Brake Fluid Makes Green Jet of Fire

[00:00:02]It's a mix of pull chlorine plus brake fluid. But I want to make it more vibrant and colorful with green and blue flames. First step, we add copper to hydrochloric acid. Next, a dash of hydrogen peroxide, turning the solution green. That's the metal copper turning into dissolved copper chloride salts.

[00:00:18]Oops. And it kind of went everywhere.

[00:00:20]>> That's okay. It's just decomposing.

[00:00:22]>> But no stress. I can use this paper towel to test if I've succeeded at making my copper salts. If I blast this with my blowtorrch, it produces a very brilliant glue. Perfect. So now we remove the lumps of copper which dried up looking like the statue of Mona Lisa and we start boiling some of this liquid down. Once it's only a crust at the bottom, I scooped it up and added it into my brake fluid. My modified brake fluid is now ready. After pouring a cup of pool chlorine and adding our modified brake fluid, things started to get interesting. First, it started with a blue flame, which is just what I wanted.
