Creekmore’s observation captures the heartbreaking reality where systemic economic failure turns basic survival into a desperate act. It serves as a necessary reminder that behind every statistic lies a human struggle that requires community compassion rather than mere judgment.

I Saw Real Desperation at Dollar General TodayAdded:
How many Dollar General stores are there in the county where you live at right now? I can count four here where I am.
There may be five. I could be missing one, but I think there's four here in the county where I live at that I pass by just about every time I leave here to go up to town.
At least four Dollar General stores.
It's pretty much that way in every county, you know, surrounding me also and probably everywhere in the south and everywhere else it seems. You know, they say there's probably a Dollar General store on the moon every 10 miles or so.
Dollar General, Dollar General, Dollar General. But anyway, I stopped there every so often to pick up, you know, a few little things because Walmart is usually more crowded and usually takes more time to go in and get whatever you need to get. And that's really the only stores you are around here besides a few hardware stores and things is a Dollar General stores and Walmart. So, I stopped at Dollar General store today.
I've been to my mom's and I was coming back and I decided to stop at our general store to get, you know, a couple of things. So, I pull in the parking lot and there was four cars in the parking lot and I sat there for about 10 minutes, probably looking at my phone because I was checking my emails, checking the comments on my YouTube channel, YouTube videos, and just doing a few things on my phone before I went in. Not really any big hurt or anything.
I got done doing that. So, I went on into the Dollar General store and I went around the aisles and came back around and came back around around the the corner of another aisle and there was a woman there. She was probably about 35 years old and she had two kids with her and she was at the the freezer part where the frozen foods are at, you know, where they have things like the frozen pizzas, the sandwich meats and cheese and things. She was right there. So, I come around on the other side of the store rack. I can see her over here. And I noticed that she was shoplifting.
She was stealing sandwich meat and cheese and putting that in her bag. And I saw that and she didn't look like any kind of a drug addict. Didn't look like a drunk. didn't really look homeless or anything like that, but she was shoplifting food. And so I didn't say anything because, you know, it's not even my business to say anything about something like that. And I don't and I didn't know why she need that food for her. Hungry, no doubt.
Didn't have the money to buy food, no doubt. That's why she was shoplifting food. So, you know, I go on around and I get thinking about it.
So, I get my wallet out and I get $40 out of my bill fold. And I go back around where she is at. And I didn't tell her that I saw her doing that, but I told her that I got this feeling for some reason that she needed this $40.
And so, I handed her the $40. And she didn't want to take it, but I insisted she take it because she had the kids.
and I saw she was taking food out of the store and hoped she put that back. I didn't mention it, like I said. I didn't watch her anymore. I gave her that $40 and she thanked me after putting the resistance to it, you know, and I went on around and got my stuff and checked out.
But it was sad that someone was having to steal shoplift food, you know, baloney and cheese and just sandwich meats. Usually people would shoplift something that they could resale, something that had a lot more more value than just food.
Someone getting food and had two kids there was definitely getting it because they couldn't afford to make ends meet. didn't have enough money to buy enough food to eat. Really sad situation, but it shows how bad the economy is right now for a lot of people when they're having a shoplift food from the Dollar General store.
Really, really sad. So, you know, guys, if you see something like that and it's if they're obvious drug addict, that's different. I mean, spend your money on food, not drugs. But the woman didn't look like she's on drugs at all. Didn't look like it at all. You can tell most of the time, especially it's hard drugs.
They've been on drugs for, you know, quite some time. It's easy to tell, you know, a drug addict, a drug addict.
And I didn't get that feeling from her whatsoever. The feeling I got was hunger.
Not having enough money to pay the bills, to buy gasoline for a vehicle, to keep utilities on, and to buy food. So she's having so she's having to resort, you know, the shoplifting. That is sad for America. It really is. And you know, she probably got food stamps and stuff like that. More than likely, I don't know. More than likely she does. But still yet, the way everything is now in the economy, the way the prices are going up all the time, diesel fuel prices going to go skyhigh. They're already high. And that's diesel fuel prices has the most effect on uh prices because diesel is used to ship, you know, on the trucks and things, groceries and every all everyday items to the shipping. Diesel. You see the prices on diesel, gasoline also, but the prices on diesel affects the prices on the products and the stores and the price on the gasoline affects the customer, the consumer's ability to buy things, to afford things. And you take and you're having to pay $20 more a week for gasoline, another $80 a month, that adds up. And a lot of people are just right on the edge of not being able to make it, not being able to make ends meet to get from point A to point B to go to work to be able to afford to keep their utilities on to be able to afford to keep their kids fed, keep a roof over your their head. It is really really sad. And a lot of people will look down on someone like that to stealing food.
But really, if you think about it, if you're a parent, you'll do whatever needs to be done to help feed your kids. And like I said, she had her kids. That's a good sign.
Not it's a good sign of not being a drug addict because a lot of drug addicts has lost her children. And she had two kids there. And she didn't look like a drug addict. She wasn't high. She wasn't drunk. and she wouldn't, you know, you see a lot of drug addicts, they'll be doing this, especially when methan fed them. They'll be doing this all kinds of stuff all the time and you know, you can tell I didn't get that vibe. The only vibe I got from her was desperate, desperation, trying to feed the kids. And I know there be some jackass come on here. Oh, she can't she to do that to feed her kids. Then the kids need to be taken and put in the foster care. No, people get down. People have trouble.
People have financial troubles. And maybe it it's not all the time. Maybe it's just this month she's having trouble. Might not have trouble next month. So don't be jumping to conclusions and trying to be some smart ass since you need to lose her kids.
That should be the last thing that a parent has to go through is losing their kids to the government. to put those kids in a foster home with people that that wouldn't give a about them more than likely.
That should be a last option.
And like I said, it might not be all the time. She might have trouble all the time. Trouble she had could just be from, you know, unexpected expense for this month, something like that. So, you can't come out and say, "These are kids taken."
But a lot of people probably will.
That's not my That's not my opinion on this though. I definitely wouldn't recommend that in a lot of cases.
Loud vehicle going that way. But anyways guys, that shows the economy and it shows people's desperation. And the thing about it is, you know, there's people in here running their mouth in the comments more than likely. There's always people running their mouth in the comments or running their fingers in the comments about something.
Who knows? You may be next.
You might be next way looking. Lose your job, have an unexpected expense, and you may be trying to shoplift food to eat for your kids or food for your kids to eat. Hopefully. Hopefully not.
But don't think it's not gonna happen to you because more than likely most people that that happened to didn't think it happened to them either. And then they find theirel in this situation where having to shoplift food where they're having to hear their kids' bellies rumble and growl and saying, "Mommy, I'm hungry." And you'd do whatever needs to be done to feed your kids, wouldn't you?
sad in America. The land of the free, the home of the brave, the wealthiest nation on the face of the planet, the strongest military, the strongest everything, the bestest government in the world.
Everything is just great. People shoplift food.
roads falling apart, infrastructure falling apart, massive national debt, corruption in the government, run by the Epstein class, pretty much what the government's ran by.
Anyways, guys, I don't want to make this into a political rant. It'd be easy to, but there's not really no point in it.
This point is about poverty, desperation, and if you can help someone, if you can afford to help someone and someone you see that's not obvious drug addict, not a thief. I mean, it's hard to tell just from meeting someone. There's a bug on my leg trying to crawl. But if you can help someone, help someone.
If you need help, hope someone will help you. Also, if you like the video, give it a big thumbs up. Thanks for watching.
I'll see you guys in the next video hopefully.
