This video presents a Divine Mercy Adoration session led by Fr Jacob Arimpur VC at Divine Retreat Centre, featuring the Divine Mercy Chaplet, the Lord's Prayer, the Hail Mary, and the Apostles' Creed. The main reflection focuses on Matthew 14:22-33, where Jesus dismisses the crowds after feeding 5,000 people and sends his disciples into a boat that will face a storm. The priest explains that Jesus deliberately withdrew to avoid being made a political king by force, teaching that true discipleship requires following Jesus through suffering rather than seeking worldly recognition. The session emphasizes that prayer should be a source of strength and rest, not a task, and that suffering sent by God is meant to build us up rather than destroy us. The adoration concludes with a healing prayer invoking Jesus's blood to transform the faithful's weak bodies into healthy, vigorous lives.

Let us close our eyes for a few moments and let us bring before our mind our Lord Jesus sacrificing himself on that wooden cross on Mount Calvary.
Let us approach our crucified Jesus with a heart full of gratitude for what he has done in our life already.
We often come with a list of prayers, with a list of things that we want and we often forget that the Lord has done a great thing in each one's life.
And if we keep on thanking him, this life is not going to be enough for it.
Let us make use of these moments. Let us unite ourselves with that crucifixion of our Lord Jesus at this time. Let us unite ourselves with the precious body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus.
And let us express our gratitude to our Lord.
Let us open our hearts.
Let us fill our heart with gratitude. And let us receive the infinite mercy and love and compassion of our Lord Jesus that is poured out upon us from the cross of our Lord.
Let us begin this divine mercy devotion.
We sign ourselves in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
>> Amen. You expired Jesus, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. Oh f of life, unfathomable divine mercy, enveloped the whole world and empty yourself out upon us. Oh blood and water which gushed forth from the heart of Jesus as a f of mercy for us.

We seek the intercession of our blessed mother. We pray together. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. >> My dear brothers and sisters, today the word that is given to us for our reflection and our meditation is from the Gospel of St. Matthew 14 22-33 Gospel of Matthew 14 22-33 we read Jesus walking on the water but before Jesus uh walked on the water there is something which is happening which we need to reflect upon before this incident we see that Jesus fed 5,000 people And when these people were fed, the word of God says immediately, soon after this, soon after doing this great miracle of feeding more than 5,000 people, the word of God says immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side.
Now, as we are in the presence of the Lord, let us reflect and think about this. Why Jesus is taking such an immediate action? The word of God says immediately he made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side and he dismissed the crowds.
So why is Jesus compelling the disciples to leave? Why is he dismissing the crowd? Why the Lord is acting like this?
St. John reveals to us in his gospel chapter 6:E1 15 when Jesus performed that great miracle thousands of people have been fed miraculously what happened St. John is giving us a detail he says Jesus knowing that they intended to come and make him king by force withdrew again to a mountain by himself. So now we understand people are so excited because they have seen a great miracle and they are they are so much at awe for what Jesus did. And so now they are coming and they want to make Jesus their king by force.
And Jesus came to know about their intention.
Because Jesus came to know about their intention. Immediately he's making his disciples get into the boat, leave the place. He's dismissing the crowd and he is going up the mountain to pray.
Hallelujah.
>> Together. Hallelujah.
>> Thank you Jesus.
>> Thank you Jesus.
>> My dear brothers and sisters, the crowd often wanted to have a messiah who is a political king. That's what their expectation was that we will have a Messiah who will overthrow the kingdom of Rome. And so now they see the miraculous intervention of Jesus and they think that he is the fitting person. If he is our king, we will have victory over the Roman Empire because he will perform miracles and wonders. But the Lord is making it very clear that he's not come to be a political savior or a political messiah.
He is deliberately ending that moment and sending everyone away. And he is making this very clear that I have not come to take power the political power but I have come to be a suffering servant. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
>> My dear brothers and sisters, even today this is a tendency because of which many people are following Jesus. He performed miracles and wonders and so we want that miraculous and wondrous intervention of Jesus and so we are following him. But time and again the Lord is redirecting our focus. The Lord is telling us that his intention is not just to perform some miracles and wonders and go away.
The Lord is teaching us important lessons in life. And one of the important lessons is about his suffering. There is no Christianity without suffering. Without cross there cannot be following Jesus Christ.
Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Together. Hallelujah. Thank you Jesus.
Praise you Jesus. My dear brothers and sisters, we know that we are people who are often carried away by the praises of people. If people are speaking good about us, we are so easily carried away by that. Today Jesus is revealing who is a really mature spiritual person who is not carried away by the good words of people but he is ready to end that moment. Jesus is deliberately ending that moment of praise and admiration and he's dismissing the crowd and we see that Jesus is going up the mountain to pray to spend his time with the father.
Hallelujah. So here is what the spirit of God is revealing to us that the joy of a disciple is to be with the father just like Jesus.
Do I really experience that joy when I am with the lord when I am with with my god with my father with Jesus with the holy spirit? Do I really experience the joy of life? Or am I finding the joy when people say good things about me, when people are praising me, when people are elevating me, when people are appreciating me. One of the reasons that we are sad today is that we are not being recognized by people by our own near and dear ones. My own husband, my own wife, my own children, my own friends, they are not recognizing me. In my workplace, I'm not getting the due recognition or respect. We are people who are always wanting the recognition of others. But today Jesus is reminding us this is not a real disciple.
A real disciple will find true joy with the Lord and he will only seek the Lord not the applause of other people. So let us pray. My dear brothers and sisters, this decade that many times in our life we have committed huge mistakes because we have been going after what people uh find pleasing. In order to please other people, in order to get their respect, in order to get their uh admiration, we have we have committed lot of mistakes in life.
We did not think what pleases God, what pleases my father.
Let's ask pardon from our lord. Let's ask mercy for all such moments of failure. And let us pray for the holy spirit so that we be enlightened to see such moments in our life and never to repeat that again. We pray together.
Eternal Father, I offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved son, our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world. For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> As we come to the second decade of divine mercy, let us reflect once again on the action of our Lord Jesus. He is going up the mountain to pray. That's what the scripture says. He immediately made the disciples get into the boat and he's sending them away. He's dismissing the crowd and he is ascending the mountain to be with the father. My dear brothers and sisters, let's think about this. When we are having a hard day, what is our approach to prayer?
When we are tired, when we are exhausted and when our all our energy is gone at the end of the day, this is what we often say that God understands that now I cannot sit for prayer and so let me go and sleep. There's so many days that we have skipped our prayer time. And one of the reasons that we often say is we are so tired. We have been working and toiling all throughout this day. and I'm really exhausted. I cannot now sit for prayer. Think about Jesus. The Lord was ministering throughout the day. He was with the people, teaching, preaching, feeding them, and now he is completely exhausted.
But yet he's not saying that my father will understand that I'm exhausted and I need some rest.
He is not compromising with that time with the father. No matter how tired, no matter how exhausted is is he, no matter how much lack of energy he's experiencing, he's completely drained out. And yet that experience is driving him towards the father. That experience is not driving him away from the father, but that experience is bringing him closer to the father.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah. Let us ask ourselves today that when I am exhausted throughout the day, I am involved and I'm engaged in lot of activities. When I'm exhausted, what do I say that now I deserve a break from God or do I say that I need God more than ever?
We are doing lot of good activities.
Maybe we are serving others. We are we are taking care of others and lot of good things that we are doing but that is not actually telling us to stop praying and God has understood that we are tired and exhausted in the moments of fatigue. We understand that we are often functioning on our own strength.
We are functioning on our own strength.
And that's why when we are tired, we are not thinking about God. We are not we are not thinking about prayer. We are just skipping it.
If we were really functioning on God, if we were really functioning on the strength and grace that comes from God, then we would come to God in the moments of fatigue and exhaustion to get that strength and power in our life to recharge oursel once again. Hallelujah.
>> Together. Hallelujah. So Jesus is not praying after taking rest but Jesus is resting in prayer. That's the difference. We take prayer as a task and that's why we get tired after some moments of praying after some hours of praying we get tired because we are not experiencing rest in prayer. But Jesus for him prayer that relationship with the father was the source of his energy was the source of his power and strength. So let us examine ourselves today. Do I really have such an experience of prayer in my life or is it just about repeating some wrote prayers and finishing the task and checking the box and to say that I have prayed today.
Do I really get the strength and power in the moments of tiredness and exhaustion? Do I really come to God more than ever in such moments? We pray to the Lord at this time.

>> For the sake of his sorrowful passion, >> have mercy on us and on the whole world.
>> Hallelujah.

>> Hallelujah.
>> Thank you Jesus.
>> Thank you Jesus.
>> Praise you Jesus.
>> Praise you Jesus.
>> Let's all stand and let us take part in this moments of divine mercy. We have come to this third decade and we take part standing and looking to the Lord, reflecting and meditating on the word that God has given to us today.
Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> We read that what is happening immediately. He made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead to the other side while he dismissed the crowds. So my dear brothers and sisters, now when Jesus is sending these apostles into the sea, we find there is a storm coming in the sea.
Now let us think about this. Jesus is God and he knows everything.
He knows what is going to take place in the sea. He knows about the storm that is building up in the sea. And yet the word of God says Jesus is sending these disciples into that sea that is very soon going to have a storm. In other words, now the disciples who are in a boat which is being battered by the sea, by the waves of the sea, they are in terrible distress and lot of tensions and worries and lot of hard times.
And how did they land up here? The word of God says Jesus sent them there.
Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> So we are we are being reminded once again that there are sufferings that is coming to us from God. And when God is giving us suffering, it is not to destroy us but to build us up.
Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Thank you Jesus. Thank you.
>> We read in 1 Peter 4 14-16, St. Peter writes, "If you are reviled for the name of Christ, you are blessed because the spirit of glory, which is the spirit of God, is resting on you.
But let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, a criminal, or even as a mischief maker. If any of you suffers as a Christian, do not consider it a disgrace but glorify God because you bear this name. Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> So today as we are standing before our Lord Jesus, let us think about our suffering, whatever pain, hard times that we are going through, St. Peter is saying there could be two reasons behind it. One, either it is sent to us by God.
It could be a sickness. It could be a crisis. It could be any kind of hardship. It could be sent by God. Or St. Peter writes, "It could be your own making."
St. Peter is saying that let none of you suffer as a murderer, a thief, a criminal or even as a mischief maker. So I suffer when I'm committing all these evil things. I'm suffering.
Let us let us examine ourselves. What is the nature of my suffering?
Is this suffering that I'm going through my own making or is it sent to me by my God? If it is sent to me by my God, then the word of God is saying the spirit of glory is resting upon me. Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> The word of God is reminding us it is not a matter of disgrace. Suffering should not be seen as a matter of disgrace. If I am a Christian, then suffering is my companion. Just like these disciples who were following Jesus, they obeyed Jesus and yet they are in terrible suffering now. So let us pray at this time. Let's look towards Jesus and let us pray. Lord Jesus, you know every storm in my life. Be with me in my suffering whether it comes from your own will or my own mistakes.
Forgive me Lord. Guide me and strengthen me. Let me glorify you even when I suffer.
We say together, amen.
>> Amen.
>> Louder. Amen.
>> Amen.

>> My dear brothers and sisters, the word of God teaches us that the wind was against them. These disciples they were rowing the boat but the boat was not able to progress because the wind was against them.
Right now the Lord is reminding us something and the Lord is giving us this message. What is more important is to keep rowing. Whether our boat is making any headway, whether we are making any progress, that's not what Jesus sees.
What Jesus sees is the sincere effort that we are putting. These disciples, even if the wind is against them, they are rowing their boat. They're rowing their boat. And that is an effort that the Lord is expecting from each one of us. I may not be succeeding, but if I'm faithful, if I'm faithful to God, if I'm faithful in putting this sincere effort to come out of my sinful addictions, to come out of sinful relationship, to give up all those sinful things, if I'm really making an honest effort, the Lord is promising his intervention in our life.
The Lord intervened in the lives of these disciples when they were straining against the wind. And the Lord is expecting from us also this same thing.
The Lord is not saying that you don't do anything and you will come out of your sins. The Lord is saying you have to strain against the wind. You have to put effort and then only you will see the divine intervention taking place in your life. Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Hallelujah.
>> Let us all kneel down this final decade.
Let us pray to God. Let us thank him for giving us the strength, for enabling us during these moments of adoration. Also, the Lord has given us the grace to overcome many of the sinful addictions, the sinful uh things that we are we are having in our life. The Lord has given us the grace and the Lord is saying that you put effort and you will see coming out. You will come out of these sinful things. Let us thank the Lord and with a grateful heart. Let us sing together and let us pray this final decade of divine mercy.
Eternal Father, I offer you the body and blood, soul and divinity of your dearly beloved son, our Lord Jesus. Jesus Christ in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.
For the sake of his sorrowful passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
