Meet Tsutomu Yamaguchi.
On August 6th, 1945, he was on a business trip in Hiroshima.
Suddenly, the sky exploded.
The US dropped the first atomic bomb just 2 mi from where he stood.
Yamaguchi was badly burned and bleeding, but he survived the night.
Desperate to get home, he crawled to the train station and traveled to his hometown for medical safety.
That town was Nagasaki.
3 days later, as he was explaining the horrors of Hiroshima to his boss, the air raid sirens wailed again.
The second atomic bomb detonated right above him.
Once again, against all laws of physics and nature, he survived.
He lived to be 93 years old.
