A Syrian Refugee’s Story of Survival Is Becoming a Film

[00:00:00]This Syrian refugee survived war, exile, and the loss of home, and now his story is becoming a film. His name is Hassan, and he is the creator of My Body is a Battleground, a short film about memory, displacement, survival, and the invisible wounds people carry after being forced to leave [music] everything behind. Because even when someone escapes danger, the trauma doesn't just disappear. It can stay in the body, in the mind, in everyday [music] life. This film is about what happens after the headlines move on, when a person is safe on paper, but still carrying fear, grief, and [music] memories that refuse to fade. This project is almost finished, but the final steps still [music] need support. Color grading, subtitles, audio mixing, voiceover, and a soundtrack.
