Next Weather: WBZ Mid-Morning Update For May 3

[00:00:00]Um, but at least the rainier day was yesterday. We can enjoy some more dry air today. Yes, especially if you're on the Cape right now waking up to some rain overnight and early this morning.

[00:00:10]You'll start You're starting to see that clearing out as well, too. For the Red Sox game coming up today, 1:30 this afternoon, temperatures will be in the middle 50s. So, the cloudy sky is not helping us too much. I'd grab a jacket if you're planning to head to the game today. An isolated super isolated pop-up shower is possible, but most are going to stay very dry for this Sunday. And then as we get into the start of this week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, a chance, especially if you're farther inland, to string together three 70° days for us. Tuesday is going to be the winner, though, with the more sunshine and warmer temperatures. Now, we do get a little cooler as we get into the middle of the week, ending Ending the week off with some rain chances picking back up by Wednesday. So, right now we're starting off at 45 in Boston. It's a little breezy outside as well. Winds at 15 mph. And everyone is stepping out into the middle 40s this morning. Not a bad start to the day. Uh, but as we take a closer look here, you'll notice that the showers around the Cape are really starting to clear on out, and we're going to be left with drier weather for this Sunday. Just going to be that battle between the cloudy skies and then that sun trying to peek through. And at times it's going to be We'll see the sun out today. And we've seen it throughout the morning show. Every time we check in on that camera, it's a different story, whether it be a little sunnier or we see more cloud cover. Now, these next few hours could feature a very brief pop-up shower. Today's going to be drier for us, and we also are going to go with a mix of sun and clouds. That gets us ready for clear skies coming up tonight.

[00:01:35]Temperatures back into the 60s. It'll start off cooler, though, tomorrow morning as we do get the clear skies overnight. The first part of the week is dry, great weather coming up as we begin to warm up. However, by Wednesday, we pick up a daily chance for rain, and then we start to drop temperatures Thursday through the weekend. So, let's take a look here. We've put Futurecast all the way to Tuesday 4:00. This is after a nice warm, dry day. And then we begin to see the clouds developing Tuesday night into Wednesday, which brings us to some showers. Now, every single day from Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, picking up that chance for rain, and then we're going to be starting to cool down Thursday through the weekend.

[00:02:11]Low pressure system nearby a 9:00 Thursday evening with rain still on the way, and then it becomes a bit more scattered, the rain chances into Friday. Uh, but either way, we need some of this rain. Right now, we're abnormally dry for New England. And into southern New England, and for Boston, we're just now at the very low end of the drought category. So, we could use some of this extra rain, for sure. But we'll we'll keep it away for us the Monday, Tuesday, and we'll take that. 69 for the high tomorrow. Back to the sunshine for Monday. And then even warmer as we get into Tuesday. For those of us that are a little farther inland, we'll see potentially three 70° days.

And then again, we pick up daily chances for rain Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. And temperatures do go a little cooler back into the 50s for the weekend, Anna.
