This video presents a community survey ranking the factions in Zenless Zone Zero based on player preferences, revealing that the Cunning Hares (8.45/10) is the most popular faction due to its modern urban setting and found family dynamic, while Belobog Heavy Industries (6.15/10) ranks last, primarily because of limited screen time and being from the early game era. The survey demonstrates how character composition, storyline presence, and faction uniqueness significantly influence player preferences in gacha games.

Which ZZZ Factions are the most HATED & LOVED by fans?!Hinzugefügt:
I hosted a survey asking Zenless Zone Zero players who their favorite factions are in the game, as well as who their favorite member is within each one. Each faction was rated on a scale from 1 to 10. 1 being you hate them and want them off your screen, and 10 being you absolutely adore them. I posted the survey on Twitter and my YouTube community tab, and collected several thousand responses. As always, thank you to everyone who participated. I crunched the numbers, did a little tabulating, and I'm now here to present a community ranking of all the factions in Zenless Zone Zero, according to you guys. But before we get started, look, I know you saw that season 3 trailer. If you can already hear your wallet crying after all those character reveals, you're going to want to hear about today's sponsor, Eneba, so you can save some cash on your upcoming banner pulls.

I love using their platform because nothing feels better than checking that cash back button next time you go to make a purchase. Thank you again to Eneba for sponsoring today's video. Be sure to click the link in the description below to check out all they have to offer. Starting off in 13th place, dead last, we have Belobog Heavy Industries with an average score of 6.15 out of 10. And let me be the first to say, off rip, like 6.15 out of 10 is honestly not bad for last place. Makes you think. Just goes to show. This faction is responsible for in-hollow construction, typically using giant robots and other smart construction machinery. This faction consists of Caleda, Grace, Anton, and Benjamin Bigger, an early faction from the 1.0 era. Maybe it's because they didn't get a lot of screen time. Maybe it's because it's been a while. I'm guessing the former as this person said, "Only faction they rated below six is Belobog, mostly because we don't see them enough and a little underwhelming. Anton's my bro though. On the other side of the spectrum, Belobog for life. No other factions as wacky, funny, and interesting as them. 10 out of 10 with an Anton profile picture." Perhaps this might come down to character composition. I mean, we have two A-rank agents and two S-ranks that are also on the standard banner and are known for killing people. So, 50/50s. All right, let's see who the favorite member is.
It's pretty dang close, but Grace Howard is surprisingly the people's favorite member from Belobog Heavy Industries.
Anton in last. Oh, go the amount of Anton profile pictures I always see on my channel. Like, "Let's go, Anton!"
[laughter] His fans are loud and I love them. They're so fun. Relatively even distribution across the board though, honestly. No like breakout winner. I'm personally surprised to see Belobog in dead last. I feel like they're kind of non-offensive, but maybe that's why they're later down in the list. There's not really any hate, but like maybe there's not a lot of extreme love either, which you can see in the graph here. A lot of like just sort of in the middle vibes. In 12th place, we have Krampus Compliance Authority with an average of 6.77.
They are an organization with In Tops, punishing rule breakers and smacking people in the foot. Consisting of Xiao, Dylin, Banyue, and Promeya. Okay, this one I'm not surprised to see down towards the bottom considering they're affiliated with Tops. People don't always love them in general. You know, they're authority figures in the community. Can be a little strict. There are some members though that I know are very popular. Dylin and Banyue in particular. In fact, let me see. Oh my god, yeah, Banyue and Dylin are like kind of neck and neck here for sure. But Bon Iway is the most popular member from Krampus. I'm so proud of him. He's my personal fave as well. The people do not trust Promeya apparently and dead last.
Krampus is also a newer faction becoming prominent in season 2, which I know people are sort of hit or miss about in general. Overall, personally, I would say a word to describe Krampus would be stiff. We're professional. We're business-like. We're going to get stuff done and get you potentially in trouble.
They are cool. We have some good members. But I can see why they're near the bottom. And as of me recording this, Promeya is actually not currently in the game yet. I don't know, dude. Maybe she's going to kickflip into our hearts with her BDSM ways, whatever. But as of right now, this is how we stand. Number 11 is Yunque's Summit with an average of 6.82.
Speaking of divisive, good heavens. As we're very familiar with them from season 2, the disciples of Yunque's Summit hanging out, helping people, keeping things under control, and keeping that Qingming sword at bay. For our purposes, members include Yu Xuan, Ju Fufu, Pin Yin Wu, and Ye Shenguang.
And Ye Xiu Yuan. Girl, I don't know.
This faction, I see so much back and forth about this on social media. People love them. People hate them. People think they ruined them in season zero.
The vibes in season 2 were not the same vibes as season 1. And if you weren't a fan of that, a lot of it gets directed at Yunque's Summit. Just out of curiosity, uh let's see who our favorite member was. Yu Xuan. Okay, I'm actually surprised. I thought for sure it was going to be Ye Shenguang. She didn't even come in second. She came in third behind Ju Fufu. And poor Pin Yin Wu in dead last. Again, I feel that's sort of inevitable when it's an A-rank agent, but we'll see if anybody can uh defeat that curse later on. Yeah, I mean, this might come down as well to like the individual members. Again, like being sort of polarizing. As far as the bar graph is concerned, pretty top-heavy, but like kind of all over the board, all things considered. Yeah, this one probably comes down to how people feel about season 2 in general, which I think is fair. If you're a fan of how the storyline went, you're probably going to love them. But if not so much, oh, you know, perhaps they're ranked lower on your personal list. Me personally, I'm a season 1 girly, so I personally understand, I get it, and I'm not surprised to see them lower on the list.
In fact, with how much I see people yapping about it online, I would expect them to be in dead last, but you know what? It is what it is. In 10th place, we have Obel Squad with an average of 6.99.
One of the squads currently under command of New Aethel Defense Forces Obsidian Division, with members including Magus and Orpheus. Yes, we did separate them. Trigger, Seed, and Soldier 11. I can already smell a thousand feet away who the most popular member is in this group. Let's see who we got. Trigger, yes. Oh my god, she killed it. 40.8% of the votes. And I feel like this is the problem right here. Just a theory, but I'm thinking that one particular member pulling so much weight sort of leaves the other characters in the dust, and maybe will bring the whole squad down as a result.
Obel Squad was also very present in the storyline in [music] season 2, which as we spoke of before, perhaps is starting to lean in a certain direction in terms of their popularity due to mixed feelings about the season in general.
Also, I personally finding this intriguing that Magus is in dead last, but Orpheus is like in second place. Do people think Magus tears down Orpheus as a whole, or do you prefer them together?
As we know, Seed on her own is also very controversial as a character. I just did a design ranking, and Seed was actually the bottom-ranking character in the entire game due to a variety of things, but namely people being upset about the robot design versus the girl design that we ended up with, as well as her marketing push with the sort of like feet-centric visuals, if you will. And overall, not one of the the favorites amongst the people. Coming in at number nine, we have Mockingbird with an average of 7.44. A notorious Phantom Thieves Syndicate in New Aethel. With members including Hugo Vlad and Vivian.
All right, Vivian or Hugo, who's going to be the more popular member? Well, by a pretty wide margin, Vivian with 64.2% of the vote is the more popular of the two members. I'm personally surprised by that. I feel like Hugo fans are very loud about their love for him, but Vivian's design absolutely clears. She ranked extremely high on my design ranking survey, so maybe I'm not that surprised after all. And speaking of design in general, Mockingbird as a whole is just very aesthetically pleasing. They're cool. They're Phantom Thieves. They've got their cool-toned dark color scheme. They're sort of vampire, almost gothic flare. They're interesting. They're unique. But, I'm thinking maybe we need to see a little bit more of them in order for them to rank higher up on the list. And overall, you know what, this is just a very tough competition. I will commend Zenless Zone Zero in the way that they treat most of their factions. They bring them back.
It's not like we hang out with them one time and then they're just forgotten forever. Factions from season 1 come back in season 2. And I'm confident that people we've seen all the way throughout are going to show up in season 3 and beyond as well. Especially for big holiday-ish patches such as New Year's or everyone banding together for the drama of an end of season update. Bring back Mockingbird. Let's pull a heist.
Number eight, we have Criminal Investigation Special Response Team, otherwise known as New Eridu Public Security or PubSec. Their average score was 7.57.
Of course, the cops, you know, keeping things in line in New Eridu. One of our largest factions, we have Zhu Yuan, Tiege, Jane Doe, Seth Lowell, and Sicia.
Combining them all into one faction to just keep things simple. Got a bit of a variety of cop-like behavior here. You know, we have someone like Zhu Yuan or Seth who are pretty strict in their cop-like duties. You know, they take it very seriously. We also have someone like Jane Doe who's more of like special ops, you know, going undercover, giving us a bit of gray area once in a while.
And our newest member, Sicia. Lover or hater, she is an interesting member for this faction, both in her design and her attitude. Very curious to see who our most popular members are here. Jane Doe in first place, you know, actually not surprised to see that one. Sicia in second. Okay, that one's shocking. Zhu Yuan in third. And tied for fourth, we have Tiege and Seth. This faction started all the way in the beginning in season 1, got a new member in season 2, and will continue getting new members likely in season 3 as we can see with Seth's brother. Please make him playable. I would say this is one of the more ever-present factions in Zenless Zone Zero. Being cops, I guess it makes sense that they're sort of just like they got their grubby little fingers in every single plot line essentially.
They're here to keep the peace. They're here to keep the order. I don't have a problem with them. They're pretty cool.
And God bless them for not narking out Faith in every 15 seconds, I swear. My guess is that sort of being cops, maybe they got dragged down a little bit just because it's sort of, you know, we have we have other factions that perhaps have a little bit more interesting theming.
But with the popularity of a lot of their members, they still manage to pull towards the middle of the pack. Number seven are the Angels of Delusion, aka the Angels of Illusions or the Angles of Delusion. Their average score was 7.69.
Our newest full faction splitting down the middle here. Of course, our resident pop idol group consisting of Nangong, Arya, and Suna with the most popular member being Arya with Nangong at a close second and Suna in third. These girly pops are just so lovable. They're so bubbly. They're so fun. All with very distinct personalities. They bounce off each other really well and they definitely come off as a true friend group. I've seen a lot of positivity from the community about the Angels of Delusion, especially since they came up towards the end of season 2. I know a lot of people found them to be refreshing and sort of a return to the season 1 vibes that we were getting so used to before.
>> And dearly missing, quite frankly. We've known about them for a very long time and people were so hyped when they were finally about to be added to the game.
I'm surprised to see them sort of splitting the middle here, but maybe this one just comes down to personal preference. If you're not the biggest fan of the sort of pop idol trope, the sort of, you know, bubblegum pink girly pop vibes, which is totally fair. But I'm personally looking forward to seeing how they're utilized more in the future.
Maybe we'll get more music tracks or another concert arc maybe for the next New Year, who knows. I'm excited. Number six is Stars of Lyra with an average of 7.74 just barely beating Angels of Delusion. This faction is also considered a famous musical group in New Eridu, consisting of two members, Astrea Yao and Evelyn, her bodyguard. Of the two members, it looks like Evelyn just squeaked by in number one with 51.7% of the votes, and Astrea with 48.3%.
Okay, okay, that's pretty fair, like almost 50/50. Girly pop, pop idol, plus like a badass, a leather-clad, rope-swinging Evelyn. We got a really good dynamic here. I know a lot of people are very passionate about Astrea and Evelyn's dynamic, their storyline, their relationship. I mean, if you love them as characters, you can't really go wrong here. This is a good example of like, these are just two very loved characters in general, so of course their faction's going to be popular. I would personally love to see more members added to this faction, maybe someone like Padme, you know, another pop idol. Let's Let's build this out a little bit, you know? Let's Let's get a Let's get a dream team going here.
Fingers crossed in season 3 or beyond we get some more Stars of Lyra action going on. When they were first revealed, I remember thinking it was sort of random that there was just like this faction with only two members that doesn't really always feel like a faction. It's just like Astrea and guest. Like, I can only assume that they're just going to fill this one out as we go to sort of justify the creation of the faction in general, but we shall see. Number five is Spook Shack with an average of 8.15.
We've broken the 8.0. All right, I didn't know the best way to explain these guys, so let me just read what it says in the wiki. Unlike most other factions, Spook Shack is not an organized group or company. It is an internet forum dedicated to sharing and solving supernatural mysteries and unexplained phenomenon, aka Scooby-Doo.
The forum has no entry requirements, and most of its members are online friends who share common interests. Those members being Yuzuha, Alice, Manato, Lucia, and Eid Hari. These guys are so fun. I love the fact that they weren't just like an official organization.
Y'all want to form a club? Hell yeah.
They're just doing spooky stuff together. You know what? I want to join.
If I can join any of these factions, this would be the one. And I think that's what makes them so endearing.
They're just hanging out, doing good, helping people. What more could you ask for? As far as our most popular member goes, it looks like that goes to Yuzuhana with 29.1% of the votes. Second place is Monato, followed by Alice, Lucia, and It Hari in last place. No matter what, I feel like It Hari and Lucia are always like neck and neck for being last. Again, this was another thing I noticed in the design survey.
This commenter said, "Spook Shack really came in clutch when waifu arc became a slog. Yuzuhana and Alice are still among my favorite designs." Yeah, again, I feel like people who weren't really a fan of season 2 perhaps really enjoyed Spook Shack and their creativity and uniqueness. They're different. They're strange. They're kind of oddballs. With every member really being unique from one another. I have seen this sentiment a lot that this was definitely a bright spot of season 2 in general. Personally, I have to agree. Also, they had a lot of involvement in the summertime event, which I always find to be a highlight.
people do, too. I am excited to see what future shenanigans they get up to. Give us a Halloween-themed patch, please, and let them be the centerpiece. Number four is Holo Special Operations Section 6 with an average of 8.23. [music] You know them. You love them. Taking care of nasties in the Holos and looking cool while doing it. Their members include Miyabi, Yanagi, Harumasa, and Sokaku. Let me just take a wild stab in the dark who's going to be the most popular member here. Oh my god. 52.8% voted for Miyabi, with Harumasa in second place, Yanagi in third, and Sokaku in last. Miyabi is generational talent, I swear to god. And I don't mean in her sword skills. She clears and pulls in so many different ways. Every time I do one of these community surveys, if Miyabi's not in the top five, like something's wrong, okay? I guarantee that Miyabi really pulled Section 6 up in this ranking just on her own. Not to underestimate my Harumasa girlies. I know y'all are passionate. I mean, what more can I say? They are cool as hell. Their first appearance, they just ripped on by tearing down some materials like, "Whoa, hello. Who are those people?" Again, similar to Pub Sec, they're just very present. They're always around. Who are you going to call when you're having a problem? Probably Section 6. Need to sweep up some bad guys? Hey, get me Abby on the phone, dude. They're reliable. They make you feel safe. And I'm going to go as far as to say they make you feel hype. When you see these guys pop up, you're like, "Oh, hell yeah. Here we go." If we don't win the day after Section 6 shows up, I don't know who else to call. I don't know. The Tin Master, get him on the line. This is one of those factions where I just like, I don't know. I personally can't see them adding any other members. It feels so complete.
It's like a family. I see this come up a lot when talking about factions in general is that a lot of them feel like found families. The members get along together. They feel connected. Their storylines intertwine. I feel like it adds a lot of weight to the storytelling to sort of group people off and have them all have special relations with one another. I would be very curious to see in the future what percentage of new characters would be added to existing factions versus creating new ones because it would definitely change up the dynamic a lot to just throw another member into Section 6 and be like, "Here I am. I've been on sick leave. Hi."
Like, "All right, let's go." All right, we've made it to the top three most popular factions in Sunless Zone Zero.
Starting at number three, we have Victoria Housekeeping with an average score of 8.30.
A housekeeping agency responsible for various services, notably household chores like cleaning, cooking, and yard work down to security management and cake and butts. Their members include Von Lycaon, Alexandrina Sebastian, [music] Corin Wickes, and Ellen Joe. Another Season 1 classic. Speaking of spooky vibes and just being sick, I love Victoria Housekeeping. They're one of my personal favorites. They're just odd.
They're strange. Again, every member has a very distinct vibe. Let's see who our most popular here is. We have Lycaon in first place, 44.8. Furry Agenda Rise Up, Let's Go with Ellen Joe in second, Corin in third, and Rina in last. Oh, interesting. Why don't people like Rina?
What's up with that? Leave a comment down below if you were a certified Rina not enjoyer. Victoria Housekeeping is frankly doing their own thing, potentially up to shady stuff, but that's none of my business. Lycaon is sick as hell on his own. Again, he's like another Miyabi like where I feel like Lycaon just clears whatever the category is. Everybody loves a good spooky vibe. It's unique, it's unexpected. Good siren representation here as well, which we always love to see that. Overall, you just can't go wrong. And I would really love to see more from them in the future. Our runner-up most popular faction in second place is Sons of Caladon with an average of 8.41.
A biker gang led by Caesar King that operates on the outer ring of New Era Dio. Their members include, of course, Caesar King, Lucy, Bernice, Lighter, Piper, and Pulcra. With our most popular member being Lighter with 30.5% of the votes. In second place, close by, is Bernice, followed by Caesar, Lucy, Piper, and Pulcra in last place. Another highly unique faction hanging out in the outer ring riding around on their motorbikes. They're cool. They're interesting. I've said that word a lot recently, but it's true. The faction system in general really encourages, I feel like, good character design. Not everybody is samey. If you have a faction with a super unique vibe, obviously all the characters within it are going to match that and be extremely distinct from any member of the faction next to them. The Sons of Caladon arc toward Inferno was a time, okay? The emotions I felt during those cutscenes, unmatched. There was a lot of emotions in general during that arc. I feel like you just got really emotionally attached to a lot of these characters. Despite the fact that we're sort of all over the place with the numbers, I know all of these characters have their fans, and they are passionate. All different types of personalities, different career paths. Lyra's there, that's always a plus. They are just the definition of cool in Zenless Zone Zero and their popularity really stands the test of time. Out of several thousand responses, only eight people gave them a one out of 10. Goodness gracious. But speaking of withstanding the test of time, the number one most popular faction in Zenless Zone Zero, you know them, you love them, it's the Cunning Hares with an average score of 8.45.
Their members include Nicole, Anby, Billy, and Nekomiya Mana and they are absolutely the OG above anybody else.
The first characters you see when you boot up the game, the first character you see when you look at the icon of the game before you even touch it. Their most popular member is Billy. Let's go.
I thought it was going to be Anby or Nicole for sure. Billy with 37.7% of votes followed by Anby with 30.1%, Nicole with 27.9%, and unsurprisingly Nekomiya with 126 votes. Rest in peace, queen. The Cunning Hares, the Team Rocket of Zenless Zone Zero and the first ever faction we get to meet makes me feel at home. I see so many people talking about the found family aspect of the Cunning Hares, literally and like metaphorically, specifically between Nicole and Anby. We've gotten so much good lore from these characters. I've personally become super emotionally attached to like every single one of them. They're funny, they're quirky, they're silly, they're stylish. There is so much to love about every single member of the Cunning Hares, whether you love all of them or not. They're just unique, they're fun. I love the Team Rocket comparison. I feel like that's a perfect way to describe them and I feel like they perfectly encapsulate the vibes of Zenless Zone Zero during season 1 when the game first came out. Like I have so much nostalgia of that era. The modern urban vibes in all of their designs. Like can we just, you know, can we just go back? Can we Now I'll be putting my agenda in this video. Okay, I'm not the only one who feels that way, all right? Not surprised whatsoever to see them clear. You know what? In fact, I'm proud of them for it. Despite the fact that they came out first, continuing to be the most popular faction in this game to this day. Then the Zenless Zone Zero devs, take notes.
The people yearn for their modern urban setting and characters, okay? So, what do y'all think? Are you surprised that any of these faction placements ruffle your feathers? Let me know in the comments down below. But, we're not done yet. I asked a few additional questions at the bottom of the survey. First of which is, "Who's your favorite bang boo from the mentioned factions?" Number one, we have Robin from Mockingbird with 24.7% of votes. In second place, we have Butler from Victoria Housekeeping with 13.9% of votes. And in third place, we have Amelia from the Cunning Hares with 11% of the votes. Okay, but who's the least popular? Safety from Belobog Heavy Industries. And they were also the that last faction. What the heck? I also asked if any of y'all have an idea for a future faction for Zenless Zone Zero. A faction full of Tyrants. Not half human, half Tyrants, but full Tyrants. The full frontal Tyrants. That would be sick. I would love that. Either a traveling carnival troop or a group based off magical creatures, i.e. fairies. [music] But, to be honest, just any group where there's more guys than girls. It would be really cool, dude. I love the idea of a carnival troop in particular. I think that would go so hard. Make them weird.
Make them uncanny and unnerving. Give me a con- tortionist, okay? A silent clown man. He doesn't speak. Quit looking at ME LIKE THAT. A criminal gang, mayhaps.
Or perhaps a fallen angel faction. Would also love that. I am always here for some morally gray playable characters.
Similarly, I really want a mafia or generally organized crime faction for Zenless Zone Zero. They always make the characters good guys who do nothing wrong, and I want some morally gray agents. Plus, then we might get more hot women in suits. Real. A nautical faction themed around seagoers. There's a lot of cool potential weapons like anchors, cannons, harpoons, tridents, and nets. I love that. Bro, put the thyrons in there. The big beluga whale. I meant to say killer whale, but you know what?
Beluga whale, he can stay, too. He can hang. Oh my god, like Ellen Joe's mom.
Okay, I said this in my thyron video. I was like, what if Ellen Joe, like her dad is a giant shark man and her mom is a human? No, no, no, no, no. Flip it.
Okay, the mom is this like epic shark woman and the dad is like just like a human pirate guy. Like, yes, ma'am. Oh my god, give us like a captain pirate woman who is a shark. Hacker-themed faction. I'm seeing lots of hacker-themed factions. I think that would be cool, too. Perhaps they can be related to the like criminal organization club. Club, she says. Lots of, you know, antagonistic or morally gray characters. A faction with a majority of male members since there's currently no faction that has that.
Firefighting faction. Ladies, that could be the all-male faction. Give them fat mustaches and fat asses. Some kind of circus troupe would be cool. I also am in full support of this idea. In fact, I feel like the circus troupe thing is like my favorite idea so far that I've seen. A faction purely of bugs or reptiles and they could be like a street gang. That would be fun. I love all these ideas so far, you guys. These are great. Maybe a weather company, forecast something. I D K considering the addition of wind attribute. A weather reporter faction. Wait, I kind of love that. It's so stupid it might just work.
Oh, and like all of Yeah, yeah, yeah, like all their personalities are related to different weather types. An airhead with the windy attribute, sunny and bright optimistic, a stormy character who's temperamental, tsundere electric stunner. Wait, they're cooking. I'm sorry I doubted you. The Starlight Knights. You know what? Honestly, yeah.
Ethereal faction, please. Ooh, yes, I love that, too. All right, I got like over a thousand responses on that question in particular. If you want to see any more of those, let me know.
Maybe I can make a separate video going over more of your responses. Anyway, I think that's where we're going to end this video for today. Thank you so much for watching, and as I said before, thank you for everyone who participated.
Be sure to subscribe if you're interested in taking more community surveys in the future. I always post on them both on my community tab and on Twitter. So, whichever method you prefer, feel free to go follow there. If you're interested in seeing the results of that Summon Soul Zero character design survey, I conducted that a month or two ago, so I'll be sure to link that in my end slate in case you want to watch that one, too. I hope you guys have a great rest of your day, and I will see you in my next video. Goodbye.
