Federal authorities, including the FBI and Department of Homeland Security, conducted raids on multiple businesses in Minnesota, primarily targeting Somali-owned enterprises including childcare facilities like the Quality Learning Center, as part of an ongoing fraud investigation into alleged billing for services not provided; the investigation highlights the importance of joint state-federal law enforcement cooperation in detecting and prosecuting financial fraud schemes that could potentially involve hundreds of millions to billions of dollars in questioned funds.

The Minnesota Fraud Problem No One Is Talking About!Added:
As we know, the FBI and the Department of Justice has been cracking down on a lot of the situations that have been happening across the nation when it comes to fraud, when it comes to voting fraud, and we covered it here on the channel. Specifically, we've got some financial fraud that the FBI is specifically interested in that is happening in Minnesota. And y'all know, you've got Ilhan out there, you've got Tim Walz, you've got what's happening in Minneapolis and what we've seen has been reported, and it's got somewhat of a controversial situation they have going on there. But now we're actually going to look into what was happening behind these these systems that they had in place and even going into what was going on with some child care systems that Minnesota had and how that was being essentially, allegedly, used for fraud.
Let's check it out here. And shout out to Fox 9 for this article. They say, "Fraud in Minnesota, Quality Learning Center among businesses raided by the FBI just yesterday. All right, what happened?
FBI raids are underway on Tuesday. What we know. The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security investigators are executing 22 court-approved search warrants in the Twin Cities related to federal fraud investigation. This is not good.
Local agencies assisted with the search including the Hennepin, hopefully I said that right, County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota BCA. Fox News Bill M reports that the warrants have been executed mostly at Somali-owned businesses.
Shout out to Ilhan. There's a reason.
Also, Bill reports that the misspelled Quality Quality Learning Center, which rose to infamy after YouTuber Nick Shirley's video exposing alleged fraud at a daycare centers in the Twin Cities, is one of the spots that was raided on Tuesday. Shout out to Nick. The daycare reportedly closed for business early in January not long after the video came out. Shocking. What they're saying, FBI Minneapolis confirmed the raids in a statement saying, "Today, the FBI with federal, state, and local law enforcement is involved in the court-authorized law enforcement activity as a part of the ongoing criminal investigation." In a tweet, Homeland Security investigators issued a statement writing that Homeland Security investigators in cooperation with federal, state, and local law enforcement partners engaged in a court-authorized law enforcement operation in Minneapolis and the St. Paul area. Lots happening and going down in St. Paul. There has to be something deeper there because we saw what happened with the church in St. Paul, we saw what happened with them trying to out this pastor that was allegedly at the church there in St. Paul, and the Don Lemon situation, all happened in the same area. We saw what happened with with the Oh my gosh, I cannot remember her name. That's really sad. But the two people that were tragically shot and killed in that area, we saw that. I think Renee Good is the name's coming to mind, and then the other guy, Alex Pretty. Okay. It took me a second, but we got there. What's happening in Minneapolis is my question.
Either way, Vice President J.D. Vance applauded the efforts of federal investigation investigators writing, "The task force and the Department of Justice will be relentless in exposing these fraudsters wherever they may be hiding." And Representative Tom Emmer also shared a statement that read, "President Trump and his administration made it crystal clear, our country will not tolerate waste, fraud, and abuse, and we are not going to allow people to take advantage of America's generosity.
Thank you to the US Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security for taking action against Somali fraudsters. Minnesotans and US taxpayers across the nation are grateful." And then of course, Governor Tim Walz is going to speak out about it.
He is not happy. We're actually going to talk about what he said in another video. Because he said this in a tweet, "If you commit fraud in Minnesota, you're going to get caught, and that's exactly what we saw today. We catch criminals when state and federal agencies share information. Joint investigation work and securing justice depends on it. Today's raids by state and federal [snorts] law enforcement happened because our state agencies caught irregular behavior and reported it.
That's how the system is supposed to work, and our agencies will keep keep at it as long as there are fraudsters around to put behind bars. Now, let's work on the joint investigation into the kill He had to get it in there, and I'm glad he put the names in there because I almost lost it, but I got it on my own.
Of course, he had to throw this in here, and he said, "Now, let's work on the joint investigation into the killings of Alex Pretty and Renee Good instead of cherry-picking when we seek justice and when we turn a blind eye." Of course, he had to use this situation to make a political statement. But again, I can understand him saying that because we haven't heard much about the investigation, specifically when it comes to Alex Pretty. We have heard about Renee Good and the officer, as many of us agreed, acted in self-defense there as a car was being driven towards him.
Not really much to say. Renee Good did hit him. Alex Pretty is a little bit different, and I think a lot of the people over at the NRA were going to be interested in the outcome of that. We'll have to do more investigation looking into that. Either way, the city of Minneapolis shared in its own statement that it is not involved in the federal investigation, and Minneapolis police had not been asked to assist in the raid.
The statement reads, "The city of Minneapolis is not involved in the federal operations being reported around Minnesota today, and as of 9:30 a.m., MPD has not been We understand that any federal actions in our neighborhoods may spark fear amongst residents.
Why?
And we continue to marshal city resources to help the community in the aftermath of Operation Metro Search." So again, they're saying people are having an issue with the federal government being involved there, specifically ICE. Well, here's a little bit of the backstory, and then I'll actually get into a video that reveals more information about what happened here. The FBI and Homeland Security conducted similar raids on December on Medicaid providers as a part of an ongoing fraud investigation as federal producers, wow, said in fraud in Minnesota's fraud program could total more than $9 billion since 2018. I believe it.
State officials have reportedly pushed back on this claim saying there's currently no evidence that fraud against the state's Medicaid program is that rampant. They say, "It's happening. It's just not not 9 billion. It might be like 3 billion, guys. Okay.
We're fine. The fraud found and prosecuted cases of fraud the fraud that found in prosecuted cases so far only totals in the hundreds of millions of dollars. So again, you know, it's not 9 billion. Let's see what Live Now had to say about this. You're watching Live Now from Fox. I'm your host, Kristy Matino.
We continue to follow this breaking news coming out of Minneapolis. We do have a live look to bring you here now. This coming in a courtesy of Fox News as we're learning federal authorities raided more than 20 locations including child care facilities there in Minneapolis today. This is all a part of a sweeping fraud investigation into largely Somali-owned businesses. This is all according to the Department of Justice speaking to Fox News. And we do have a quote there saying, quote, "Today, the FBI with federal, state, and local law enforcement is involved in court-authorized law enforcement activity as part of an ongoing fraud investigation. And you see the original child care center in the background, one of the places that was being raided out there.
>> as of right now, authorities executed 22 federal search warrants in Minnesota today as part of this operation, which is not immigration-related. So our photographer there is zooming out, but I do have this post that has just come in here.
And it says, "HSI in cooperation with its federal, state, and local law enforcement partners engaged in court-authorized law enforcement operations in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area. For reasons of operational security and for the safety of our agents, we will not comment further at this time." Now, we do have several social media posts coming in here throughout the minutes. This one once again from Bill Melugin. Reading it to you now as he says, "DOJ confirms to Fox News that FBI and HSI agents are currently raiding at 20-plus locations in the Minneapolis, Minnesota area in relation to ongoing federal fraud investigations. Sources telling Fox locations are largely Somali-linked businesses including the infamous Quality Learning Center. I'm told that these are court-approved search warrants being served, and they are tied to fraud, not immigration enforcement."
Now, Fox also told 22 search warrants were executed in Minnesota this morning.
Going on to read that statement there from the DOJ. But I also wanted to share with you that the raids center on federal fraud investigations into these largely Somali-owned businesses including child care facilities that registered their daycare with the state for allegedly billing for care that was not provided. Now, Fox News is told that two of the raids were conducted at the Quality Learning Center and Baby Halima Child Care, both located there in Minneapolis. The Quality Learning Center received national attention after blogger Nick Shirley visited several child care addresses only to find an assortment of vacant or non-operational storefronts, closed businesses, or Somali occupants. And according to Fox News, they refused to answer questions or entertain the Paris Mock efforts to register a child with supposed daycare.
And that's amazing, man. Shout out to Nick Shirley. We need more of this.
That's why we have this program. That's why we're continuing to speak to speak to people at a local level because there a lot of this is happening across the country, and it could be happening in your hometown. So I think it's it would be so bad if people continue to just turn a blind eye to what's happening, how their money's being spent, and how this affects them in their own city. So, we're going to get into another conversation about this in a second. I want to know what you guys think about this situation in the comments in the chat. I have a feeling there's going to be more to this than meets the eye. We'll have to wait
