[00:00:00]I've been living in Sweden for ages, and I only recently found out that you're not allowed to dance in most Swedish bars. Did you know in Stockholm you actually needed permission to dance in a bar? For decades in Sweden, [music] there was a strange law from the 1930s.

[00:00:12]Venues like pubs and clubs had to get a [music] police permit if they wanted people to dance. No permit, even casual dancing could get the place fined or shut down. It was originally meant to control nightlife, [music] but over time it just became outdated and honestly pretty ridiculous. By the 2000s, [music] people across the country were calling it absurd. Still, it took until 2016 [music] for lawmakers to vote it out.
