2 = 0. That's just a compact way of writing that in Python.

[00:03:39]Okay. [snorts and clears throat] So got the orange pixel sorted. Now we're going to do the blues and the red together.

[00:03:49]Alif get the blues um absolute value of value of x equals um y is 2.

[00:04:11]So and x = absolute value of x = 1. So we need to say = y - 1 = 1.

[00:04:24]Let's do that start with slowly build it up. Let's make that blue.

[00:04:35]Okay, we've got the eyes.

[00:04:37]Uh, and then we're going to say or x equals. So, x is zero there. Y is 3.

[00:04:48]Um, 0 1 2 3 x = y - 3 = z. Okay, I'm going to color that one blue.

[00:04:59]Um, we did no need to do something special there. So, blue if y = 2, else red. Okay, that should cover that.

[00:05:16]Okay, now it's got it's got black hair and a black beard. So, we need to do all the remaining pixels.

[00:05:28]And let's just copy that statement over there.

[00:05:38]Okay. And that needs to be brown.

[00:05:43]Okay. So, let's run that.

[00:05:47]Okay. And that solves the title. And you get a nice kind of emoji um sequence you can paste in any social media you want. Uh, you can also see the character count. So, 198 out of 250.
