The Twilight Zone! | Little Box of Horrors | April 2026 | Nail Polish SwatchesAdded:
[music] [singing] >> Hey everybody, welcome back to my channel. Welcome if you're new. My name is Mercedes. In today's video, I have polishes for April Little Box of Horrors to share with you. Now, if you haven't heard of what Little Box of Horrors is, it's a monthly collab between indie makers. They get together, our indie makers, every single month and they create limited edition items and it's all based off of like a paranormal, spooky, thriller sort of theme. Now, for the month of April, it's the Twilight Zone. Now, on the Little Box of Horrors website, obviously we have like our polishes, but there's a whole bunch of other things on there, earrings, sometimes you have little wallets, um nail care, hand care. Items can be capped, meaning that there's only a certain amount that are created. Once they sell out, that is it. They are all gone. Sometimes makers can and will add product, like additional product, but that doesn't always happen. So, if you really love something, make sure you get to the shop when they open. So, wish listing starts on the 18th and then shop opens 22nd and then you have until the 30th until shop closes and it is a pre-order. So, [snorts] when shop does close, you can get your order or you will get your order from like 3 to 4 weeks from that time that shop closes.
All right, guys, let's get into the swatches.
First up is BCB Lacquers and this is called Beyond the Door, priced at $13.75 and capped at 100 bottles. The inspiration is the Twilight Zone season 1 CD cover and it's described as a teal teal linear holo with green blue shifting shimmer. Amazing formulation, but of course, it's BCB Lacquers, so are we surprised? Because I'm not surprised.
Two amazing coats.
I think two coats is going to be perfect on everybody. The linear holo in here is absolutely stunning.
I don't swatch in the sunlight. I typically don't. So, unfortunately, I can't show it off in the sun, but you can just tell from all of the like iciness that this is giving off. Like that's what I describe it when there's so much holo in there. It gives you like this icy sheen across the nails. That's how you know the rainbows are going to peek out. But, honestly, I'm just in love with this with the actual base color and the tone. The green blue shifting shimmer in here just is so so vibrant and it looks so amazing. Like I want to wear this as a full manicure just for the color in itself. The in like the holo is just a plus.

The next polish is from Cracked Polish and it's called do do do do do do do, priced at $14 and capped at 200.
The inspiration is the Twilight Zone.
The description says that this polish pulls you in before you even realize what's happening and that they traveled to another dimension with this one.
It's a smoky metallic gray polish and I agree with the description of it being a smoky gray. It has these really pretty like subtle like pinky purpley shifts, unless that's just my eyes playing tricks on me, but I definitely feel like I see some pinky purple in there, very very lightly though.
I feel like this one would be your perfect like springtime, summertime vampy shade because it has that silvery metallic like look which gives a lot of light. Like it draws a lot of light to your nails, but the smokiness, the shifts that it has gives you like that vampy edge. I'm not a big fan of metallic like finishes, but there's something about this one that I really do like and I think it's because of the shifts, like the darker smokier gray shifts that it has, um that is just drawing me into it.
Which the description says it pulls you in before you even realize what's happening. So, that could be it, too.
Pictured are two coats of Cracked Polish do do do do do do and a glossy top coat.
Our next polish is from Jen and Berries and this is called Evidence of Trespass, priced at $13.50 and no cap. Um the inspiration is the Nightmare at the Nightmare at 20,000 Feet episode, which starred William Shatner. Um it happens to be the only episode that the maker vividly remembers.
It's described as a black base with a rainbow of holographic micro glitters.
This one built up beautifully. I'm going to say three coats on everybody. It's very crally like, but still very like buildable. You're going to get an opaque finish in three coats. Um love this overall. Like the micro glitters in here, they're just like they're so sparkly and still stand out even though we're working with a darker base coat. Yes, this is a black base, but I think because of all those rainbow micro glitters in here, it's sort of giving you like a really dark dark dark dark purple tone to the finished look, um which I like. Like I like how it sort of makes your base sort of glow. But, really really love this one. Feels like I'm always looking for some sort of like dark black polish that has some sort of glitter or some sort of fun spin to it.
This one's definitely one of those.
Pictured are three coats of Jen and Berries Evidence of Trespass and a glossy top coat.
Our next polish is from Night Owl Lacquer and this is called Weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices, priced at $13 and there is no cap. And the inspiration is the Twilight Zone episode The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street. It is a blackened blue jelly filled with fuchsia holographic micro glitter flakes, micro glitter flakes.
This one [snorts] I went in for three coats. It is a jelly sort of finish, so I think three coats on everybody is going to work best. I will say just please make sure you let your coats dry in between. It is very chock-full of those micro little glitter flakies, so you want to make sure things dry so that you're not dragging any polish as you're going with all of your layers.
Beautiful, vibrant, love it. Again, another like blackened base, but still very vibrant, right? So, you have your blackened blue jelly, which you sort of see that like blue smokiness coming out from like the edges of the nail, but it has a lot of purple in there. Obviously, that's because of the fuchsia micro glitter flakies because they are so jam-packed.
So, our blue jelly base is very light, gives you a smoky vibe, but what we're mainly focusing on is those lovely glitter flakies. They have a beautiful beautiful glow and just make this polish like 10 times more vibrant than if it just had the jelly finish base, right? Pictured are three coats of Night Owl Lacquer Weapons That Are Simply Thoughts, Attitudes, Prejudices and a glossy top coat. Raindance Lacquer is bringing us As Timeless As Infinity, priced at $13.50, capped at 50. The inspiration is Jordan Peele's Twilight Zone. This one's described as a rich maroon jelly polish with large particle pink to gold flaky shimmer and then it also has silver and blue reflective glitter. So, this one I decided to go in for three coats. I just felt like that third coat needed it to give me like the most rich-looking base color and I was right. So, I'm going to say three coats on everybody and it is a jelly polish, to be fair. Um beautiful maroon base, lots of pink and lots of like reddish undertones in here.
The shimmer in here is stunning. It is like flaky shimmer, so it is large and in charge and just sparkles in all the angles that you could possibly need look at on your nails, whatever the case. Um and then the addition of the silver and blue reflective glitter. It's not too too much. It's just enough to add in even more dimension and more sparkle. But, I feel like for this polish, like what I'm looking at the most is that beautiful maroon jelly base. It is such a pretty tone.
Pictured are three coats of Raindance Lacquer As Timeless As Infinity and a glossy top coat.
Raindance Lacquer is also bringing us Third from the Sun, priced at $13.50, capped at 50. The inspiration is season 3 of the Twilight Zone from 1985.
This one's described as a sunny yellow crally with green aurora shimmer that shifts slightly purple and blue depending on the lighting. So, for this one I think three coats will work best for everybody. It's crally and it's a yellow polish, so both of those combos, you really want to build it up to get the most opaque look on the nail. Now, straight on, you can see a lot of that blue um shimmer and the purple, I'd say like at extreme angles. Um you can sort of see it at the edges of my nails here. I agree with the description. It is a super sunny yellow polish. My camera was sort of like freaking out, so my hands look a little more pale than what they really are because it's trying to focus on the brightness of this polish, but it is beautiful, perfect for the spring and summertime and the shimmer in here gives it such a lovely lovely glow.
Pictured are three coats of Raindance Lacquer Third from the Sun and a glossy top coat.
Victorian Varnish is bringing us Another Dimension, priced at $14 and capped at 60. The inspiration is the Disney World Tower of Terror that's located at WDW Studios in Florida and their theme for that ride is the Twilight Zone.
It is a dark smoky base with silvery blue the silvery blue line once you magnetize it and once you magnetize it, it's going to reveal a teal aqua green shimmer.
So, I did two coats with no magnet and then on the third coat I did it in the with the magnet. So, my pinky is non-magnetized and my pointer and middle have the cat eye version and then my middle finger is the velvet form. And that banging is my kids.
>> [gasps] >> So, if you hear that, don't worry, nobody's breaking into my house.
They are probably breaking something in my house.
But this one is super super shifty, super glowy. I think I love this one in the velvet form. It just gives you that lovely shimmery look on the nail. In the cat eye version, it makes it look more mysterious.
Um I feel like in all versions we can see even the unmagnetized version, we can see the shifts so wonderfully. So, like you can't go wrong either way.
Pictured are three coats of Victorian varnish, another dimension, and a glossy top coat.
What Addiction is bringing us Time Enough at Last, priced at $13 and capped at 50. And the inspiration is the maker's favorite episode, Time Enough at Last. It's described as a dusty dusky dusty and dusky pinky peach base that has rose gold shimmer, um peach pink orange and purple flakes, and then just a tad of ultra black ultra micro black glitter.
So, for this one I went in for three coats. I think three coats will work best on everybody. It has a very curly jelly-like formulation.
This color of pink is so pretty. I know it says it's pinky pinky peach, but on me it pulls a lot more of the pink tones and I'm okay with that because I love a good pink. Peach, not so much, at least on my skin tone. But with this polish, we see a lot of the pinky tones. Could be because we have the rose gold shimmer, right? And then we have some of that pinky and orange flaky is that is that are in here as well. Um but it is a really pretty pinky polish and I can see myself wearing this as like a nice palate cleanser in between like my bright shades or dark shades during either winter, spring, or summer.
Pictured are three coats of What Addiction Time Enough at Last and a glossy top coat.
And then our last polish, What Addiction is bringing us A Dimensional Beyond Normal, priced at $13 and capped at 50.
This one's inspired by Twilight Zone artwork. It's described as a deep teal with green blue flakies, pink micro tinsel, and a tiny touch of reflective glitter. So, again, like a curly jelly formulation, so I decided to do three coats and it was perfect. Still getting a lot of the like jelly vibes, so a lot of the like um like what is that called again? Pond effect vibes, yes. I was going to say swamp effect, not that.
Pond effect, um where we can see sort of, you know, the layers, the components just sort of layered into the nail.
Love this teal color, so flattering, so bright, so fun. It is like one of those shades where like you can get away with wearing it in any season because it's like not super bright, but it's not super dark. I also love all the components in here. We have a lot of different things which sort of sort of gives you like that kitchen sink sort of vibe, but because everything is so micro and tiny, they just work very well with each other. Nothing looks like super busy, but for me anyways, what I'm paying attention to is that beautiful base color. I love that tone.
Pictured are three coats of What Addiction A Dimensional Beyond Nor- A Dimension Beyond Normal and a glossy top coat.
Actually guys, we have one more. This is Zombie Claw Checked In Never Out, priced at $13.75, capped at 50 bottles. The inspiration is by the Tower of Terror in Disney World.
It's described as a red gold copper flaky filled polish. Now, I feel like this would be a great topper. I built it up on its own because I think it's absolutely beautiful. The flakies that are in this polish are so like reflective, like they're very just very foil-like, so they capture the light so beautifully.
Um You can see on the nails, it does look like I get like full opacity. Like they they do a great job at covering up my entire nail bed, which is pretty impressive.
Just the tone of this, the like orangey like burnt orange like red undertones of the flakies is just right up my alley. I love these sort of tones. And then the flakies, they're just so bright and lovely. I think a lot of people are going to really love this polish and there's a super low cap, so that means it might sell out.
Pictured are three coats of Zombie Claw Checked In Never Out and a glossy top coat.
All right, I have two favorites. First one being from BCB Lacquers and this one is called Beyond the Door. Absolutely loved this one on first swipe, literally first swipe. I think this was actually the first one I swatched for Little Box of Horrors and I just loved I fell in love with the formula at first, but then as I finished swatching, completed the full mani, I was just so like mesmerized by the shimmer and then just this beautiful tone, like this blue teal-y sort of base. I just loved it. The next one is from Jen and Berries. I just have two if I didn't mention that. This one is called Evidence of Trespass.
Um this is just so pretty, like it built up beautifully. I love love love. I think those are micro glitters in here.
Um loved the micro glitters in this polish. Um I know this is more of a darker color and we're sort of moving into like spring summer time, but I would totally wear this in the spring or summer. There's just something about it that like I don't know, made me feel like so sophisticated and fresh and just like good to conquer anything. All right, everybody, that is all that I have for you today. Let me know if what you plan on wish listing, if you plan on wish listing, if there's anything that you saw today that I swatched that you're like, yes, I need to have.
Um this is just some of the items that are going to be available. There's way more, so go check out the website. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you in my next one.
