[00:00:00]All right, thanks Matt. As the war in Iran continues to jack up oil prices, there may be signs at the gas pump that the peace still negotiations could be heading in the right direction.

[00:00:09]>> Yeah, some gas stations have listed a gallon of regular gas for under $4 a gallon. And Fox 61's Glenn Kittle talks about some of the relief at the pump and how long it could last.

[00:00:23]That's how much a gallon of regular is going for here at the Citgo along the Berlin Turnpike here in Newington. And just check out how full this gas station is as people are getting ready to go out on their morning commute, filling up their tanks, and seeing $3 on a gallon of regular. It's a trend that we have been following since before Memorial Day weekend, where gas prices since then have gone down about a nickel across the state. These lower gas prices come as peace talks between the US and Iran are ramping up. We've heard from President Trump, who has insisted that the peace deal that would reopen the Strait of Hormuz, that critical waterway that transports oil across the world, is within reach. However, just a few hours ago, oil prices had fallen as well as stocks alongside it. That's after the US hit Iran with an airstrike against a drone control station. We're told that this is the second hostile exchange between the two countries in the last 3 days. officials said the drones pose a threat to American forces and the little amount of commercial shipping that still accesses the Strait of Hormuz. How this will affect the peace talks is still yet to be seen. However, how will affect the prices at the pump is what people are focused on. We spoke to some people this morning who said that they're enjoying the cheaper prices while they last.

[00:01:45]Um but I don't know. Hopefully it stabilizes and doesn't keep going like a roller coaster cuz I don't like spending like $100 for gas when I can, you know, spend some 50 or 60.
