[00:00:15]You know you can hang out in this studio and forget what's happening in the world outside of here, but going up in between the shows on a day like this and seeing that wall of windows with the sun still shining, it's great.

[00:00:28]>> Yeah, it sure is. And we've got a while to go before the sun goes down. So, after dinner walk, all those things in good shape.

[00:00:35]Yes, and take in the moments when we get them because as we know they don't last all that long. We are now getting into the warm air. There's a warm front kind of splitting the state. So, it's not quite as warm in the northern half of the state yet. Back here to the west we have a cold front and that approaches tomorrow afternoon. Waiting on some thunderstorms to ignite back in here.

[00:00:54]There haven't been too many yet, but tomorrow that action will get closer to us and arrive around this time tomorrow evening. There's a warm front and you can see it's separating cooler air in northern Maine from much warmer air to the south and west. It's 73 down in Portsmouth, but only 49 in Houlton right now. Overall tonight going to be a fairly balmy night, especially in southern Maine. The low temperature only in the upper 40s to around 50 and this time of the year the low happens at like 5:30 in the morning, which means by the time most of you get up and get moving, it'll start warming up. Now, during the day tomorrow we'll have a gusty south to southwest wind. That means a big range in both temperature and weather. On parts of the mid-coast and down east where that flow comes in off the ocean can be a little extra cloud cover and we'll stay in the upper 50s to near 60, but over western Maine and New Hampshire mid- to even upper 70s possible in that warmth tomorrow. And that will help fuel some late day showers and thunderstorms.

[00:01:49]We're totally dry through at least 2 or 3 o'clock, but by that point some storms up near the international border and then they slide east toward tomorrow evening, but they'll be encountering cooler marine air. So, a lot of this action will weaken. Your best bet for anything that can be strong or severe tomorrow afternoon will be in northern New Hampshire, the foothills, mountains, and far north. And as that action comes east and it runs into that cooler marine air, a lot of it will be weakening, but there may be an evening shower or rumble of thunder closer to the coastline. Now, tomorrow night this front never really comes through. So, on Wednesday it's still sitting over us and that'll mean showers in the mountains and up north kind of off and on on Wednesday. To the south though, most of the rain holds off until late in the day on Wednesday into Wednesday night. That's when it'll be wettest for most of us. Looks like this low does zoom through. So, on Thursday we turn partly sunny, temps in the 50s to low 60s. And right now we think Friday is on the cool side. Other than a pop-up shower, it should be mainly dry.

[00:02:49]You will add up all the rain through the week and the mountains have the best bet of picking up 2 in or more of rain. The least is expected at the coastline. Big reason for that we don't expect a whole lot to come through tomorrow. Seas tomorrow 5 to 8 ft. Gale watch is up on the water as the wind keeps picking up.

[00:03:05]So, big range in temperature tomorrow.

[00:03:07]If you're in western Maine, central Maine, you get well into the 70s with a chance for an afternoon thunderstorm.

[00:03:12]Along the coastline a lot of that action weakens. Showers up north during the day on Wednesday. Most of us get rain late Wednesday, Wednesday night. And then it's a little cooler heading into the weekend and while there are raindrops on there, there will be dry times. Sunday afternoon could show some promise. May get into the 60s Mother's Day afternoon.
